Guillermo del Toro es de los directores que cuyo nombre siempre capta la atención de los espectadores, por lo general, cualquier producción en la que aparezca su nombre me causará curiosidad, debo mencionar que no todas sus obras llenan mis expectativas, sin embargo, me gusta ese estilo oscuro en donde normalmente se trabaja con monstruos para finalmente otorgar un mensaje de aceptación.
Esta producción es interesante debido a que se reúne junto a otros directores para presentar una antología de relatos. En lo particular me agradan este tipo de producciones, me gustan los relatos cortos y todo lo que supone estructurar una historia corta que cause impacto en el espectador.
Así como es normal en una antología, hay cuentos mejores que son mejores que otros, por supuesto, eso depende de la percepción de cada quien, en mi caso en mi mente se encuentra lo que fue mi episodio favorito.
Análisis de la Antología
Desde el primer instante de comenzar a ver la serie, noté el estilo de Guillermo del Toro, en donde la oscuridad domina el espacio y la sensación de incertidumbre e intriga aparece desde el primer minuto, esa es la característica que nos mantendrá atentos durante toda la serie.

Una de las características de este director es ese trabajo minucioso en cuanto a la fotografía de sus películas y series, en donde muchos casos la simbología es mostrada al espectador y se completa un panorama sobre el mensaje que lleva cada producción. En el caso de esta serie, la fotografía es uno de esos aspectos más positivos, la paleta de colores oscuros juegan con nuestros sentidos, sin dudas me pareció un muy buen trabajo desde un punto de vista visual que haga que el espectador mantenga la mirada en la pantalla.
¿Terror?
Quizás yo sea de las personas poco impresionables que no sienten mucho miedo al momento de ver un filme o alguna serie, más allá de los efectos visuales, espero que la historia junto a otro conjunto de características hagan aparecer el miedo. En este caso, no me pareció una producción muy terrorífica, las historias si bien son bastante interesantes y algunas de ellas muy bien narradas, el terror.
Opinión General de la Serie
En general la serie me parece buena, siento que es una producción que vale la pena ver y disfrutar, más que por esperar buen terror, lo entretenido es la manera en que se narra cada historia y como se nos sumerge en la misma con una buena fotografía. Definitivamente es una producción que yo recomendaría para aquellas personas que disfrutan de las antologías.
Mi Episodio Favorito
Sin dudas el mejor episodio desde mi punto de vista es el llamado The Autopsy.
Este nos cuenta una historia magnífica, con un recurso literario impresionante que nos sumerge en una historia intrigante, pero al mismo tiempo emocionante, con algunos giros que le otorgan un condimento especial a este cuento.
Una de las sorpresas que muestra este episodio es en relación con sus personajes, en un principio parecen personajes de segundo plano, pero van teniendo un desarrollo excepcional y significativo en la historia.
Debo decir que me encantaron los diálogos y la resolución de la historia sobre el final, me parece un trabajo muy completo desde un punto de vista en general, pienso que este episodio se despega de los demás siendo la referencia clara de este proyecto de Guillermo del Toro.
Si no desean ver la serie completa, les sugiero ver al menos este episodio, seguramente no terminarán decepcionados, quizás despierte la curiosidad para seguir viento esta antología. Si bien hay episodios buenos y otros que puede que olvidemos más rápidos, siento que este destaca y que la mayoría del público seguramente disfrutará.
El episodio llamado Graveyard Rats también deja muy buenas sensaciones, juega con nuestros sentidos como estar en un espacio cerrado en la oscuridad, además, de que seguramente espantará a todos los usuarios que tengan fobia a las ratas. Desde mi punto de vista es otro episodio destacado pero en un nivel menor al de "The Autopsy"
Episodios que no fueron tan buenos
The Outside, creo que resulta algo largo y un poco agobiante, la historia sobre un producto de belleza, pero con una tonalidad distinta, no hay terror, solo una especia de crítica social que resulta un poco insípida.
Dreams in the Witch House, este es otro episodio con un gran potencial, pero que no termina de explotar, tiene una buena trama y algo de terror sobrenatural, sin embargo, creo que su resolución deja que desear.

Sí, es una producción bastante buena y que nos hace mantener la atención en todo momento, observaremos el estilo de varios directores y eso también es un punto a favor de la serie. Como en toda antología disfrutaremos algunos episodios más que otros, sin embargo, ninguno de los episodios resulta ser tan malo como para dejar de verlo, al menos esa es mi opinión.
Si no han visto esta serie, se las recomiendo, sobre todo si disfrutan de historias oscuras, además, estos directores le otorgan buenos toques artísticos a sus obras.
