A principios de este mes que va en curso se estrenó la segunda parte de lo que sería la última temporada de una de las series más globales, más vistas y que más ha atrapado a la gente a nivel mundial. Hablar de esta serie sin decir el gran fenómeno que es sin duda sería un error porque lo que ha calado esta historia en las personas es algo que podemos considerar como un hecho cultural. Con sus altibajos termina este gran robo a la reserva nacional de oro de España y por tanto veremos si al final fueron capaces de lograrlo.

At the beginning of this month, the second part of what would be the last season of one of the most global, most watched series that has caught people's attention worldwide was released. To talk about this series without mentioning what a great phenomenon it is would undoubtedly be a mistake because the impact this story has had on people is something that we can consider a cultural fact. With its ups and downs, this great robbery of Spain's national gold reserve ends and therefore we will see if in the end they were able to achieve it.

Confieso que desde la tercera temporada aproximadamente mi fanatismo y veneración se fue apagando poco a poco, recuerdo que con las dos primeras temporadas todo fue un "hype" eterno pero a partir de ahí en adelante las cosas para mi no fueron igual. Y lo digo porque siempre esperé algo diferente que los mismos robos e historias dentro de las paredes esta vez de la reserva nacional, creo y en mi humilde opinión, se volvió un poco monótona. Pero hoy venimos a hablar de lo que fue el cierre definitivo, esperemos, de la serie así que sin más vamos a ello.

I confess that since the third season approximately my fanaticism and veneration was gradually fading, I remember that with the first two seasons everything was an eternal "hype" but from then on things for me were not the same. And I say this because I always expected something different than the same robberies and stories inside the walls this time of the national reserve, I think and in my humble opinion, it became a bit monotonous. But today we come to talk about what was the definitive closure, hopefully, of the series so without further ado let's get to it.

No vamos a contar de que va la serie porque pienso que a estas alturas todos sabemos eso pero de lo que si quisiera conversar un poco con ustedes es de este final de temporada y por consiguiente de la serie. Son los momentos finales de este gran robo del oro de la reserva de España, por un lado la banda sigue dentro viendo como logran hacer dos grandes tareas: terminar de extraer todo el oro y de contener los ataques tras ataques por parte de la policías, ejercito y por que no, toda la seguridad de un país.

We are not going to tell you what the series is about because I think we all know that by now, but what I would like to talk to you about is this season finale and therefore the series. These are the final moments of this great theft of gold from the reserve of Spain, on the one hand the gang is still inside seeing how they manage to do two major tasks: to finish extracting all the gold and to contain the attacks after attacks by the police, army and why not, all the security of a country.

Y por el otro lado tenemos al profesor quien es la mente maestra tratando de que todo aquello se logre pero con la particularidad de la inclusión de la agente Alicia Sierra al panorama. Es una particularidad porque con ella libre las cosas cambian mucho, como en efecto sucede en esta temporada lo que al final resulta siendo un elemento vital para el desenlace de esta gran historia.

And on the other side we have the professor who is the mastermind trying to achieve all that but with the particularity of the inclusion of the agent Alicia Sierra to the panorama. It is a particularity because with her free things change a lot, as indeed happens in this season which in the end turns out to be a vital element for the outcome of this great story.

Pero vamos a lo que nos compete, me gustó como terminó esta trama? - la verdad que no. Una cosa tenemos que estar claros y es que la ficción es una norma en esta serie, indudablemente pasan cosas que en ningún panorama y en ningún caso pasarían jamás pero es que si no es así esto hubiese sido un fracaso y no vendería nada, verdad?. La cosa está en que dentro de esa ficción debió de existir cierta dosis de realidad y eso es lo que en lo personal a mi me faltó.

But let's get down to business, did I like the way this plot ended? - Not really. One thing we have to be clear about is that fiction is a rule in this series, undoubtedly things happen that in no scenario and in no case would ever happen, but if not, this would have been a failure and it would not sell anything, right? The thing is that within that fiction there must have been a certain dose of reality and that is what I personally found lacking.

Fue un final muy feliz para mi gusto; si, murieron personajes importantes y esta serie se encarga de recordártelo siempre pero fue una conclusión muy diplomática en donde los fanáticos de ambos bandos, si es que hay algunos que sean de las autoridades, quedaron bastantes conformes diría yo. El factor sorpresa en ese aspecto, OJO, fue nulo por no decir inexistente.

It was a very happy ending for my taste; yes, important characters died and this series always reminds you of that, but it was a very diplomatic conclusion where the fans of both sides, if there are any fans of the authorities, were quite happy I would say. The surprise factor in that aspect, EYE, was null if not nonexistent.

