Synopsis
After the defeat of the Atreides under the attack of the Harkonnen, secretly led by the emperor himself, Paul Atreides continues his journey among the Fremen. His mother becomes the voice of the Kwisatz Haderach, while Paul takes the name Muad'dib and shows the Fremen the way to regain control of Harrakis.
Casting
Renowned actors on both sides of the conflict. Excellent acting, full of action, but also moving at times.
My opinion
Full of action and history, I admit that I preferred this chapter to the first one, which left me with a bitter taste in comparison to the first trilogy. This one makes up for it, I enjoyed watching it.
We are treated to the rides of the Shai-Hulud, the story between Paul and Chani, and the rise to power of the man who will lead the Fremen people. We see him grow and follow a predetermined path, convincing the most skeptical while honoring the most devout.
The actors are well chosen and rise to the challenge of their roles, and the film's various special effects are very well done.
Watch it after seeing the first one, of course, to understand the world of Dune. I can't wait to see the third part, which won't be released in theaters until late 2026, so we'll have to be patient before it arrives on Netflix.
Feel free to let me know if you felt the same way about the film, if you preferred the first one, or if the version with Sting and Kyle MacLachlan remains your favorite. After seeing this chapter, for me, the two versions are equally good, in different ways.

Synopsis
Après la défaite des Atréides sous l'attaque des Harkonnen, secrètement dirigée par l'empereur lui-même, Paul Atréide poursuit son chemin parmi les Fremens. Sa mère se fait la voix du Kwisatz Haderach, pendant que Paul prend le nom de Muad'dib et montre le chemin aux Fremens pour reprendre le contrôle de Harrakis.
Distribution
Des acteurs de renom aussi bien du côté des "gentils" que dans le mauvais camps. Un très bon jeu d'acteurs, plein d'action, mais parfois aussi émouvant.
Mon Avis
Fort en action et en histoire, j'avoue avoir préféré ce chapitre au premier qui m'avait laissé un goût amer en comparaison de la première trilogie. Celui-ci rattrape bien le coup, j'ai aimé le regarder.
Nous avons droit aux chevauchées des Shai-Hulud et à l'histoire entre Paul et Chani ainsi qu'à la montée en puissance de celui qui dirigera le peuple des Fremen. On le voit grandir et suivre un chemin tout tracé, convaincre les plus sceptiques tout en rendant honneur aux plus croyants.
Les acteurs sont bien choisis et relèvent le défi des rôles qui leur sont attribués, et les différents effets spéciaux du film sont très bien réalisés.
A regarder après avoir vu le premier évidemment pour comprendre l'univers de Dune. J'ai hâte de voir la troisième partie qui ne viendra que fin 2026 au cinéma, il faudra donc encore un peu de patience avant de l'avoir sur Netflix.
N'hésitez pas à me dire si le film vous a fait le même effet, si vous avez plutôt préféré le premier, où si la version avec Sting et Kyle MacLachlan reste votre préférée ? Après avoir vu ce chapitre, pour moi les deux versions se valent, dans des registres différents.
