A story with an interesting central idea, well executed, that will satisfy the followers of this genre.

James is a man who in his past has done work for Ray, a fabric store owner who also has a dirty business. James has a special gift, he has visions, fragments of events that will happen in the future. That gift has traumatized him since childhood, because he saw how his mother would die in a car accident and although he warned her, he could not change his destiny. Ray instructs him to sell some diamonds that were stolen in Zimbabwe, but things get complicated when Ray's cousin and another of the criminals want to steal the diamonds. James has seen his own death and must do everything possible to change his fatal destiny.

A crime thriller mixed with science fiction, made on a low budget, with an ingenious script. An agile pace and a twist in the story, which takes place after forty minutes of filming, seeking to surprise the viewer.

It's difficult to explain more of the story without gutting some of the film. You enjoy it more if you don't know some details, you just have to know that it's science fiction.

Science fiction that doesn't need a million dollar budget to make stories with jumps in space - time. This movie is an example, set in our time, without special effects, is a good story condensed in an hour and a half, which manages to excite as it progresses.

I hadn't seen anything promotional about the film, I selected it on the streaming page, because the title caught my attention and I wanted to see some science fiction. I was pleasantly surprised.

We're interested to see how James will prevent fate from taking his life in one take. Will he manage to survive? Or is it all already determined? The dialogues related to science fiction are not deep, they are part of the story, but they do not pretend to give a class on scientific theories.

Sometimes I don't understand the logic of the executives behind the big studios, who make the decisions. I don't know how much time the filmmaker would spend trying to make this film, but I'm sure I'm knocking on many doors. You could make improvements in the script, a high budget, a couple of movie stars to call on the masses and the result would be a blockbuster with a good chance of being well received

Tony Dean Smith is the writer and director of this interesting film. He was born in South Africa, but now lives and works in Canada. If you are interested in seeing his experience and career, check out his profile on IMDB Link and his profile on Wikipedia Link. We'll see that he has extensive experience in television, where he has been an editor, screenwriter and also an actor.

The actors who bring the characters to life are little known faces, but he has worked in supporting roles in films and television series. Adrian Glynn McMorran plays the hero, James, he convinced me and I felt sympathy for his character tormented by that gift of seeing fragments of his future life.

The actress Magda Apanowicz is Angela, the girl who enters James' life, but whom he had already seen in one of his childhood visions. I think she's the best known of the cast, because she worked on the series Kyle XY. She's a recurrent in science fiction series, I've seen her on Caprica and Continuum. One of the villains is played by the actor Frank Cassine, who I think I've seen in some series, always playing the bad guy.

I did a search on the Internet and there aren't many articles about this movie. I also didn't see any strong promotional campaigns. It's a shame, I think this film is worth it. Its crime and science fiction story is well told.

My Ranking: 2.9/5