Ahora, hay que decir que los cambios o giros de trama en esta temporada fueron un poco sorprendentes la verdad, el hilo conductor diría yo. Algunos muy pocos creíbles como ya dije pero otros que muy sinceramente no me los esperaba en absoluto y eso es precisamente lo que yo quería, que quedara algo en esta serie que me impresionara y creo que los logró.

Now, it must be said that the changes or plot twists in this season were a bit surprising the truth, the common thread I would say. Some very few credible as I said but others that very sincerely I did not expect them at all and that is precisely what I wanted, that there was something left in this series that impressed me and I think it achieved them.

Tenemos que hablar de ciertos personajes y entre tantos voy a mencionar a tres nada más: Berlín, Palermo y Gandía. Creo y sin miedo a equivocarme, son algunos de los mejores personajes que nos dejó esta serie. Berlín (Pedro Alonso) porque TODA la serie se basa prácticamente en él además de que es un personaje increíblemente bien elaborado, no tiene fallas por ningún lado, tanto así que ya es sabido que van a hacer un Spin-off solo de él, así que podrán imaginarse lo que caló en la gente.

We have to talk about certain characters and among them I am going to mention only three: Berlin, Palermo and Gandía. I think and without fear of being wrong, they are some of the best characters that this series has left us. Berlin (Pedro Alonso) because the ENTIRE series is practically based on him and he is an incredibly well elaborated character, he has no flaws anywhere, so much so that it is already known that they are going to make a spin-off just about him, so you can imagine how much he caught on with the people.

Palermo (Rodrigo de la Serna) fue otro que llegó a la serie como un complemento top para darle más profundidad a la historia en si como al personaje de Berlín. Fue el motor dentro de este último robo y logró que unas personas que estaban al punto de colapso no decayeran y siguieran con el mismo ímpetu de siempre. Y para finalizar, el "malo" pero que actuaba bajo el deber ser y la justicia, Gandía (José Manuel Poga) es un personaje que realmente odias y mucho y eso denota lo bue actor que es. La puesta en escena de él imponía autoridad en exceso y creo que era justo lo que se estaba buscando.

Palermo (Rodrigo de la Serna) was another who came to the series as a top complement to give more depth to the story itself as well as to Berlin's character. He was the driving force in this last robbery and managed to make people who were at the point of collapse not to decline and continue with the same impetus as always. And finally, the "bad guy" but who acted under duty and justice, Gandía (José Manuel Poga) is a character that you really hate a lot and that shows what a good actor he is. The staging of him imposed authority in excess and I think it was just what they were looking for.

Menciono un par de nombres extras como Arturo que fue realmente despreciable o Nairobi que todo lo que hizo fue por amor, de hecho diría que fue uno de los personajes con lo que las personas más empatizaron. Em términos generales el casting completo fue una maravilla, por más secundario que fuese el papel estoy seguro que dejó una marca en alguien y eso es lo que realmente importa.

I mention a couple of extra names like Arturo who was really despicable or Nairobi who everything he did was for love, in fact I would say he was one of the characters that people empathized with the most. In general terms the whole casting was a marvel, no matter how minor the role was I'm sure it left a mark on someone and that's what really matters.

En fin, una serie que me hubiese gustado que terminara de una forma pero lo hizo de otra. Fue malo? - no, pero repito para mi fue algo muy "final feliz" y ese concepto a veces no me gusta mucho porque lo que se busca es complacer a todo el mundo más que buscar hacer lo que realmente debió haber pasado.

All in all, a series that I would have liked to end one way but ended another. Was it bad? - No, but I repeat, for me it was a very "happy ending" and sometimes I don't like that concept because they try to please everyone rather than trying to do what really should have happened.

Como siempre pasó en las temporadas pasadas esta quinta y última te va a volar la cabeza por la forma en la que el plan para terminar el robo está elaborado, siempre pasan cosas que no te esperas, esos giros en la trama que les mencioné, para bien o para mal, también están presentes y al final el factor sentimental juega un papel muy importante acá. Los que vimos y conocimos las historias de estos ladrones sabemos un poco más allá de ellos y al final terminas conociéndolos y llegar a sentir un poco esos momentos de cierre.

As it always happened in the past seasons, this fifth and last one will blow your mind because of the way the plan to finish the robbery is elaborated, things always happen that you don't expect, those plot twists that I mentioned, for better or worse, are also present and in the end the sentimental factor plays a very important role here. Those of us who saw and knew the stories of these thieves know a little more about them and in the end you end up getting to know them and get to feel a little of those moments of closure.

A esta temporada le doy un 7.5/10 porque no me sorprendió el final pero otras cosas si, la producción siguió estando de primera y esos "plot twist" definitivamente son un extra increíble. Ya está disponible en Netflix y esta temporada cuenta con 10 episodios. Por acá les dejo el tráiler para que den un vistazo.
