Hola amigos amantes del cine, hace tiempo había planificado ver películas con mis amigas @nayshot, @paoladiaz y @valeriachacon, los meses habían pasado y no habíamos podido concretar este encuentro, sin embargo ayer, durante el cumpleaños del hijo de una de mis amigas, nos dimos la tarea de elegir una película para ver, así que decidimos ver Midsommar, una película de terror recomendada por mi amiga Valeria. Nos divertimos mucho comentando la película, era de terror pero con nuestros comentarios parecía que veíamos una película de comedia.
Midsommar fue producida en 2019, en Estados Unidos, dirigida por Ari Aster, con un amplio reparto en el que todos eran los protagonistas. Este film, trata de unos jóvenes amigos que deciden ir a Suecia, a un festival en lo que parece un lugar de retiro, llevado a cabo por personas que parecen pertenecer a una secta, sus costumbres son muy raras, entre ellas el hecho de que todos los pertenecientes a esta secta se sacrifican a los 72 años, por no considerarse ya útiles para la sociedad. La forma en que se sacrifican resulta bastante grotesca y esta es solo una de las extrañas costumbres de las que nuestros protagonistas son testigos. Pronto las cosas empiezan a tornarse incomodas para ellos y comienzan a temer y a poner en duda su seguridad, y aunque intentan huir, sin darse cuenta cada vez se ven más involucrados, hasta no poder escapar de los planes que esta secta tiene para ellos.
En primer lugar debo reconocer el increíble trabajo de fotografía de este film, el entorno, los encuadres, los colores son magníficos, el azul del cielo, el verde de las praderas es lo más llamativo, incluso reímos cuando sugerí que una de las piedras utilizadas para los sacrificios era muy bonita, pero es que sinceramente los elementos del film eran muy llamativos.
Sin embargo, la historia se desarrolla de forma lenta, dando cabida a que quienes puedan tener un poco de sueño se duerman antes de que observemos un desenlace, como le sucedió a mi amiga @nayshot quien se durmió en parte de la película hasta que la historia empezó a ponerse sangrienta y cosas sumamente extrañas y algo repugnantes empezaron a pasar.
La película realmente no da miedo, me pareció más bien con mucho suspenso y bastante grotesca, y concluye con una factor sorpresa que no es tan impactante, pero que le suma puntos a la calidad del film, porque nos brinda una explicación del por qué de los acontecimientos. En la reseña no he querido revelar muchos datos para que no arruinarles la trama, aunque al final no sé si recomendarles esta película. Creo que lo que más me gustó del film fue el hecho de verla junto a mis amigas y poder reírnos y comentarla, pero creo que si la hubiese visto solo, no la hubiese disfrutado como lo hice.
Le daré 7.8 Puntos, y recomiendo que si decides verla no lo hagas solo, sin duda verla en compañía la hará mucho más interesante pues puede ser bastante polémica y da mucho de qué hablar.

Hello friends movie lovers, some time ago I had planned to watch movies with my friends @nayshot, @paoladiaz and @valeriachacon, months had passed and we had not been able to realize this meeting, however yesterday, during the birthday of the son of one of my friends, we gave ourselves the task of choosing a movie to watch, so we decided to watch Midsommar, a horror movie recommended by my friend Valeria. We had a lot of fun commenting on the movie, it was horror but with our comments it seemed like we were watching a comedy movie.
Midsommar was produced in 2019, in the United States, directed by Ari Aster, with a large cast in which everyone was the protagonist. This film, is about some young friends who decide to go to Sweden, to a festival in what looks like a place of retirement, carried out by people who seem to belong to a sect, their customs are very strange, among them the fact that all those belonging to this sect sacrifice themselves at the age of 72, because they are no longer considered useful to society. The way they sacrifice themselves is quite grotesque and this is just one of the strange customs that our protagonists witness. Soon things start to become uncomfortable for them and they begin to fear and question their safety, and although they try to flee, without realizing it they become more and more involved, until they are unable to escape the plans that this sect has for them.
First of all I must recognize the incredible photography work of this film, the environment, the framing, the colors are magnificent, the blue of the sky, the green of the meadows is the most striking, we even laughed when I suggested that one of the stones used for the sacrifices was very beautiful, but it is that honestly the elements of the film were very striking.
However, the story unfolds slowly, giving room for those who may be a bit sleepy to fall asleep before we observe a denouement, as happened to my friend @nayshot who fell asleep part way through the film until the story started to get gory and extremely strange and somewhat disgusting things started to happen.
The movie really isn't scary, I found it rather suspenseful and rather grotesque, and it concludes with a surprise factor that isn't that shocking, but it adds points to the quality of the film, because it gives us an explanation as to why the events happened. In the review I didn't want to reveal too much information so as not to spoil the plot, although in the end I don't know whether to recommend this film. I think what I liked most about the film was the fact of watching it with my friends and being able to laugh and comment on it, but I think that if I had seen it alone, I would not have enjoyed it as much as I did.
I will give it 7.8 points, and I recommend that if you decide to watch it, don't do it alone, without a doubt, watching it in company will make it much more interesting because it can be quite controversial and gives a lot to talk about.
