Hola Hivers amantes de las películas y series, hoy al momento de compartir este post todavía es 14 de febrero y en esta región como en otros países latinoamericanos celebramos el día del amor y la amistad, es uno de esos días especiales den año en donde no solo recordamos el amor y la amistad, sino que también lo demostramos a las otras personas. El día de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una película sobre 5 amigos, no es un film que trata exclusivamente del amor y la amistad, pero me ha parecido interesante para comentar para toda la comunidad, la película se llama 5 Sangres.
Chadwick Boseman
No podemos comenzar de otra manera este post, en el año 2020 fallece este increíble actor mundialmente famoso por su interpretación de Pantera Negra en el universo cinematográfico de Marvel, esta es de sus últimas producciones en las que aparece este distinguido actor estrenada el mismo año de su fallecimiento. Esta película de cierta manera conmueve, ya que Chadwick Boseman interpreta a un soldado fallecido en la guerra de Vietnam, por lo cual su aparición es a través de flashback de los recuerdos de sus grandes amigos que vuelven al este país.
Sinopsis:
Cuatro veteranos de la guerra de Vietnam viajan nuevamente al país asiático para buscar los restos de su amigo fallecido, además, buscaran barras de oro enterradas en la selva desde la guerra. Lucharan contra sus demonios internos provocados por sus vivencias en la guerra, así como también de enfrentarse a obstáculos que suponen la búsqueda de un gran tesoro valorado en millones de dólares.
Análisis de la Película
El argumento se desarrolla partiendo de un grupo de amigos afroamericanos que combatieron en la guerra de vietnam, así que el tema bélico queda desde el principio implícito en el film. Además de anudar sobre un tema bélico. esta es una película que se sumerge en la crítica de las políticas de Estados Unidos durante esos años de conflicto, nos introduce en una historia de reivindicación por parte de los veteranos que sufrieron lo peor del conflicto pero que llevan el peso sobre sus hombros de todos los combatientes afroamericanos que dieron sus vidas en Vietnam.
¿Racismo?
La película toca temas raciales a cuentagotas, no siendo totalmente polémica, pero si bastante informativa con este aspecto, uno de los que me llamó la atención es que las tropas enviadas al país asiático por parte de EEUU eran con una fuerte presencia de afroamericanos, aun siendo una minoría bastante notoria en su propio país, donde sus derechos eran abusados. Podrán adivinar en que lugar eran puesto en el combate de este tipo de soldados, en primera línea por supuesto.
Este hecho les hacía sentir por momentos que estaban obligados a combatir en una guerra por derechos que pareciera que nunca serían suyos, sin embargo, su fuerte amistad y unión los llevo a completar esas peligrosas misiones para regresar a casa.
El tema racial se introduce en esta historia, pero a mi parecer de muy buena manera, incluyendo partes de dialogo de Martin Luther King, así como imágenes donde se muestran los horrores de la guerra, incluido varias tomas bastante famosas de la guerra.
Veteranos Post Guerra
Es evidente que a nivel psicológico la guerra se quede incrustada en la mente de los soldados, en ese sentido la película nos muestra ese problema causado por el estrés de las batallas (trastorno de estrés postraumático), sobre todo a uno de los personajes donde su mente se va desencajando por causa de los traumas vividos en la guerra. Aunque no conoceremos la verdad sobre este personaje y sus razones sobre su comportamiento hasta que entremos en la última fracción del film.
En un momento la película nos muestra el Monumento a los Veteranos de Vietnam en Washington, DC. Un mural conmemorativo para los veteranos que la película describe como un sitio para recordar a los que regresaron de Vietnam pero que murieron a causa de ella, dando a entender el alto nivel de trastorno psicológico provocado por los horrores de la guerra.
La película se maneja en cierto sentido hacia este panorama, donde el pasado de estos cuatro amigos es el que deben cargar pesadamente el resto de sus vidas, incluso afectado gravemente la vida familiar luego de Vietnam.
