The film tells us about everything it took to make the movie Mary Poppins. When P.L. Travers is contacted by Walt Disney she refuses to let her book be portrayed in an animated movie, so she decides to agree to make the movie, but she would be overseeing the process. Many times the company clashes with the ideas of this author, who wants her book to be portrayed as faithfully as possible.

La película nos cuenta de todo lo que se necesitó para hacer la película Mary Poppins. Cuando P.L. Travers es contactada por Walt Disney se rehúsa a dejar que su libro sea retratado en una película animada, por lo que decide aceptar hacer la película, pero ella estaría supervisando el proceso. Muchas veces la compañía choca con las ideas de esta autora, quien desea que su libro sea retratado lo más fiel posible.

A story that begins with a wish, a dream and a request. It is a story full of emotion, and you discover the real reason behind the author to stay true to her beliefs, as well as to prevent the main story from being changed.

Una historia que comienza con un deseo, con un sueño y una petición. Es una historia llena de emoción, y que descubres la verdadera razón detrás de la autora para mantenerse fiel a sus creencias, así como evitar que la historia principal sea cambiada.

The movie "Walt's Dream" or "Saving Mr. Banks" stars Emma Thompson as P.L. Travers, Tom Hans as Wlat Disney, and many other well-known stars: Colin Farrell, Ruth Wilson, B.J. Novack, Ruth Wilson, Paul Giamatti and Jason Schwartzman.

La película “El sueño de Walt” o “Salvando a Mr. Banks” tiene como protagonistas a Emma Thompson, en el papel de P.L. Travers; Tom Hans interpretando a Wlat Disney, y a muchas otras estrellas conocidas: Colin Farrell, Ruth Wilson, B.J. Novack, Ruth Wilson, Paul Giamatti y Jason Schwartzman.

An incredible cast that portrays the journey of this author and how she came to create this film. The creative process and reaching agreements that please everyone in the industry is what allows us to know more behind the magic, a film that if it weren't for the great performances of these actors could not have seen the light of day.

Un elenco increíble que nos retrata el camino de esta autora y de cómo llegar a crear esta película. El proceso creativo y el llegar a acuerdos que complazcan a todos dentro de la industria es lo que nos permite conocer más detrás de la magia, una película que de no ser por las grandes interpretaciones de estos actores no podría haber visto la luz.

One of the scenes I remember most, is when the songwriters present some ideas to Travers, the look of confusion on his face and then hearing the moment for which the song was going to be used was incredible. That change in the characters' faces and also the excitement I felt listening to some of the songs from the films again.

Una de las escenas que más recuerdo, es cuando los autores de las canciones le presentan algunas ideas a Travers, la cara de confusión y luego escuchar el momento para el que se iba a usar la canción fue increíble. Ese cambio en los rostros de los personajes y también la emoción que sentí al volver a escuchar algunas de las canciones de las películas.

It was a bit of an emotional shock to also see a bit of the author's story. Discovering where she comes from and at the same time the fears she has of her story being brought to the big screen, under the Walt Disney banner. It's a movie you can't miss if you want to discover more about the development of the film.

Fue un choque un poco emocional también ver un poco de la historia de la autora. Descubrir de dónde viene y al mismo tiempo los miedos que tiene de que su historia sea llevada a la gran pantalla, bajo el emblema de Walt Disney. Es una película que no te puedes perder si quieres descubrir más del desarrollo de la película.
