Hello everyone, I am writing a review on THE BLACK DEMON and it is a 2023 movie, it is actually a very nice and interesting movie. This is my first time writing a movie review so I hope you love it.
At the beginning of this movie I didn't think it was going to be as interesting as the poster but I kept on watching anyway and thankfully I wasn't disappointed.
The black demon is a thriller movie about a Nixon oil company inspector, Paul who is given a job to go check out one of their oil rigs offshore in a Mexican town, in California. Paul decides to take his wife, Ines, his daughter Audrey, his son Tommy with him for vacation while taking a look at the rig.
Reaching there, the town doesn't look as lively and as bubbly as it once was, it's in ruins, some of the residents do not look so friendly and they begin to wonder what must have happened to it. They eventually find a place to settle down for the time being when Paul goes to check out the rig, not knowing that he has been set as an enemy to the people in the town, he lives his family under the care of one of them.
Paul is taken halfway to the rig and is given another boat to ride alone to the rig. Upon arrival, Paul discovers that the rig is in havoc and almost in pieces, he also finds just two crew members on the rig, Chato and Junior with their pet dog, telling Paul that some of the crew members made it out while the rest died, that and the fact that the radio and phones were not working. Meanwhile, Ines and her children are being harassed by the villagers so they decide to flee and meet her husband on the rig after she pays the boat owner.
When the arrive, the crew members make noises to distract the megalodon shark (El Demonio Negro or The Black Demon) from them. Just managing to escape the big fish on time, the family watches in horror as it devours the boat and its owner whole. After witnessing that they stepped inside the rig, during their stay in the rig Ines discovers safety report papers of the rig that have been signed off by Paul while ignoring the problems and warnings. When she shows it to him, he tells her that he was forced to do it by the company if not their lives would have been in danger.
Chato and Junior decide to dive into the water to repair the power on the rig, while in the water Paul notices a bomb on one of the legs of the rig and he then knows that the Nexion oil company plans to kill him on the rig to cover up their deeds. Unfortunately Junior is killed in the water and Chato barely escapes.
After taking in the death of Junior. Paul comes up with a plan where he has to dive into the water for him to pay for his mistakes, letting his family and Chato sail away, removes the bomb and holds it while the megalodon eats him with the bomb exploding. Killing him and it while bringing down the rig.
Reaching shore with the help of a local fisherman boat, Ines gives the documents Paul left with her to the villagers so they could hold Nixon Oil responsible for their actions.
I really loved this movie except for the fact that Paul had to die. Yes he signed the papers and maybe he was one of the bad guys but he wasn't the mastermind and he tried to stop them, he was just trying to help his family. I would recommend this movie to anyone that hasn't watched it yet.

Hola a todos, estoy escribiendo una reseña sobre EL DEMONIO NEGRO y es una película de 2023, en realidad es una película muy bonita e interesante. Esta es la primera vez que escribo una reseña de películas, así que espero que te guste.

Al comienzo de esta película no pensé que iba a ser tan interesante como el cartel, pero seguí mirando de todos modos y afortunadamente no estaba decepcionado.
El demonio negro es una película de suspenso sobre un inspector de la compañía petrolera Nixon, Paul, al que se le da un trabajo para ir a ver una de sus plataformas petrolíferas en alta mar en una ciudad mexicana, en California. Paul decide tomar su esposa, Inés, su hija Audrey, su hijo Tommy con él de vacaciones mientras echa un vistazo a la plataforma.
Al llegar allí, la ciudad no se ve tan animada y tan burbujeante como una vez fue, está en ruinas, algunos de los residentes no se ven tan amigables y comienzan a preguntarse qué debe haberle pasado. Finalmente encuentran un lugar para establecerse por el momento cuando Paul va a echar un vistazo a la plataforma, sin saber que ha sido puesto como enemigo de la gente de la ciudad, vive bajo su familia el cuidado de uno de ellos.

Llevan a Paul a medio camino de la plataforma y le dan otro barco para que viaje solo hasta la plataforma. Al llegar, Paul descubre que la plataforma está destrozada y casi en pedazos, también encuentra sólo dos miembros de la tripulación en la plataforma, Chato y Junior con su perro mascota, diciéndole a Paul que algunos de los miembros de la tripulación lograron salir mientras que el resto murió, eso y el hecho de que la radio y los teléfonos no funcionaban. Mientras tanto, Inés y sus hijos son acosados por los aldeanos, por lo que deciden huir y reunirse con su marido en la plataforma después de pagar al dueño del barco.
Cuando llegan, los miembros de la tripulación hacen ruidos para distraer al tiburón megalodón (El Demonio Negro) de ellos. Apenas logran escapar a tiempo del gran pez, la familia observa horrorizada cómo devora entero el barco y a su dueño. Tras comprobar que han pisado el interior de la plataforma, durante su estancia en ella Inés descubre los papeles del informe de seguridad de la plataforma que han sido firmados por Paul mientras ignoraba los problemas y advertencias. Cuando ella se lo enseña, él le dice que la empresa le obligó a hacerlo si no sus vidas habrían corrido peligro.

Chato y Junior deciden lanzarse al agua para reparar la energía de la plataforma, mientras están en el agua Paul nota una bomba en una de las patas de la plataforma y entonces sabe que la petrolera Nexion planea matarlo en la plataforma para encubrir sus actos. Por desgracia, Junior muere en el agua y Chato escapa a duras penas.

Después de asumir la muerte de Junior. Paul idea un plan en el que tiene que sumergirse en el agua para que pague por sus errores, dejando que su familia y Chato se alejen, saca la bomba y la sostiene mientras el megalodon se lo come haciendo explotar la bomba. Matándolo a él y a él mientras derriba la plataforma.
Al llegar a la orilla con la ayuda de una barca de pescadores locales, Inés entrega los documentos que Paul le dejó a los aldeanos para que puedan responsabilizar a Nixon Oil de sus actos.
Me encantó esta película, excepto por el hecho de que Paul tuviera que morir. Sí, él firmó los papeles y puede que fuera uno de los malos, pero no era el cerebro y trató de detenerlos, sólo trataba de ayudar a su familia. Yo recomendaría esta película a cualquiera que no la haya visto todavía.
