Hello my dear friends, it's a pleasure to be here again, it's been a while since I last shared with you but nevertheless I have not stopped going through your amazing reviews, although lately the internet is not helping me at home, this time I came to share one of the funniest and most original animated movies of its time.
Yes, we are talking about Shrek that although maybe not for everyone is the same opinion, in the people I have met, almost everyone liked this great movie from DreamWorks, a company that stands out for its great animated films.
This film tells the story of a somewhat unfriendly ogre, mixing many, many characters from our favorite children's stories, and who knew how to take advantage of the history of each and every one, to give us a story that simply catches us.
Hola mis queridos amigos, es un gusto volver a estar por aquí, hace un tiempo que no compartía con ustedes más sin embargo no he dejado de pasar por sus increíbles reseñas, aunque últimamente el internet no me está ayudando en casa, esta vez vine para compartir una de las películas animadas más divertidas y originales de su época.
Sí, hablamos de Shrek que aunque tal vez no para todos sea la misma opinión, en las personas que he conocido, a casi todos les gustó, esta genial película de DreamWorks, compañía que destaca por sus geniales películas de animación.
Es que esta película que cuenta la historia de un ogro un tanto antipático, mezcla a muchos, pero muchos personajes de nuestros cuentos infantiles favoritos, y que supo aprovechar la historia de todos y cada uno, para darnos una historia que simplemente nos atrapa.
And it is not the case that a movie with "collaboration" of characters from other stories has never been made, this has always been seen in cinema, as for example: The New Adventures of Little Red Riding Hood or Ralph the Demolitionist both real and animated, but as far as Shrek is concerned this fusion was made so detailed that it seemed like a natural story.
In the movie we could see conflicts of how a world very similar to ours, with oppression, exploitation and sometimes a group without freedom was marginalized by who had more power, which leads us to get attached to our favorite fairy tale characters more than others, but of course this without leaving aside the characteristics that make each of them special.
Each character is particularly faithful to their original story, giving us to understand that we are at a point in the story after the events that we normally heard in the stories; we see for example Peter Pan, Campanita, The Three Bears, Geppetto and The Three Little Pigs, among many others.
Y es que no es el caso que nunca se hubiera hecho una película con “colaboración” de personajes de otras historia, esto siempre se ha visto en cine, como por ejemplo: Las Nuevas Aventuras de Caperucita Roja o Ralph el Demoledor tanto real como animado, pero en cuanto a lo que Shrek respecta esta fusión se hizo tan detallada que parecía una historia natural.
En la película pudimos ver conflictos de como un mundo muy parecido al nuestro, con opresión, explotación y a veces un grupo sin libertad era marginado por quien tenía más poder, lo cual nos lleva a encariñarnos con nuestros personajes favoritos de cuentos más que con otros, pero claro esto sin dejar de lado las características que hacen especiales a cada uno de ellos.
Cada personaje resulta particularmente fiel a su cuento original, dándonos a entender que nos ubicamos en un punto de la historia luego de los sucesos que normalmente escuchábamos en los cuentos; vemos por ejemplo a Peter Pan, Campanita, Los Tres ositos, Geppetto y Los Tres Cerditos, entre muchos más.
Now although our classic fairy tale characters could clearly be the subject of protagonism, and seeing how their stories continue after some events would be fun, the reality is that our protagonist is one that we could always associate with the villain.
That's right, we have an ogre, but not one like Warcraft or League of Legends, it's an ogre in the best DreamWorks style, perhaps from the story of "Tom Thumb", but instead of following the legends of the ogre that eats children and is scary, this one will make us laugh until we cry in a journey where he will discover himself, and what he has always really wanted in life; thanks to the annoying, not appreciable, but timely meddling of a donkey.
Ahora aunque nuestros personajes de cuentos clásicos claramente podrían ser objeto de protagonismo, y ver cómo siguen sus historias luego de algunos sucesos sería divertido, la realidad es que nuestro protagonista es uno que siempre podríamos asociar con el villano.
Así es, tenemos a un ogro, pero no uno al estilo Warcraft o League of leyends, es un ogro al mejor estilo DreamWorks, tal vez procedente del cuento de “Pulgarcito”, pero que en vez de seguir las leyendas del ogro que come niños y da miedo, este nos hará reír hasta llorar en una viaje en donde se descubrirá a sí mismo, y lo que realmente siempre ha querido en la vida; gracias a la molesta, nada apreciable, pero oportuna intromisión de un burro.
