Hello to all the community of The Anime Realm, I hope you are great, today I bring as it has become my custom an anime that is not for all audiences and due to its amount of gore and violence quite marked is an anime that not everyone would tolerate, but for those who have a good stomach for this kind of things, let me tell you that this anime going from its history, character development, its soundtrack and its opening and ending are a work of art and is that Vinland Saga.
This anime is the adaptation of the manga Seinen by Makoto Yukimura; this manga first began its publication in the Shūkan Shōnen Magazine but then became part of the manga published in the Afternoon (monthly magazine) has already 23 volumes and is still in broadcast. Its anime was made by Wit Studio in 2019 and counted in its first season with 24 episodes and had two great openings made by Survive Said The Prophet and Man with a Mission (this being my favorite of the anime and one of the best and most successful openings I've heard, Dark Crow is something you should listen to) and its endings were made by Aimer and Milet. The second season of this great anime is expected for this year, although there is no release date yet.
This work puts us as the protagonist Thorfinn, a boy who lived quietly with his family in a village on a small island, his father being a former Viking warrior who escaped from the battlefield giving himself for dead because he had tired of the meaningless battles (this being a mortal sin for the Vikings). One unfortunate day due to a slave that Thors (Thorfinn's father) decides to save and take care of, the owners of this slave go to demand that he be returned to them and to see Thors alive they inform the king and Thors is demanded to return to the battle; to his misfortune the king's general commissions a mercenary named Askeladd to assassinate him spoiler alert after a battle in which Thors demonstrates that he no longer feels the need to kill anyone and due to a very dirty move by Askeladd, Thors is killed and his son Thorfinn decides to stay with Askeladd's group in order to take revenge on Askeladd. We will see throughout the story how Thorfinn loses his innocence and starts to become more and more brutal to finally get revenge for his father.
Something that I think is great about this anime is the deep development of the characters, from Thorfinn's growth to the actions that led Thors to leave his life as a warrior and the background and history of characters like Askeladd (which I think I never stopped hating hahaha) plus the animation of the scenarios (which look simply beautiful), the battles (which are epic at every moment) and even the graphics (because seriously it has incredible amounts of gore and raw moments) make this Seinen a work of art in every possible aspect.
As I said before this anime is not for all audiences but it will be something that Seinen fans will enjoy in an epic way because it is seriously a work of art in every possible aspect so I hope you give a chance to an anime that personally is one of my favorite Seinen, if you have already seen it please leave me your opinion in the comments and I will see you another time.

Hola a toda la comunidad de The Anime Realm, espero se encuentren genial, hoy traigo como ya se me ha hecho costumbre un anime que no es para todo publico y es que debido a su cantidad de gore y violencia bastante marcada es un anime que no todos tolerarían, pero para aquellos que tienen un buen estomago para este tipo de cosas, déjenme decirles que este anime pasando desde su historia, el desarrollo de personajes, su soundtrack y sus opening y ending son una obra de arte y es que Vinland Saga.
Este anime es la adaptación del manga Seinen de Makoto Yukimura; este manga primero empezó su publicación en la revista Shūkan Shōnen Magazine pero luego paso a ser parte de los mangas publicados en la Afternoon (revista de publicación mensual) posee ya 23 volúmenes y se encuentra aun en emisión. Su anime fue hecho por Wit Studio en el 2019 y contó en su primera temporada con 24 episodios y contó con dos openings geniales hechos por Survive Said The Prophet y por Man with a Mision (siendo este mi favorito de el anime y uno de los mejores y mas acertados openings que he escuchado, Dark Crow es algo que deben escuchar) y sus ending fueron hechos por Aimer y Milet. Se espera para este año la segunda temporada de este genial anime aunque aun no se tiene fecha de publicación.
Esta obra nos pone como protagonista a Thorfinn, un niño que vivia tranquilamente con su familia en una aldea en una pequeña isla, siendo su padre un antiguo guerrero vikingo que escapo del campo de batalla dándose por muerto debido a que se había cansado de las batallas sin sentido (siendo esto un pecado mortal para los vikingos). Un lamentable día debido a un esclavo que Thors (el padre de Thorfinn) decide salvar y cuidar, los dueños de este esclavo van a exigir que se les devuelva y a ver a Thors con vida lo informan al rey y se le exige a Thors volver a la batalla; para desgracia de este el general del rey encomienda a un mercenario llamado Askeladd que lo asesine alerta de spoiler luego de una batalla en la que Thors demuestra que ya no siente la necesidad de matar a nadie y debido a una jugada muy sucia de parte de Askeladd, Thors es asesinado y su hijo Thorfinn decide quedarse con el grupo de Askeladd para poder vengarse de este. Veremos a lo largo de la historia como Thorfinn pierde su inocencia y se empieza a volver cada vez mas brutal para por fin lograr la venganza por su padre.
Algo que me parece genial de este anime es el desarrollo tan profundo que tienen los personajes, desde el crecimiento de Thorfinn hasta las acciones que llevaron a Thors a dejar su vida como guerrero y el trasfondo e historia de personajes como Askeladd (al cual creo que nunca deje de odiar jajaja) ademas la animación de los escenarios (los cuales se ven sencillamente hermosos), de las batallas (las cuales en cada momento son épicas ) e inclusive lo gráfico que llega a ser (porque en serio llega a tener cantidades increíbles de gore y momentos crudos) hacen de este Seinen una obra de arte en todos los aspectos posibles.
Como les dije anteriormente este anime no es para todo publico pero sera algo que los fanáticos del Seinen disfrutaran de manera épica ya que en serio es una obra de arte en todos los aspectos posibles así que espero que le den una oportunidad a un anime que personalmente es uno de mis Seinen favorito, si ya lo vieron por favor déjenme su opinión en los comentarios y nos veremos en otra oportunidad.
