Tenía tiempo buscando ver esta película puesto que soy un gran fanático de la franquicia y no lo había logrado hasta ayer cuando finalmente me puse al día con la que es la última historia de James Bond interpretada por Daniel Craig después de 15 años haciendo del agente 007. Ya sabiendo que en la próxima película, si es que la hay, no estará Craig podríamos empezar a jugar en decir cual ha sido el mejor "Bond" hasta ahora, decisión que para mi es algo complicada.
I had been looking forward to see this movie for a long time since I am a big fan of the franchise and I hadn't made it until yesterday when I finally caught up with what is the last James Bond story played by Daniel Craig after 15 years playing agent 007. Already knowing that in the next film, if there is one, Craig will not be there, we could start to play on which has been the best "Bond" so far, a decision that for me is somewhat complicated.
Volviendo a lo que nos compete mis expectativas con este filme eran muy altas ya que al ser el cierre de Craig con el personaje asumí que sería por todo lo alto y con un villano que valiera la pena, por todo lo alto fue pero el villano fue alguien que valió la pena? - no lo se... Es posible que haya terminado un poco inconforme con la película y no me gusta porque fueron 6 años esperándola además de que la pandemia la retrasó pero estas cosas pasan, no siempre se logra una buena historia. Veamos entonces que tal es la ultima aventura de Craig como James Bond.
Back to what concerns us my expectations with this film were very high since it was Craig's closing with the character I assumed it would be in style and with a villain that was worth it, in style it was but the villain was someone who was worth it? - I don't know... It is possible that I ended up a little dissatisfied with the movie and I don't like it because it was 6 years waiting for it plus the pandemic delayed it but these things happen, you don't always get a good story. Let's see then how is Craig's last adventure as James Bond.
Básicamente tenemos a James, retirado de sus deberes como agente 007, viviendo tranquilo en Jamaica y alejado de todo cuando de repente una nueva amenaza surge con la intención de aniquilar a todo el mundo. Es el viejo amigo de Bond, Felix Leiter, agente de la CIA quien se pone en contacto con el ex 007 para buscar la manera de erradicar a este villano quien es poseedor de un arma un poco particular.
Basically we have James, retired from his duties as agent 007, living quietly in Jamaica and away from everything when suddenly a new threat arises with the intention of annihilating everyone. It is Bond's old friend, Felix Leiter, a CIA agent who contacts the former 007 to find a way to eradicate this villain who is in possession of a particular weapon.
La cuestión es que muchas de las cosas que comienzan a suceder están atadas al pasado de James por lo que es muy complicado para él no involucrarse en ellas lo que eventualmente deriva en que volvemos a verle poniéndose su traje y subiéndose a su Aston Martin para dar inicio a la caza de este villano poco común.
The point is that many of the things that begin to happen are tied to James' past so it is very complicated for him not to get involved in them which eventually results in us seeing him again putting on his suit and getting into his Aston Martin to start the hunt for this unusual villain.
Lo primero que hay que decir es que la película tiene todo lo que se espera de una historia del agente más importante del mundo, hay buenas escenas y secuencias de acción, están los momentos que no te los esperas y te dejan boquiabierto y existe una carga sentimental y llena de drama porque en esta película por ejemplo y al ser un cierre traen de vuelta elementos de cintas anteriores lo que hace que la trama tenga tan solo un poco más de profundidad.
The first thing to say is that the film has everything you expect from a story of the most important agent in the world, there are good scenes and action sequences, there are moments that you do not expect and leave you speechless and there is a sentimental charge and full of drama because in this film for example and being a closure they bring back elements of previous tapes which makes the plot has just a little more depth.
El elenco es casi el mismo que conformó el film pasado con dos nuevos elementos, Ana De Armas quien funge como una especia de ayudante de Leiter y a Lashana Lynch quien interpreta a la nueva 007 tras la ausencia momentánea de James. De la primera no podemos hablar mucho más allá de un par de escenas de acción que estuvieron bastante bien y de la segunda en lo personal creo que fue un personaje sin ningún tipo de peso ya que más que todo estuvo enfocado en buscar dar inicio a la transición que se viene del 007.
The cast is almost the same that made up the last film with two new elements, Ana De Armas who serves as a sort of assistant to Leiter and Lashana Lynch who plays the new 007 after the momentary absence of James. Of the first one we can't talk much beyond a couple of action scenes that were pretty good and of the second one I personally think it was a character without any kind of weight as it was mostly focused on seeking to start the transition that is coming from 007.
