Quiero volver a ver esta serie y lo haré, no hay nada que me lo impida, sé que la disfrutaré de nuevo como si fuera la primera vez. Yo lo he dicho muchas veces, odio las comedias románticas, las detesto con toda mi alma, y si son navideñas más aún, pero hay una clausula, y esto existe por siempre en mí, odio muchas cosas, pero si son gays, las amo, y es mi caso con esta serie, es una comedia romántica navida, pero gay, y si bien tenía muchas reservas al momento de verla, una persona en específico que sabe de mi odio a las comedias románticas me dijo que la viera porque la amaría con locura, confié, y así fue, así es, la amo con locura, tanto así como para volver a verla porque es una cosita hermosa que merece ser vista muchas veces, tantas veces haga falta como para que hagan una segunda temporada, y así sucesivamente hasta tener una serie de veinte temporadas y una vida feliz viéndola.
Smiley es una comedia romántica, así que no esperen una trama compleja, Alex un día le deja un mensaje en el buzón de voz a su ex, que no era su ex, pero sí era alguien más que un conocido con quien tenía sexo casual, y bueno, Alex se enamoró, el otro le hizo ghosting, y Alex lo estaba insultando por eso, pero hubo un grande error, Alex se equivocó de número y terminó llamando a alguien random, que por suerte o por cosa del destino fue Bruno, quien se disfrutó ese chisme como no tienen idea, yo igual, sufrí junto a Alex mientras soltaba su alma en el inicio del primer capítulo, en fin, Bruno en un momento de debilidad decide llamar a Alex para decirle que se equivocó de número de teléfono, y se quedan hablando un buen rato como si no fueran dos completos extraños, hasta que deciden verse, Alex lo invita al bar donde trabaja, y el resto es historia, vean la serie.

Another of my favorite things that are linked to this is that as they not only speak Spanish but also speak Catalan, Albert keeps explaining how inclusive language works in Catalan too, I laughed too much, and I loved it.
Smiley está plagada de clichés, y sí está bien quejarse de eso, pero ya, es una comedia romántica, no esperes una tragicomedia griega, por favor, se consciente de lo que estás viendo y no confundas las cosas, que por esperar cosas así es que se frustran demasiado la vida y no disfrutan de las cosas simples de la vida, como los clichés, por ejemplo. No es que la serie sea vacía, con personajes completamente planos y que no agreguen nada a la historia, al contrario, ese es uno de ss mejores cosas, cada personaje es un mundo diferente, y todos tratan de coexistir sin causarse daño alguno, pero no, son personas, y entre las muchas cosas que nos caracterizan, está esa, una por la que se daría todo para que no existiera, y es hacerle daño a quienes queremos, se van a hacer mucho daño, lo veremos, lo sufriremos, y no podremos hacer nada más que aceptarlo.
Insisto, necesito unas veinte temporadas de esta serie, que el mundo se pregunte cuándo va a terminar y que no haya indicios de que su fin esté cerca, necesito ver crecer a les hijes de Albert y Núria, y amé eso como no tienen idea, una pareja heterosexual común, educando a sus hijes con el lenguaje inclusivo, deseando que crezcan sin ninguna preconcepción impostiva sobre cómo deberían ser, comportarse, o lo que debería gustarles dependiendo de su género, y Albert, el padre, es quién más énfasis hace en eso, y yo lo amé, ojalá fuera así en todos lados, hubieran muchas más personas seguras de sí mismas y que no estarían metiéndose en los asuntos del resto del mundo. Otra de mis cosas favoritas que va ligado a esto es que como no solo hablan español, si no que también hablan Catalán, Albert se la pasa explicando cómo funciona el lenguaje inclusivo en Catalán también, yo me reía demasiado, lo amé.
Alex 2 Gyms and Bruno Pedante are going to be the protagonists of this romantic comedy, and I call them that way because that's the way they both kept each other on their phones, I enjoyed it so much I don't see them any other way anymore. Bruno and Alex are going to give us the typical love-hate relationship between two people although they like each other, they hate each other at the same time, and because of that pride of not wanting to accept that their interests in each other go beyond sex, things get more complicated than they would like, and they spend the whole series in a tug of war that becomes unbearable, but as we have great secondary characters, time flies and when we least expect it, we get to the end of the season and we are left wanting to see more.
Honestly, it is easier to make a connection with the secondary characters than with the main ones, we will have Javier, who has a Drag Queen show in the bar, called Bar Bero, and I would tell you the story behind the name, but no, watch the series, anyway, in that Drag Queen show Javier becomes Keena Mandrah, who has become my favorite character, Keena Mandrah is everything right in this world, I loved him like you have no idea. Keena Mandrah sometimes plays the narrator and we will see many scenes where only his voice is heard while we see the characters existing, it's beautiful, and I will watch the series again.
We have Albert and Núria, I already mentioned them, our common heterosexual couple who set an example with a good way for them to grow up without the limitations that this world puts on us by pigeonholing us in one gender or another. Alex 2 Gimnasios y Bruno Pedante van a ser los protagonistas de esta comedia romántica, y los llamo así porque es la forma en que ambos se guardaron en sus teléfonos, lo disfruté tanto ya no los veo de otra forma. Acabo de recordar que en algún momento hacen la broma de que no se habla de Bruno, por la canción de Encanto, y fue tan horrible, no los soporté, igual me reí, pero sufrí con ese chiste. Bruno y Alex nos van a dar la típica relación de amor-odio entre dos personas que si bien se gustan, se detestan a la vez, y por ese orgullo de no querer aceptar de que sus intereses en el otro van más allá del sexo, se les complican las cosas más de lo que quisieran, y pasan toda la serie en un tira y encoje que llega a ser insoportable, pero como tenemos a grandes personajes secundarios, el tiempo se nos va volando y cuando menos lo esperamos lleganos al final de temporada y quedamos con ganas de ver más.
Sinceramente, es más fácil hacer conección con los personajes secundarios que con los principales, tendremos a Javier, quien tiene un show de Drag Queen en el bar, que se llama Bar Bero, y les contaría la historia detrás del nombre, pero no, vean la serie, en fin, en ese show de Drag Queen Javier se convierte en Keena Mandrah, quien se ha convertido en mi personaje favorito, Keena Mandrah es todo lo que está bien en este mundo, le amé como no tienen idea. Keena Mandrah a veces hace de narrador y veremos muchas escenas donde solo se escucha su voz mientras vemos a los personajes existiendo, es hermoso, ya volveré a ver la serie.
Tenemos a Albert y Núria, ya se los mencioné, nuestra pareja heterosexal común que dan el ejemplo con una buena forma de que crezcan sin las limitantes que este mundo nos pone al encasillarnos en un género o en otro. También tendremos a Vero y Patricia, nuestra pareja de lesbianas favorita, las amo, y neccesito ver más de ella, no hablaré mucho de ellas, pero van a sufrir, van a sufrir demasiado, es horrible. Pinche serie hermosa, gracias por haberla creado, Netflix.
