Since I finally caught up with 'Legendary Moonlight Sculptor' last week, this week I moved on to another manhwa/webtoon (then light novel). This week I am reading Solo Leveling! XD
Solo Leveling tells the story about one E-rank hunter named Sung Jin-Woo as he risk his life in the lowliest of dungeon defeating the lowliest of monsters, to earn money to survive and pay for his mother's hospital bills.
Everything changed when he stumbled upon a hidden dungeon inside another dungeon (double lair dungeon) and encounter a near-death experience. The moment he woke up, he received a strange power that would change him from being the 'World's Weakest Hunter' to the "World's Strongest S-rank Hunter".

Truth be told, what piqued my interest on this series was it's title. Seeing as there is a "Leveling" on the title, I thought it was another of those mmorpg or vr stories I am a sucker for. And I was somewhat right on that. XD
The strange power the main character receives after a near-death experience was more or less like a 'Player-leveling System' exclusive to only him. That means everytime he defeats a monster or complete a quest, he receives EXP and some rewards. (And as you can see on the Screenshot below, with the training of Saitama XD)

Anyway, one could even say that it's more or less similar to the webtoon 'The Gamer' with a little brutality added.
I was honestly impressed after reading the first few chapters as they are not afraid to show a little cutting off body parts, crushing human heads, turning to ashes, etc...
Even the Main Character was 'somewhat' forced to murder another hunter which is very rare to see on any series. They normally play it safe and goes with the moral route.

As for the storyline, it honestly feels like a combination of some popular anime/manga/manhwa series combined into one so it's nothing unique.
It is still some somewhat enjoyable to binge-read though and honestly the art on this series is very well done.
