A mid 1980's action comedy movie that did have high level of violence and colourful language. Eddie Murphy plays the role very, very well. This was possibly the role that made Eddie Murphy more Hollywood mainstream. This is the type of movie where you enjoy the ride and don't take it too seriously, or least I don't take it that seriously.
They are assigned to watch Axel and make sure he isn't investigating the case. Not an easy thing for them to do considering that they don't appear to have considered bending a law or two and Axel is street smart from his youth in Detroit.
The investigation leads to one of Beverly Hills power brokers, by this stage Axel has managed to convince his minders that he is onto something. Can the three of them break the case without all of them getting fired by their respective captains?
