Hello Hive cinephile friends, today I want to share with you a review and opinion of an episode of the classic suspense series, Alfred Hitchcock Presents. Before telling you about the episode I am obliged to talk briefly about Alfred Hitchcock, who is known, or rather bears the title of the greatest master of suspense to this day, has a large collection of films and series from 1922 (with silent films) to 1976, almost 60 years of film work. Alfred Hitchcock Presents is one of his series which began in 1955 and had 7 seasons and 268 episodes.

The episode I want to talk about is "In The Fog" whose original title is "Fogbound", and tells the story of a beautiful woman who one foggy night awaits the arrival of her husband home, when late at night, a man knocks on the door, claiming that his vehicle has run out of fuel and needs to make a call, the young woman frightened and feeling vulnerable with that strange man, does not allow him to enter and asks him to leave, the man pleads with him because he says that his girlfriend is in the car and does not want to leave her alone while he asks for help, but the woman refuses. Hours later the police knock on her door to inform her that a tragedy has befallen the girl waiting in the car. Our protagonist cannot help but feel guilty, but there is nothing she can do, and she must face a situation that will put her life at risk and that will lead her to discover the murderer, who seems to be closer than she imagines.

I love how Hitchcock always plays with our mind, unlike other episodes this one does not have that suspense that makes you sweat, it is rather, a police type episode, in which any of the characters could be the victimizer, and as usual the story takes an unexpected turn, unsuspected, something that characterizes Hitchcock's work. But it also takes us on a journey through emotions such as guilt, regret, anger, revenge and forgiveness, something that gives greater depth to the story.

Another aspect to highlight in this episode and that is also characteristic of Hitchcock's work is that after the tragedy, finally the good wins, he really knows how to play with our emotions, and puts us on the side of those who before we were against and vice versa, it's like a roller coaster of emotions.

If I had to extract a message from this story I would say that it teaches us not to get carried away by appearances, and to always do good, as a saying that is often said in my country, "do good and do not look at who" although this idea may have led many people to tragedy, because you can not trust everyone, it is a complex issue, I guess it's a matter of context.

Without further ado I say goodbye to you, hoping that you are encouraged to take a look at some of the episodes of this magnificent series, which you can easily find on Youtube.

Thank you very much for your attention.
