Hello community! I hope everyone is well because today I want to give my opinion about a movie nominated for an Oscar for best animated film, it has been a while since it was released but it is never too late to talk about this great animated film, it is The Mitchells vs The Machines.
It has been a while since I saw many opinions and memes of this movie, which I found interesting because last year I had not come across this kind of actions with animated films, that is, I had not seen any animated film that took so much relevance. It wasn't until recently that I finally saw it after seeing Enchantment, its competition at the Oscars, even though the latter won in the end I would like to talk about this, since both films are good but I will focus for now on The Mitchells.
At the beginning of this film I was already realizing that it was going to be completely animated, with a cartoonish style but at the same time looking clean and realistic, quite attractive. At the same time we are introduced to the members of the family, each one with something in particular that identifies them and differentiates each character from the other, and this is when the plot of the film begins to form. The film begins to show us the life of these characters that at first glance, are all different but "share" something in common, the 3 can not be detached from the cell phone or any other device that can link them to the Internet, this could easily be an episode of real life, which ends up being a good joke in the film. Another thing that starts to shape the plot is Katie's career, which has a YouTube channel in which she decides her movie works she made taking her dog as the main character, this doesn't seem normal to her parents of course, and that's how they start to feel insecure about Katie's career.
On the other hand, in the facilities of the company Pal, they are presenting some robots for home assistance that use their new technology and that of course, would replace the artificial intelligence that were in the cell phones of their brand, for some reason, this intelligence had its own conscience and ends up controlling all the robots to create a rebellion against humans, capturing them all in capsules that would be stored in a giant tower, in the same place where these robots are manufactured. At this point is when the Mitchell family prepares for a trip to that tower, with the help of two robots that end up under the orders of Katie. The problem is good and is raised fairly quickly, the rest of the film gradually solves those problems of the family remembering how they all lived before each one focused on other things, it is a well laid out plot that you could see coming already knowing that it was a family road trip movie, but what makes it different, is how this film is animated.
I had already told you how the animation was in the movie, but beyond that, it also implements jokes that break the chaos of the scenes, as if they were an Internet meme, just as our protagonist would do with her videos, that is one of the things that makes the movie different. Something that I really liked was how it manages to differentiate the aspect of the family scenes and the aspect of the machines, one more human than the other, to give at the end a touch of both in the battle. An excellent animation, is what I would summarize this film, with good jokes that do not manage to make the audience uncomfortable, considering the bad reputation that Sony Pictures Animation got with Emoji: Movie, it ended up making a mark among good current films of this studio, along with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. And the final question is, should it have won the Oscar? Possibly, even though I have not yet seen the other nominated films except for Encanto, this film would give a strong fight to the Oscar winner.

¡Hola comunidad! Espero que todos estén bien ya que el día de hoy quiero dar mi opinión acerca de una película nominada al Oscar por mejor película animada, tiene ya tiempo que se estreno pero nunca es tarde para hablar sobre esta gran película animada, se trata de La Familia Mitchell vs Las Maquinas.
Hace ya tiempo que vi muchas opiniones y memes de esta película, lo cual me pareció interesante debido a que el año pasado no me había topado con este tipo de acciones con películas animadas, osea, no había visto alguna película animada que tomara tanta relevancia. No seria hasta hace poco que la vi finalmente luego de ver Encanto, su competencia en los Oscars, aunque al final haya ganado esta ultima quisiera hablar de esto, ya que ambas películas son buenas pero me centrare por ahora en La Familia Mitchell.
Al comienzo de esta película ya me estaba dando cuenta que iba a ser completamente animada, con un estilo caricaturesco pero al mismo tiempo busca un aspecto limpio y realista, bastante atractivo. Se nos presenta al mismo tiempo a los miembros de la familia, cada quien con algo en particular que los identifica y que diferencia a cada personaje uno del otro, y acá es cuando empieza a formarse la trama de la película. La película empieza a mostrarnos la vida de estos personajes que a simple vista, son todos diferentes que "comparten" algo en común, los 3 no pueden estar despegados del celular o cualquier otro aparato que los pueda unir a Internet, esto podría ser fácilmente un episodio de la vida real, lo cual termina siendo un buen chiste en la película. Otra cosa que empieza a moldear la trama es la carrera de Katie, la cual tiene un canal de YouTube en el cual decide sus obras de películas que hizo tomando como protagonista a su perro, esto no le parece normal a sus padres claro, y es así como empiezan a sentirse inseguros de la carrera de Katie.
Por otro lado, en las instalaciones de la compañía Pal, se esta presentando a unos robots de asistencia en el hogar que usan su nueva tecnología y que por supuesto, reemplazarían a la inteligencia artificial que se encontraban en los celulares de su marca, por alguna razón, dicha inteligencia tenia conciencia propia y termina controlando a todos los robots para armar una rebelión en contra de los humanos, capturandolos a todos en unas capsulas que se almacenarían en una torre gigante, en el mismo lugar donde se fabrican esos robots. En este momento es cuando la familia Mitchell se prepara para un viaje hacia esa torre, con la ayuda de dos robots que terminan bajo las ordenes de Katie. La problemática esta buena y se plantea bastante rápido, el resto de la película resuelve poco a poco esos problemas de la familia recordando como vivían todos antes de que cada quien se centraran cada quien en otras cosas, es una trama bien planteada que se podría ver venir ya sabiendo que se trataba de una película de viaje sobre ruedas en familia, pero lo que lo hace diferente, es como se anima esta película.
Ya les había contado como era la animación en la película, pero mas allá de eso, también implementa chistes que rompen el caos de las escenas, como si fueran un meme de Internet, justo como lo haría nuestra protagonista con sus videos, eso es una de las cosas que hace diferente a la película. Algo que me gusto mucho fue como se logra diferenciar el aspecto de las escenas en familia y el aspecto de las maquinas, uno mas humano que el otro, para dar al final un toque de ambos en la batalla. Una animación excelente, es en lo que resumiría esta película, con chistes buenos que no logran incomodar al publico, teniendo en cuenta la mala fama que se llevo Sony Pictures Animation con Emoji: Movie, termino haciendo huella entre buenas películas actuales de este estudio, junto a Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Y la pregunta final es ¿Debió ganar el Oscar? Posiblemente, a pesar que no haya visto aun las otras películas nominadas excepto Encanto, esta película daría fuerte batalla al ganador del Oscar.
¿Que opinas? ¿Debió ganar la familia Mitchell o la familia Madrigal?