Daniel Craig ya no es el actor de hace 15 años pero hay que darle mucho merito porque con sus pasados 50 años mostró una condición impecable en las escenas que lo requerían además de que es sabido que estuvo preparándose para ello por un poco más de un año.
Daniel Craig is no longer the actor he was 15 years ago but you have to give him a lot of credit because with his past 50 years he showed an impeccable condition in the scenes that required it and it is known that he was preparing for it for a little over a year.
De otro personaje del que tenemos que hablar es de Lyutsifer Safin (Rami Malek) quien encarna al villano de esta película. Estamos ante un antagonista totalmente diferente a lo que estamos acostumbrados a ver ya que su "terror" o "maldad" viene desde un lado psicológico y eso sin duda es un cambio significativo en estas sagas ya que por lo general siempre vemos enemigos usando la fuerza bruta como medio de intimidación.
Another character we have to talk about is Lyutsifer Safin (Rami Malek) who plays the villain of this film. We are facing an antagonist totally different from what we are used to seeing since his "terror" or "evil" comes from a psychological side and that is certainly a significant change in these sagas since we usually always see enemies using brute force as a means of intimidation.
La verdad es que a mi no me convenció y miren que Malek me gusta mucho como actor pero acá nunca me atrapó, nunca vi que él fuera una amenaza real y ahí es donde me di cuenta de que este villano no iba a ser lo mejor para este cierre de Daniel Craig. Puedo llegar a pensar que fue hasta injusto con Craig no tener a un villano que a nivel de historia le diera más guerra y confrontación de la q le dio Safin.
The truth is that I was not convinced and I like Malek a lot as an actor but here he never caught me, I never saw that he was a real threat and that's where I realized that this villain was not going to be the best for this closing of Daniel Craig. I can even think that it was unfair to Craig not to have a villain that could give him more war and confrontation than Safin did.
Para ir cerrando, esta es una película que comenzó con mucha acción y un "plot twist" interesante pero que a medida que fue avanzando fue perdiendo esa fuerza inicial y es que hubo muchos bajones de intensidad. Los pocos efectos especiales grandes que hubo estuvieron buenos y más si tomamos en cuenta que esto se grabó en plena pandemia lo que dio cierta sensación de normalidad en las escenas.
In closing, this is a movie that started with a lot of action and an interesting plot twist, but as it progressed it lost its initial strength and there were many drops in intensity. The few big special effects were good and even more if we take into account that this was filmed in the middle of the pandemic which gave a certain sense of normality in the scenes.
El final fue de las pocas cosas que si me gustó, creo que fue hasta un poco poético y lleno de paz considerando el personaje que era y por lo menos no me voy inconforme con eso, que pudo ser mejor? - sin duda, pero es lo que hay. En términos generales no me gustó mucho la película, se deja ver y para pasar el tiempo está perfecta pero esperaba mucho más, no por parte de Craig sino a nivel de historia que por momentos me pareció un poco floja y con el villano que si bien es verdad es alguien psicológicamente diferente lo vi pequeño para los estándares de una película de James Bond.
The ending was one of the few things I did like, I think it was even a bit poetic and full of peace considering the character he was and at least I don't leave unsatisfied with it, what could have been better? - No doubt, but it is what it is. In general terms I didn't like the movie, it's watchable and perfect to pass the time but I expected much more, not from Craig but at the level of story that at times seemed a little weak and with the villain that although it is true is someone psychologically different I saw him small for the standards of a James Bond movie.
Dura aproximadamente 2 horas y 45 minutos y aprovecho y cierro con darle una puntuación de 6.5/10, repito pudo estar mucho mejor. Acá les dejo el tráiler como siempre para aquellos que no la hayan visto todavía.

Me gustó la peli y a pesar de que también pienso que pudo haber sido mejor en algunas ocasiones, la encontré bastante disfrutable y con un final apropiado para este agente. La transición hacia el nuevo 007 no me convence del todo así que ya veremos como le va a esta franquicia en el futuro.
En lo que pueda la veo, es parte de una tradición. Para mí el mejor Bond es Sean Connery. Quizá sea un asunto sentimental, es el 007 de mi juventud. Excelente reseña, estimado @javyeslava.photo. Que estés bien.
