Cuando Reacher se estrenó hace como 3 años lo hizo como una serie que podía ser considerada una más del montón, de hecho la vi teniendo eso en mente; afortunadamente no fue tan así. Resultó ser una historia en donde un tipo de dimensiones gigantescas en su posición de ex policía militar buscaba resolver casos de cualquier tipo por sus propias manos. La premisa es que los problemas lo persiguen, llegan solos a donde quiera que él esté o por lo menos así había sido hasta esta tercera temporada. Para los que no han visto esta serie estamos ante una trama llena de acción pura y dura, conspiraciones, investigaciones policiales pero sobretodo hacer justicia a través de la venganza.

When Reacher premiered about 3 years ago it was released as a series that could be considered just another run of the mill, in fact I watched it with that in mind; fortunately it wasn't quite like that. It turned out to be a story where a guy of gigantic dimensions in his position as a former military policeman sought to solve cases of any kind by his own hands. The premise is that trouble follows him, it comes on its own wherever he is, or at least that's how it had been until this third season. For those who have not seen this series we are facing a plot full of pure and hard action, conspiracies, police investigations but above all to do justice through revenge.

En esta tercera entrega tenemos a Reacher (Alan Ritchson) trabajando de la mano con la DEA con la finalidad de rescatar a una informante que fue capturada por una red de criminales. Esta red se encarga del tráfico de armas por lo que la única manera de acercarse lo suficiente será infiltrándose en ella. Esta situación se une a asuntos pendientes del pasado de Reacher ya que él va detrás de alguien y es posible que esta organización tenga algo que ver y lo ayude a su caza personal, una especie de Vendetta. Basicamente estaría matando dos pájaros de un solo tiro. Pero como siempre pasa en las temporadas de Reacher las cosas se complican y es ahí cuando aparece la violencia y el caos.

In this third installment we have Reacher (Alan Ritchson) working hand in hand with the DEA in order to rescue an informant who was captured by a criminal network. This network is in charge of arms trafficking so the only way to get close enough is to infiltrate it. This situation ties in with unfinished business from Reacher's past as he is going after someone and it is possible that this organization has something to do with it and is helping him in his personal hunt, a Vendetta of sorts. Basically he would be killing two birds with one stone. But as it always happens in Reacher's seasons, things get complicated and that's when violence and chaos appear.

Creo que lo más atractivo de la serie es la forma en cómo este tipo afronta todos los problemas, literalmente con sus propias manos. Ver siempre como reparte dosis de justicia a gente que se lo merece es algo que le gusta a todo el mundo y que es extrañamente gratificante. Si comparamos esta temporada con las anteriores vemos que no hay mucha diferencia en lo que al fondo del personaje se refiere, Reacher es un hombre callado, inexpresivo que lo único que busca es la redención y/o resolver asuntos pendientes para así tener un la consciencia un poco más tranquila. No es que él haya sido una mala persona pero al haber estado a cargo de mucha gente pues la probabilidad de haber perdido a alguien son un tanto altas.

I think the most appealing thing about the series is the way this guy deals with all the problems, literally with his bare hands. Seeing how he always delivers doses of justice to people who deserve it is something that everyone likes and that is strangely gratifying. If we compare this season with the previous ones we see that there is not much difference as far as the background of the character is concerned, Reacher is a quiet, inexpressive man that the only thing he seeks is redemption and / or resolve unfinished business in order to have a conscience a little calmer. It is not that he has been a bad person but having been in charge of many people, the probability of having lost someone is somewhat high.

Ese es el motor de él, hacer justicia por los que no están al mismo tiempo que hace al mundo ligeramente mejor eliminando a estas plagas. Otro común denominador es que siempre va con un equipo de turno, en esta ocasión fue el turno de un par de agentes de la DEA, Susan Duffy y Villanueva (Sonya Cassidy y Roberto Montesinos respectivamente) y claro está la única que sobrevive de aquella primera temporada, Neagley (Maria Sten). Ver a estas cuatro personas hacer frente a una organización que lo tiene todo, dinero y armas, y aún así darles de baja es super interesante. Porque si, el final siempre es el mismo (spoiler alert).

That's the driving force behind it, to do justice for those who are not there while making the world slightly better by eliminating these pests. Another common denominator is that he always goes with a team on duty, this time it was the turn of a couple of DEA agents, Susan Duffy and Villanueva (Sonya Cassidy and Roberto Montesinos respectively) and of course the only one surviving from that first season, Neagley (Maria Sten). Watching these four people stand up to an organization that has everything, money and guns, and still give them down is super interesting. Because yes, the ending is always the same (spoiler alert).

El valor agregado de esta serie no es la forma en como termina, eso todo el mundo ya se lo imagina o lo infiere, es la manera en como logra que todo termine, es el camino lleno de obstáculos de todo timpo que tienen que recorrer para llegar a donde quieren. La trama en si puede que resulte lineal con un par de plot twist por ahí pero profundamente entretenida, llevo viéndola sus tres temporadas y nunca me he cansado ni aburrido de ella. Las escenas de acción son muy buenas, las coreografías de peleas también tienen lo suyo, hay mucha violencia, sangre, enfrentamientos cuerpo a cuerpo; es un cóctel de adrenalina.

The added value of this series is not the way it ends, everyone already imagines or infers that, it's the way it manages to end it all, it's the road full of obstacles they have to go through to get where they want to go. The plot itself may be linear with a couple of plot twists but deeply entertaining, I've been watching it for three seasons and I've never gotten tired or bored of it. The action scenes are very good, the fight choreographies also have their own thing, there is a lot of violence, blood, body to body confrontations; it is a cocktail of adrenaline.

Los personajes. Lo que llama la atención es que el cast es siempre distinto salvo el propio Reacher y Neagley. Siempre van a ver nuevos personajes y eso es cool porque hace que la serie dentro de su línea no sea tan repetitiva. Son interpretaciones promedio, acá no verán nada digno de un Golden Globe o un Emmy. La serie no es de ese estilo, además. Actuaciones básicas y con esto no quiero decir que sean malas, sino que son las necesarias para que la serie camine como debe. 8 episodios esta temporada, todos llenos de acción y verticalidad. Está en Prime Video. Le doy un 8/10, es una gran serie ideal para desconectar y sentarse horas frente a sus pantallas. Les dejo el tráiler por acá.

Characters. What is striking is that the cast is always different except for Reacher himself and Neagley. You will always see new characters and that's cool because it makes the series not so repetitive. They are average performances, here you won't see anything worthy of a Golden Globe or an Emmy. The series is not that style, besides. Basic performances and by this I don't mean that they are bad, but they are the necessary ones for the series to walk as it should. 8 episodes this season, all action-packed and vertical. It's on Prime Video. I give it an 8/10, it's a great series ideal to disconnect and sit for hours in front of your screens. I leave the trailer here.