Desarrollo de la Película
A mi parecer es una película con un buen mensaje y con ese aroma a crítica a la política gubernamental que me agrada en las películas, sin embargo, la estructura del argumento queda por momentos algo vacía, siendo muy predecible por momentos. Quizás algunas revelaciones y pequeños giros en la trama pero que le falta cierto grado de sorpresa. A pesar de eso la manera en que se desenvuelve la película en su narrativa es entretenida, dando una larga introducción para posteriormente subir el ritmo e incluso presenciar algo de acción.
¿Acción?
Si hay acción en esta película, pero no es mucha, ya luego de varios minutos del film podemos presenciar una secuencia de escenas de acción y disparos recordando las películas bélicas y sobre todo de Vietnam. La violencia en esta película no es exagerada ni mucho menos. Al final de cuentas al ver veteranos de Vietnam buscando un tesoro (barras de oro) suponemos que veremos acción y muchos disparos, sin embargo, estas secuencias de acción son menos de la que podemos esperar sobre esta historia conociendo su sinopsis.
Personajes y Actuación
Sin dudas el personaje que captará la atención de todos es Delroy Lindo, el cual interpreta a Paul, el que quizás es el personaje más afectado por su pasado en Vietnam, su actuación es buena y nos muestra a través de su actuación esos impulsos, decisiones y el sufrimiento provocado por el trastorno de estrés postraumático, es el personaje más complejo del film a mi parecer y desde mi perspectiva lo hace muy bien.
No podemos olvidar a Chadwick Boseman, el cual hace un buen papel interpretando a ese amigo fallecido en el conflicto llamado Norman. A pesar de tener pocas apariciones son muy significativas y completa la historia de esta película. Saber que no volveremos a ver a este actor también nos otorga un pequeño sentimiento de tristeza, complementado con que su personaje también ha exhalado su ultimo aliento.
Hay otros personajes interesantes en el film, como el de Jonathan Majors interpretando a David (hijo de Paul), es un personaje que por momentos pensamos que sobra en la historia, pero se va introduciendo correctamente en la trama para colocar una pincelada de drama familiar en relación de padre e hijo.

Opinión Final
Esta es una película entretenida, quizás con un metraje muy amplio para algunos, sin embargo, esta extendida introducción sirve para conocer un poco más a los personajes, me parece una película a tener en cuenta con tocando temas como el racismo tanto en la época de la guerra de Vietnam como en la actualidad. Una interesante trama con la locura a la vuelta de la esquina provocada por los horrores de la guerra, quizás tiene menos acción de lo que esperaba, por lo cual que se introduce más hacia el drama y la aventura.
¿La Recomiendo?
Si, Creo que es una película que puede servir en cualquier ocasión y que se puede disfrutar en soledad o en compañía. Es una película que a pesar de no ser perfecta termina por satisfacer al espectador, a pesar de su largo metraje logra hacer llegar un buen mensaje en una historia bastante entretenida, creo que al publico en general puede gustarle. La recomiendo abiertamente.

It is evident that on a psychological level the war remains embedded in the minds of the soldiers, in that sense the film shows us the problem caused by the stress of battles (post-traumatic stress disorder), especially one of the characters where his mind is becoming unhinged because of the traumas experienced in the war. Yes there is action in this film, but not much, and after several minutes of the film we can witness a sequence of action scenes and shooting reminiscent of war movies and especially Vietnam. After all, when we see Vietnam veterans looking for treasure (gold bars) we assume that we will see action and lots of shooting, however, these action sequences are less than what we can expect from this story knowing its synopsis.
Characters and Acting
Undoubtedly the character that will capture everyone's attention is Delroy Lindo, who plays Paul, who is perhaps the character most affected by his past in Vietnam, his performance is good and shows us through his performance those impulses, decisions and suffering caused by post-traumatic stress disorder, he is the most complex character of the film in my opinion and from my perspective he does it very well.
