Hello cinephile friends, I have been waiting for a long time for a new Film contest and I am excited about this initiative of the Cine TV community, Movies that rocked your childhood. Of course when I read the prompt only one movie came to my mind and it couldn't be other than The Lost World: Jurassic Park.

I have noticed how children even today, love dinosaurs, these prehistoric animals definitely captivate children because there is nothing more interesting for a child to know that those monstrous reptiles really existed in the past, we are immersed in a fantastic world that seems to touch fiction but it is not. Such magnificent beings really existed.

I was one of those children, passionate about dinosaurs, with an encyclopedic illustrated collection in which I could distract myself and acquire knowledge about these beings, every week I would go with my mother to a Store to buy a new magazine for the collection.

My encyclopedic book collection

Therefore, you can imagine my excitement when they announced the movie The Lost World: Jurassic Park, it was an event that I could not miss, so it did not take long to attend the cinema in my city and I still keep in memory that day as if it had been yesterday, it definitely marked me, I can remember the scenes on the big screen, my seat location, the comments at the end of the movie. It was definitely one of the happiest days of my childhood.

As a child, what impressed me most about this film was not so much the plot but rather the scenes where I could see the dinosaurs with incredible realism, as if I were watching a documentary of Animal Planet, which was one of my favorite channels as a child. The scene that first comes to my mind when I think of The Lost World: Jurassic Park, is the scene where our protagonists for the first time watch the Stegosaurus moving through a forest of extremely tall trees, a very prehistoric environment that I had only seen in my encyclopedic collection. That scene made me see or imagine for the first time what these beings were like in their natural habitat.

Another of the scenes that I remember the most and that made my heart jump, is the scene where the T-rex attack the Trailer in which the protagonists are, dragging it towards a precipice, where it seems that they have no salvation, it is a moment of great tension, especially when one of our protagonists falls on the rear glass of the Trailer, and with every movement the glass begins to crack. Undoubtedly a very suspenseful scene, that's why I remember it in a special way.

And finally another shocking scene for me, is the arrival of the T-Rex to the city, when it escapes from the ship that transports it, the end of the film definitely has a touch of comedy, when a child who also loves dinosaurs wakes up surprised by the noise and to his surprise he sees this incredible dinosaur.

I think every child dreams of seeing a dinosaur in real life, I dreamed of seeing one, and I remember that at my grandmother's house I used to see the herons flying at the end of the afternoon, when they were already going to their resting place, but often there was one of them that was late and was seen passing by at night, so you could not appreciate it very well and its legs extended backwards resembled the tail of some kind of Pterosaur, I was almost convinced that it was a dinosaur and watched it pass by frequently with excitement.

The Lost World: Jurassic Park, marked my childhood, and although I have never lost interest in these magnificent beings, I must admit that cinematically this saga has declined and their films are not what they once were, as much as I have tried to enjoy their most recent releases, I think they somehow lost their essence. So for me there is nothing like The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Oh and of course the first Jurassic Park movie, but my childhood memories of the latter are not so clear.

Thank you very much for your attention, I hope you liked my participation.

Jurassic Park really is marked in a lot of us, we have seen the movies as we grow up and it was crazily beautiful and scary at the same time. Well if you love Dino (probably because of Barney) you have definitely watched all Jurassic Park movie, it's classic and one of the best in it's era!

Please, please, please tell me that with your passion for dinos that you have played Ark: Survival Evolved???? If not, you really need to. This movie was so groundbreaking and tapped into the kid in all of us who adored dinos! Thanks for participating in our contest!
