Victoria, my recommended movie

I want to recommend a film that, as it progresses, builds a monumental character, that is, it is a character film, as it focuses on the protagonist of the story.

Victoria (Sebastian Shipper; 2015), is a film with two great ambitions that fulfill its premise: to take a character from point A to an extreme point B, all filmed in a single sequence shot for 140 minutes (no gimmick, it is said).

The story tells us about a night in the life of Victoria, a Spanish girl based in Berlin, an employee of a coffee shop, who leaves a techno club to run into (in the end we could say collide) with a group of guys who invite her to have a few beers. From this point on, Victoria's life takes a roller coaster ride.

What makes this film and Shipper's work stand out is the ability to weave together cinematic genres with admirable subtlety, as it moves from the piece to the chronicle, from the romance to the caper movie, through the thriller and the chase. A bomb in the brain, I promise you that the intensity will increase in volume and you will be left on the edge of your seat.

If you feel like it and plan to watch it, I recommend that, if at the beginning it seems lazy, boring, wait until you get to the scene in the cafeteria, which is where the pace starts to accelerate, while the dramatic tension starts to stretch the league.
