Hola hivers amantes de las películas y series, en esta oportunidad quiero analizar un film del año 2021, una producción dirigida por George Clooney y contando con la actuación de Ben Affleck, una película disponible en el servicio de streaming de Amazon Prime, ¿vale la pena verla? Una película estadounidense del género dramático ambientado en los años 70´s y 80´s, donde comienza el arduo camino al éxito con todo en su contra.
Sinopsis:
El joven J. R es abandonado por su padre, su madre al no tener empleo regresa a la casa de sus padres, allí comenzarán nuevamente con la esperanza de un mejor futuro. El tío Charlie ayudará a esta familia a seguir adelante para que puedan perseguir sus sueños y tener una maravillosa vida.
Análisis de la película
Es evidente que la historia nos marca el camino hacia el drama familiar, comenzamos observando que no existe la presencia del padre biológico de J.R, por lo cual crea un vacío que necesita suplir de alguna manera, esto es el punto más importante para poder comprender la película, el aspecto psicológico en el que se encuentra el niño que solo puede escuchar la voz de su padre por la radio debido a su profesión de locutor.
El Padre Ausente
Debemos comenzar por saber que esto es un aspecto que influye grandemente en el ámbito psicológico y emocional de cualquier ser humano, independientemente de la edad, aunque algunos afirmen que no tener una figura paterna no les afecte, es más probable que se tenga ese vacío en el alma, anclado en el subconsciente. Un padre es una figura de mucha importancia para un niño, sobre todo, cuando observa otras familias donde si se encuentra esa figura paterna, la inocencia de los niños los lleva a pesar que incluso puede ser su culpa o que su padre está haciendo algo más importante que presentarse a su cumpleaños. Esto es muy duro escribirlo, pero es algo que existe en nuestra sociedad y esta película, nos abre una puerta de como puede afectar esa emoción a través de los años.
¿Quién es el Verdadero Padre en la Película?
A los pocos minutos de comenzar a disfrutar de esta película escuchamos el mensaje “El tío Charlie es el tío que todos quisiéramos tener”, refiriéndose al que fue su figura paterna y que ocupo un puesto con amor, cariño y enseñanza para este sobrino que necesitaba con urgencia esta figura paterna en su vida.
Observamos que este personaje, no es para nada perfecto, es un sujeto que a pesar de sus limitaciones y de su carácter establece un vínculo muy importante en la vida de J.R. Esto nos da a entender que quizás el padre no sea necesariamente el que es pariente sanguíneo, sino el que con amor y cariño nos aconsejan para ir a un mejor camino, ese es el padre sin importar el apellido o lo diferentes que sea la otra persona. Este es el mensaje que me da esta película, un menaje claro y notorio de principio a fin.
Sueños Imposibles
Además de basarse en un drama familiar, la película nos muestra esos sueños por los que luchaba la madre de J.R, eran deseos de grandeza para su hijo, una carrera universitaria en una prestigiosa universidad, algo que la llenaría en el alma. Este aspecto motivador también es importante y resalta en toda la película, a pesar de los distintos obstáculos tanto económicos como emocionales, J.R está dispuesto a perseguir sus sueños.
Ambientación y Fotografía
La película muestra una paleta de colores cálida, algo que nos recuerda esa época de los 70´s y 80´s. A mi parecer se ha jugado bien con este aspecto técnico que de cierta manera nos hace recordar esas viejas fotografías de esas décadas. Un buen trabajo técnico para otorgarnos una buena calidad de imagen y una buena ambientación.
Drama
Desde mi punto de vista, esta película no es de las que hacen llorar a los espectadores, aunque existen algunas escenas donde quizás alguien pueda suspirar profundamente, ese estilo dramático no es significativo en esta producción, a pesar de que introduce el tema sobre un padre ausente. La película se encamina en contar la historia de J.R más que sentir tristeza por el personaje logramos admirarlo por ir superando los obstáculos a pesar de sus fallas emocionales.
Actuación
Me parece que las actuaciones son decentes, ambos protagonistas de la historia tienen buen desenvolvimiento, observamos a Ben Affleck como dueño de un bar ¿se lo imaginan?, aunque a pesar de eso el personaje es muy bueno y una pieza fundamental en esta historia, su actuación me parece de calidad junto al del protagonista.

La película no trasmite emociones fuertes o un drama muy marcado, su estructura es basada en libro, es un relato todo lo que significa vivir sin un padre, pero teniendo a “tío Charlie” que pueda guiar al joven a un mejor futuro. Como es una película con un estilo biográfico, sabemos como terminaran las cosas, sin embargo, el entretenimiento llega es la narrativa de los hechos que ocurren en la vida del autor, una película para tener en cuenta.

Si, es de ese tipo de películas con buena introducción y buen desarrollo, quizás un poco lenta para algunos gustos, con pocas sorpresas y sin mucho sentimentalismo, sin embargo, es una historia entretenida y capta la atención de principio a fin.
