Welcome Hivers to this new post, today following on from this week's 7th Art & More recaps, where we will be talking about "Pranksters", to celebrate Prank Day which is celebrated on April 1st, I tell you a little bit about the twins Crash and Eddie, the possums from Ice Age 2.
Bienvenidos Hivers a este nuevo post, el día de hoy siguiendo con los resúmenes de esta semana para 7mo Arte & Más, donde hablaremos de “Bromistas”, para celebrar el Día de las Bromas que se celebra el 1° de abril, les cuento un poco de los gemelos Crash y Eddie, las zarigüeyas de La Era del Hielo 2.
Crash and Eddie are the possums who begin their adventure with Manny, Sid and Diego, after being chased by the latter two, after having annoyed them by throwing pebbles at them. These mischievous possums are the brothers of the "last mammoth" Ellie, who was discovered alone in the snow and took refuge under the tree where they lived.
Crash y Eddie son las zarigüeyas que comienzan su aventura con Manny, Sid y Diego, después de ser perseguidos por los dos últimos, luego de haberlos molestado lanzándoles piedritas. They are also the biggest fans of Buck, the weasel they met in the Lost World of Dinosaurs. The twins are the ones who support Ellie in many moments and take care of her from the dangers around her, being much bigger than them. So it is a mutual protection, especially in the dangers of the day.
Son además los fanáticos más grandes de Buck, la comadreja que conocieron en el Mundo Perdido de los Dinosaurios. Los gemelos son quienes apoyan a Ellie en muchos momentos y la cuidan de los peligros a su alrededor, siendo ella mucho más grande que ellos. Por lo que es una protección mutua, sobre todo en los peligros del día.
Of course they do, just like Fred and George who are the comic reliefs within the saga, they also play a role that helps their friends. In the first movie in which we see them, they not only save Ellie from drowning in the cave when looking for help, they also help Sid when he is being dragged, until Diego saves them.
Claro que sí, al igual que Fred y George que son los alivios cómicos dentro de la saga, también jugan un papel que les ayuda a sus amigos. On the other hand, Crash and Eddie are the ones who support Ellie by keeping her safe from many dangers while they were getting a pack, and by supporting her in keeping Morita safe during the separation of the pack during the events of movie number 4. Likewise, they help Buck save Sid during his big adventure in Dinosaur World.
Por otro lado, Crash y Eddie son quienes apoyan a Ellie manteniéndola a salvo de muchos peligros mientras conseguían una manada, y al apoyarla a mantener a Morita a salvo durante la separación de la misma durante los sucesos de la película número 4. Asimismo, ayudan a Buck a salvar a Sid durante su gran aventura en el Mundo de los Dinosaurios.
Although at first their relationship with Diego and Sid can be detrimental to the herd, and even a little prank with Manny, almost causes them to lose their friendship, their pranks are usually more jokes than action. However, the jokes do not lose their comedy and allow us to laugh at their witticisms.
Aunque en un principio su relación con Diego y Sid puede ser perjudicial para la manada, e incluso una pequeña broma con Manny, casi hace que pierdan la amistad, sus bromas suelen ser más chistes que acción. In themselves, the jokes of these twins are harmless, and do not cause harmful damage to the herd. However, their jokes become less funny after Morita's birth, so we no longer see them as funny, since they lose the protagonism in front of the rest of the animals in the saga.

In spite of that, some of their phrases make us laugh and remind us that their jokes do not go out of fashion. Besides the references to other movies like Alvin and the Chipmunks, as they sing like them during a moment where they breathe "poisonous gas" during their adventure in the world of dinosaurs.
A pesar de ello, algunas de sus frases nos hacen gracia y nos recuerdan que sus chistes no pasan de moda. Además de las referencias a otras películas como Alvin y las Ardillas, ya que cantan como ellos durante un momento donde respiran “gas venenoso” durante su aventura en el mundo de los dinosaurios.
