I saw this story a couple of months ago. I stumbled upon it by chance, I don't think it didn't have much circulation. I saw it without great expectations and its first episode caught me and did not let me go until the end, after intense plot twists that will surprise the viewer.
When things are done well, they have to be said. The work of David Victori and Jordi Vallejo, as creators, deserves to be recognized. Both are consolidating a career in Spanish fiction and have participated in many excellent titles. There is a predilection for thrillers.
Nothing is what it seems. You can't believe anything you see. Everything is biased by the point of view of the one who tells the facts that make up the mystery of the story. What has happened, is everyone lying? Who is telling the truth? The six witnesses to the crime could turn from victims to accomplices. The police will have a lot of work to do to solve an increasingly tangled mystery.
Six bus passengers, a mysterious vigilante, dead robbers, two cops determined to solve the case. All walking a fine line between truth and lies. Contradictions, different versions, different points of view, which cause surprise in the viewers each time the truth emerges episode by episode.
Although some situations may seem a bit forced, the goal of keeping us attentive to everything that happens is achieved. There is an episode near the end that seemed a bit weak to me, but precisely after that comes the big plot twist that will leave us with our mouths open.
On previous occasions I have said that great Spanish productions are being made, in various genres and it is again demonstrated with this miniseries that can be enjoyed in streaming on Disney+.
Vi esta historia hace un par de meses. Me topé con ella por casualidad, creo que no tuvo mucha difusión. La vi sin grandes expectativas y su primer episodio me atrapó y no me soltó hasta el final, tras intensos giros argumentales que sorprenderán al espectador.
Cuando las cosas se hacen bien hay que decirlas. El trabajo de David Victori y Jordi Vallejo, como creadores, merece ser reconocido. Ambos están consolidando una carrera en la ficción española y han participado en muchos y excelentes títulos. Hay una predilección por el thriller.
Nada es lo que parece. No puedes creer nada de lo que ves. Todo está sesgado por el punto de vista de quien cuenta los hechos que conforman el misterio de la historia. ¿Qué ha pasado, todos mienten? ¿Quién dice la verdad? Los seis testigos del crimen podrían pasar de víctimas a cómplices. La policía tendrá mucho trabajo para resolver un misterio cada vez más enredado.
Seis pasajeros de autobús, un misterioso justiciero, ladrones muertos, dos policías decididos a resolver el caso. Todos caminando por una fina línea entre la verdad y la mentira. Contradicciones, diferentes versiones, distintos puntos de vista, que causan sorpresa en los espectadores cada vez que la verdad emerge episodio a episodio.
Aunque algunas situaciones puedan parecer un poco forzadas, se consigue el objetivo de mantenernos atentos a todo lo que sucede. Hay un episodio cerca del final que me pareció un poco flojo, pero precisamente después llega el gran giro argumental que nos dejará con la boca abierta.
En anteriores ocasiones he dicho que se están haciendo grandes producciones españolas, en diversos géneros y se vuelve a demostrar con esta miniserie que se puede disfrutar en streaming en Disney+.

Nobody cares about the truth
That's the phrase uttered by police chief Victoria Jordan. A lapidary sentence full of truth. Neither society nor the rulers care about the truth. These opposites feed each other with their own lies. They are only interested in bringing to light what benefits some and what interests others.
The manipulation of the media, voracious creatures hungry to give the news that make them sell and be in the limelight. For them the truth does not exist, they construct the truth that the public will devour with fruition, to satisfy their morbid curiosity. For a long time now, the news have become a spectacle. If you think I exaggerate, you only have to see how some crimes in Spain have become a media circus. Even now they have set up a whole show with the son of a Spanish actor who committed a horrendous crime in Thailand.
Those in power are also in charge of fabricating their own truth, no matter if innocent people are harmed. And when that truth tries to come to light, they will use all their god to prevent it, because they have to cover up all the mistakes committed in the past that could damage their image and reputation. Nothing better than a waste of the system to be the scapegoat and guilty of everything.
Fear. The most powerful weapon to hide the truth and create a new narrative. The fear of hurting loved ones, the fear of losing what is most precious. This is what some will use to make a big lie become truth. But nothing is perfect and there will be loose ends. When that fear is overcome, everything will explode.
A nadie le importa la verdad
Esa es la frase pronunciada por la jefa de policía Victoria Jordan. Una frase lapidaria llena de verdad. Ni a la sociedad ni a los gobernantes les interesa la verdad. Estos opuestos se alimentan mutuamente con sus propias mentiras. Sólo les interesa sacar a la luz lo que beneficia a unos y lo que interesa a otros.
La manipulación de los medios de comunicación, criaturas voraces hambrientas de dar las noticias que les hagan vender y estar en el candelero. Para ellos la verdad no existe, construyen la verdad que el público devorará con fruición, para satisfacer su morbosa curiosidad. Hace tiempo que los telediarios se han convertido en un espectáculo. Si creen que exagero, sólo tienen que ver cómo algunos crímenes en España se han convertido en un circo mediático. Incluso ahora tienen montado todo un show con el hijo de un actor español que cometió un horrendo crimen en Tailandia.
Los que están en el poder también se encargan de fabricar su propia verdad, sin importar si se perjudica a personas inocentes. Y cuando esa verdad intente salir a la luz, usarán todo su dios para impedirlo, porque tienen que tapar todos los errores cometidos en el pasado que puedan dañar su imagen y reputación. Nada mejor que un desecho del sistema para ser el chivo expiatorio y culpable de todo.
El miedo. El arma más poderosa para ocultar la verdad y crear una nueva narrativa. El miedo a herir a los seres queridos, el miedo a perder lo más preciado. Esto es lo que algunos utilizarán para hacer que una gran mentira se convierta en verdad. Pero nada es perfecto y habrá cabos sueltos. Cuando se supere ese miedo, todo explotará.
What to do when justice fails? There are two ways. To keep quiet and accept it or, on the other hand, to seek justice by one's own hand. The latter approach is daring for the times we live in, but in the face of so much inequality and injustice, for some there is no other way out than to try to make everything more balanced.
A great cast, including Pablo Molinero as the tough detective who will not rest until he finds the truth. The beautiful Michelle Jenner, playing Elisa Peña, one of the victims of the bus robbery who seems to have a lot of things to hide. José Manuel Poga as Dante Bazán, the mysterious vigilante with a terrible past. In addition to Paco Tous, Elena Irureta, Ana Wagener, among other well-known Spanish actors with an excellent track record.

¿Qué hacer cuando falla la justicia? Hay dos caminos. Callar y aceptarlo o, por otro lado, buscar justicia por mano propia. Este último planteamiento es atrevido para los tiempos que corren, pero ante tanta desigualdad e injusticia, para algunos no hay otra salida que intentar que todo sea más equilibrado.
Un gran reparto, entre los que destaca Pablo Molinero como el duro detective que no descansará hasta encontrar la verdad. La bella Michelle Jenner, interpretando a Elisa Peña, una de las víctimas del atraco al autobús que parece tener muchas cosas que ocultar. José Manuel Poga como Dante Bazán, el misterioso justiciero con un terrible pasado. Además de Paco Tous, Elena Irureta, Ana Wagener, entre otros actores españoles conocidos y con una excelente trayectoria.