Yes friends, and here is another not very well known fairy tale character, a donkey, this one perhaps also coming from Pinocchio's fairy tale, but not just any donkey: a talking donkey. For a few seconds he can also fly, fly?

This is one of the phrases of this movie, you will enjoy watching it more than once, because it never gets tired, but ask Will Smith, who in one of his movies.
"I Am Legend"
Si amigos y eh aquí otro personaje de cuento no muy conocido, un burro, este tal vez procedente tambien del cuento de pinocho, pero no cualquier burro: un burro que habla. Por algunos segundos también podrá volar, ¿Volar?
–JAJA Así es tonto, ahora soy un burro que habla y vuela, ¿han visto como su dinero vuela? ¿o Caperucita y la abuela?, pero a que nunca han visto como un burro vuela JAJA.–
Esta es una de las frases de esta película, disfrutarás mucho verla más de una vez, ya que nunca llega a cansar, sino pregunta a Will Smith, que en una de sus películas.
«Soy Leyenda»
In my particular, I learned too many dialogues that usually come to my mind in situations that seem to be given to use them, not always the most appropriate, but always the most fun; this is something that with my sisters we always did, mentioning phrases from movies that came to our minds while we were talking, it was something too natural that we did not control.
But this first (yes because later there were more) movie shows us how sometimes locking ourselves up deprives us of what we really want, we should always stop wasting time and get out of our "comfort zone", only then we will allow ourselves to find challenges and situations that will make us evolve to our own self.
These challenges will present themselves in a thousand ways, from the simplest to the most difficult, which will lead us to evaluate our decisions and see if we are really on the way to what we are looking for in life.
En mi particular, me aprendí demasiados diálogos que suelen venir a mi mente en situaciones que parecen darse para usarlos, no siempre las más adecuadas, pero siempre las más divertidas; esto es algo que con mis hermanas siempre hacíamos, mencionar frases de películas que nos vieran a la mente mientras conversábamos, era algo demasiado natural que no controlábamos.
Pero esta primera (si porque luego hubo más) película nos muestra como a veces encerrarnos nos priva de lo que realmente queremos, siempre debemos dejar de perder el tiempo y salir de nuestra “zona de confort”, solo así nos permitiremos encontrar retos y situaciones que nos harán evolucionar a nuestro propio yo.
Estos retos se presentarán de las mil maneras, desde uno muy sencillo hasta el más difícil, lo cual nos llevará a evaluar nuestras decisiones y ver si realmente estamos en camino a lo que buscamos en la vida.
Each character in this wonderful movie is offered once what they long for, their dreams are handed to them on a silver platter and yet, they realize that what they dreamed of was not what they really wanted, so they turn the page and leaving the past behind, they decide to start from scratch to write their own future.
In the end we could get to see how each one took a different course to what is their classic ending and in which now we do not know how they could become happy forever, as our story is now open to millions of possibilities.
This is a movie from 21 years ago, I realize while reviewing it that too much time has passed and yet it is still a great production, honestly it is a very good movie that I still recommend without doubts, and you tell me: How many times did you see it? What is your favorite part? Have you seen it again lately?
A cada personaje en esta maravillosa película, se le ofrece una vez lo que tanto anhelo, sus sueños les son entregados en bandeja de plata y sin embargo, se dan cuenta de que aquello que tanto soñaron no era lo que realmente querían, por lo que dan un giro a su historia, pasan de página y dejando atrás el pasado deciden empezar de 0 a escribir su propio futuro.
Al final podríamos llegar a ver cómo cada uno tomo un rumbo diferente a lo que es su final clásico y en el cual ahora no sabemos cómo podría llegar a ser felices para siempre, ya que nuestra historia ahora queda abierta a millones de posibilidades.
Esta es una película de hace 21 años, que caigo en cuanta mientras se les reseñó que ha pasado demasiado tiempo y sin embargo sigue siendo una producción genial, sinceramente es una muy buena película que sigo recomendando sin dudas, y tú cuéntame: ¿Cuántas veces la viste? ¿Cuál es tu parte favorita? ¿La has vuelto a ver últimamente?
