Just as there are people who watch everything related to zombies, action movies, or series of ghosts and exorcisms, it should be noted that I promised myself to stop watching things related to exorcisms because they are all bad, I am one of those people that anything that has to do with vampires catches my attention and I have to see it, that's why I love Castlevania too much and I have seen it twice, and that is also why I saw this movie without knowing absolutely nothing, only that it was about vampires, or that it had vampires. I don't regret doing so, it's a vampire masterpiece that doesn't need much to understand, but is lived and felt in every drop of blood we possess, almost forcing us to love it.
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust is nothing more than a movie where a vampire kidnaps a woman and the family pays a bounty hunter to rescue her. That's the whole movie, and if I could tell you more about everything that happens in all that rescue attempt you would end up wanting to go see the movie urgently because it is not what you would expect, it is a movie that has certain clichés, although possibly in its time they were not clichés, I don't know, it's from 2000, I was barely 2 years old at that time.
Así como hay gente que ve todo lo que esté relacionado a los zombies, las películas de acción o series de fantasmas y exorcismos, cabe destacar que yo me prometí dejar de ver cosas relacionadas a exorcismos porque todas son malas, yo soy de esas personas que cualquier cosa que tenga que ver con vampiros me llama la atención y tengo que verla, por eso amo demasiado Castlevania y la he visto dos veces, y es por eso también que vi esta película sin saber absolutamente nada, solo que era sobre vampiros, o que tenía vampiros. No me arrepiento de haberlo hecho, es una obra maestra sombre vampiros que no necesita de mucho para entenderse, pero se vive y se siente en cada gota de sangre que poseemos, casi obligándonos a que la amemos.
Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust no es más que una película donde un vampiro secuestra a una mujer y la familia le paga a un bounty hunter para que la rescate. Esa es toda la película, y si pudiera decirles más sobre todo lo que sucede en todo ese intento de rescate terminarían queriendo ir a ver la película con urgencia pues no es lo que se esperaria, es una película que si bien tiene ciertos clichés, aunque posiblemente en su tiempo no eran clichés, no sé, es del 2000, yo apenas tenía 2 años en ese tiempo.
One of my favorite things is the representation they have of vampires in this series, always as if they were part of the aristocracy, the upper class of society, all tall, stuffy, with an exquisite vocabulary that you can only pretend to understand because even if you speak the same language you don't understand anything of what they say, that kind of classic vampires that are capable of doing all kinds of things, like turning into bats to escape from all kinds of situations, like any interaction that involves empty and useless conversations with nothing productive to give.
As I told you, the story is nothing out of this world, it's simple, but it's the way those simple things are being delivered to us that makes them very special, more than once I found myself teary-eyed when two parts of a story that seemed to have no connection at all end up fitting together and you understand why the actions of the people involved in the act. I mean, many details can be overlooked, but there will come a time when we will be reminded of those little details and the meaning will be wonderful.
Una de mis cosas favortias es la representación que tienen de los vampiros en esta serie, siempre como si fueran parte de la aristocracia, de la clase alta de la sociedad, todos altos, estirados, con un vocabulario exquisito que solo se puede pretener entender pues aunque se hable el mismo idioma no se entiende nada de lo que dicen, de ese tipo de vampiros clásicos que son capaces de hacer todo tipo de cosas, como convertirse en murciélagos para escapar de todo tipo de situaciones, como cualquier tipo de interacción que implique conversaciones vacías e inútiles sin nada productivo que dar.
Como les dije, la historia no es nada del otro mundo, es algo simple, pero es la forma en que esas cosas simples están siendo entregadas a nosotros que las hacen muy especiales, más de una vez me encontré con los ojos lagrimeando cuando dos partes de una historia que parecía no tener conección alguna termina encajando y se entiende el por qué de las acciones de las personas implicadas en el acto. Es decir, hay muchos detalles que pueden pasarse por alto, pero llegará un momendo donde nos van a recordar esos pequeños detalles y el significado será maravilloso.

Their existence can be lonely, empty, isolated, without any contact with the world greater than the minimum, but in reality, it is plagued by small moments that no matter how much time passes, or rather, that the more time passes, the more importance and light they come to have because their importance grows and become more significant than they already were, or get their great significance only with time, it is somewhat confusing, but it is worth watching the movie and discover those moments that are beautiful with time.
Nuestro protagonista va a ser un poco insoportable, pero igual lo llegaremos a querer, nuestro protagonista será nuestro cazador de recompensas contratado para rescatar a la mujer secuestrada, y nuestro protagonista esconde un secreto, es mitad vampiro y mitad humano, por siempre marginado en este mundo que transcurre muy lento para toda la vida que tiene por delante. Los humanos lo aborrecen al ser mitad vampiro, pero de igual forma lo usan para que cace a la otra mitad de su especie sin que nada importe, y por esa misma razón es que los vampiros lo marginan, y el resto de las criaturas de la noche, pues no solo existen los vampiros en este mundo.
Su existencia puede ser solitaria, vacía, aislada, sin ningún contacto con el mundo mayor al mínimo, pero en realidad está plagado de pequeños momentos que sin importar cuánto tiempo pase, o mejor dicho, que mientras más tiempo pase, más importancia y luz llegan a tener pues su importancie crece y se hacen más significativos de lo que ya eran, o obtienen su gran significado solo con el paso del tiempo, es algo confuso, pero vale la pena ver la película y descubrir esos momentos que son hermosos con el paso del tiempo.
The ending of this movie is an exquisite thing that blew my mind when I saw it the first time, and the second time too. I could not believe what I was seeing, the plot twist is something incredible and unexpected, not the gum, but the other one, one that includes technology that should not have existed at that time, but as they were vampires everything was possible and none of that could hide from their hands, time was their best friend and nothing was impossible for them.

El final de esta película es una cosa exquisita que me voló la cabeza cuando lo vi la primera vez, y la segunda también. No podía creer lo que estaba viendo, el giro en la trama es algo increíble e inesperado, el chiclé no, si no el otro, uno que incluye tecnología que no debería haber existido en esa época, pero como eran vampiros todo era posible y nada de eso podía esconderse de sus manos, el tiempo era su mejor amigo y nada era imposible para ellos.
Aquí les dejo el trailer, una cosa exquisita, que muestra poco a poco todo lo que veremos, dejándonos con ganas de ver más, así que cumple su cometido, dándonos información importante al final que solo motiva nuestra curiosidad, pues no es algo que se haya visto antes de esta forma, o mejor dicho, es el principio de lo que luego se vio cada vez más.
