Hello to all the community of The Anime Realm, I hope you feel great, today as it has been part of several of my posts I will talk about a great anime but not completely adapted to his original work, and as many know when the manga is still on air and decides to make an adaptation to the anime this can have three possible outcomes, that is animated by seasons to allow the manga to advance (as in Boku no Hero Academia or Shingeki no Kyojin), that to let the manga advance are made filler sagas (like Naruto or Bleach) or to give an original ending to the work (like Shaman King or the first adaptation of Full Metal Alchemist), the anime I will talk about today comes into this last option and is that Soul Eater is a great work but with a final too fast for his anime.

Soul Eater is a manga made and drawn by Atsushi Ohkubo, being published in the Shōnen Gangan from 2003 to 2013, this manga has 25 volumes plus a spin off called Soul Eater: Not being made also by Atsushi Ohkubo (this spin off also has an anime adaptation in case you are interested in taking a look), the anime adaptation of Soul Eater was made by BONES studio (we all know the amount of excellent anime this studio has brought us) in 2008 and had 51 episodes ending its broadcast in 2009, This anime has two great openings and four endings (being my favorite opening Tommy heavenly6's Black Paper Moon and his fourth ending called Abingdon Boys School's Strength being one of my favorite endings of all time).

This anime presents us two main characters, Maka a student of the shibusen (or academy for technicians and weapons of Shinigami) and his weapon (which has the form of a scythe when it transforms) called Soul, in addition to these two characters we will have two more teams, consisting of Black Star (a young member of a clan of ninjas which always has the need to draw attention) and his weapon Subaki Nakatsukasa (which can be transformed into different ninja weapons from a shuriken, smoke bombs and a ninjato) and Death the Kid (Shinigami-sama's son) and his companions the sisters Patty and Liz Thompson (which are transformed into revolvers), in order for the technicians and the weapons to achieve their Death Scythe title they will have to hunt and consume 99 corrupted souls or also called kishins and the soul of 1 witch (which is the most difficult task of all), so we will see how our protagonists try to achieve this difficult task and thus finally obtain the Death Scythe title.

This anime really had a very close beginning to the original work, keeping it until chapter 38, but because the manga was still in publication and even far from its completion, the study decided to give a much more rushed and original end to the work, so from this point on we can consider that it is not a canon, the manga's story on the other hand managed to have a much better development and a much better end achieved because they managed to develop all the subplots and characters of the story (which unfortunately the anime did not achieve).

Despite not giving us the original ending of the manga, you can not get to consider that Soul Eater's anime is bad, quite the opposite really is very good in addition to having an incredible animation (with a quite original style) and a great soundtrack, The criticism that is always made is that the end of this was very hasty and left some important questions in addition to changing some aspects of the characters, I recommend really see this anime because I liked it very much and if you can catch give a chance to his great manga, believe me you will not regret, I hope that if you have seen it leave me your opinion in the comments, we will see another time.

Hola a toda la comunidad de The Anime Realm, espero que se encuentren genial, hoy como ya ha venido siendo parte de varios de mis posts les hablare de un genial anime pero que no adapto de manera completa a su obra original, y es que como ya muchos sabemos cuando el manga aun se encuentra en emisión y se decide hacer una adaptación al anime este puede tener tres posibles desenlaces, que sea animada por temporadas para permitir al manga avanzar (caso de Boku no Hero Academia o Shingeki no Kyojin), que para dejar avanzar el manga se realicen sagas de relleno (como Naruto o Bleach) o que se le de un final original a la obra (como Shaman King o la primera adaptación de Full Metal Alchemist), el anime de que hablare hoy entra en esta última opción y es que Soul Eater es una genial obra pero con un final demasiado apresurado para su anime.

Soul Eater es un manga hecho y dibujado por Atsushi Ohkubo, siendo publicado en la Shōnen Gangan desde el 2003 hasta el 2013, este manga cuenta con 25 volúmenes además de un spin off llamado Soul Eater: Not siendo hecha también por Atsushi Ohkubo (este spin off también cuenta con una adaptación al anime por si les llega a interesar darle un vistazo), la adaptación al anime de Soul Eater fue hecha por el estudio BONES (todos sabemos la cantidad de animes excelentes que nos ha traído este estudio) en el 2008 y conto con 51 episodios finalizando su emisión en el 2009, este anime conto con dos geniales openings y cuatro endings (siendo mi opening favorito Black Paper Moon de Tommy heavenly6 y su cuarto ending llamado Strength de Abingdon Boys School siendo uno de mis endings favoritos de todos los tiempos).

Este anime nos presenta dos protagonistas, Maka una estudiante del shibusen (o academia para técnicos y armas de Shinigami) y su arma (la cual tiene la forma de una guadaña cuando se transforma) llamado Soul, además de estos dos personajes tendremos a dos equipos más, conformados por Black Star (un joven miembro de un clan de ninjas el cual tiene siempre la necesidad de llamar la atención) y su arma Subaki Nakatsukasa (la cual puede transformarse en diferentes armas ninjas desde un shuriken, bombas de humo y una ninjato) y Death the Kid (hijo de Shinigami-sama) y sus compañeras las hermanas Patty y Liz Thompson (las cuales se transforman en revólveres), para que los técnicos y las armas puedan lograr su título de Death Scythe deberán cazar y consumir 99 almas corrompidas o también llamadas kishins y el alma de 1 bruja (lo cual es la tarea más difícil de todas), así que veremos como nuestros protagonistas tratan de lograr esta difícil tarea y así por fin obtener el título de Death Scythe.

Este anime conto realmente con un inicio bastante apegado a la obra original manteniendo esta hasta el capítulo 38, pero debido a que el manga aun se encontraba en publicación y aun lejos de su culminación el estudio decidido darle un final mucho mas apresurado y original a la obra, por tanto a partir de este punto se puede considerar que no canon, la historia del manga por otra parte logro tener un mucho mejor desarrollo y un final mucho mejor logrado gracias a que se lograron desarrollar todas las subtramas y personajes de la historia (cosa que lamentablemente el anime no logro).

A pesar de no darnos el final original del manga, no se puede llegar a considerar que el anime de Soul Eater es malo, todo lo contrario realmente es muy bueno además de poseer una animación increíble (con un estilo bastante original) y un soundtrack genial, la critica que siempre se le realiza es que el final de este fue muy apresurado y dejo algunas incógnitas importantes además de cambiar algunos aspectos de los personajes, recomiendo realmente ver este anime ya que me gusto mucho y si los logra atrapar denle una oportunidad a su genial manga, créanme no se arrepentirán, espero que si lo han visto me dejen su opinión en los comentarios, nos veremos en otra oportunidad.
