Esta película es del género de suspenso y de terror psicológico, su duración es de 94 minutos, esta producción cuenta con el protagonismo de Mario Casas dentro de un personaje en el cual no lo había visto anteriormente. Debido a que es una producción española no dudé en colocarla en mi pantalla de Netflix, estoy convencido que el cine ibérico tiene un gran potencial y nos lo ha demostrado en estos últimos años, sobre todo con la ayuda de este gran gigante de la industria del entretenimiento, Netflix.

Sinopsis:

Ángel, es un paramédico y trabaja en la ambulancia junto a su compañero, vive una vida normal con su novia Vane hasta que un accidente en el momento de trasladar en ambulancia a un paciente en estado de gravedad hace que queda sin movilidad ni sensibilidad en sus piernas, condenado a la silla de ruedas y viendo como su impedimento hace que cambie por completo su personalidad. Ángel se convierte en un obsesionado por Vane y es capaz de todo para que su vida no cambie a pesar del desafortunado accidente.

Resumen

La película comienza con la vida de Ángel, interpretado por Mario Casas, este es un paramédico, sin embargo, desde el comienzo de toda la producción notamos una dudosa moralidad, debido a que roba objetos de los que atiende o en muchos casos roba las pertenencias en la casa de los fallecidos, una práctica que le da algo de dinero extra, pero que nos da una pista de como es este personaje en realidad y dándonos a entender que puede hacer cosa indebidas o ilegales para su propio beneficio, el caso más notorio es que roba un reloj de la habitación de una anciana recién fallecida y luego simplemente lo vende sin ningún remordimiento o respeto por la difunta.

Vane es una mujer que trabaja duramente y también tiene un horario de estudio, pretende crecer en el área profesional, la relación con Ángel parece buena a pesar de las limitaciones económicas, sin embargo, en algunas escenas notamos a un Ángel celoso por las actividades de Vane, lo cual poco a poco se va adentrando a su cabeza.

EL Accidente:

Luego de rescatar a un herido de un accidente automovilístico, Ángel y su compañero Ricardo realizan el traslado en ambulancia, pero una fuerte colisión cambia la vida de Ángel, este queda paralitico luego del accidente, no se especifica el tiempo que estuvo Ángel en el hospital, la escena siguiente es el en la ducha junta a Vane llorando.

Luego de este accidente la mente de Ángel comienza a hacer estragos en su percepción, siente que puede perder a su novia, algo que podemos notar es que Vane le trata de manera diferente, sus conversaciones son más frías y se ve un alejamiento entre la pareja, además, debemos tener en cuenta las finanzas de la pareja que no estaban pasando por su mejor momento.

Notamos que Vane pasa mucho tiempo estudiando con su compañero, el cual le manda mensajes a su teléfono y Ángel se da cuenta, sintiéndose desesperado y al mismo tiempo obsesionado con saber lo que hace su novia, decide instalar en el teléfono de Vane una aplicación para saber su ubicación, revisar sus conversaciones, incluso ver a través de su cámara para espiarla y saber absolutamente todos sus movimientos.

En este punto notamos a un Ángel desesperado y obsesionado con Vane, no quiere perderla pero su situación e incapacidad no le ayuda, además, ella tiene planes a futuros como una pasantía en una clínica veterinaria, cuando le dice a Ángel, sobre su plan, le pregunta sobre sus finanzas, no podrían vivir si ella reduce las horas de trabajo y la pensión de incapacidad de Ángel no es suficiente para vivir.

A través del celular revisa una conversación en la cual le aconsejan a Vane abandonar a Ángel, este inmediatamente se convierte en un novio ejemplar tratando con cariño hasta cocinándole a su novia, en cuanto a la intimidad es otro aspecto a analizar, Ángel luego del accidente pierde la sensibilidad en la parte inferior de su cuerpo haciendo que no tenga encuentros sexuales, sin embargo, en las primeras escenas notamos a una Vane deseosa por tener un bebé cosa que le costará mucho a Ángel.

A pesar de esto la relación mejora un poco luego del cambio de actitud de Ángel luego de saber que a Vane le aconsejaban que lo abandonara, pero en una escena Vane descubre el programa el cual Ángel utilizaba para espiarla, en un gran ataque de ira Vane se marcha, este suceso marcaría el punto de inflexión dentro de la trama.

Luego de varios meses Ángel sigue obsesionado con Vane y sigue espiándola, descubre que tiene una relación con su amigo y excompañero en la ambulancia, aquel que estaba conduciendo la noche del accidente, además, espera un hijo de él, esto simplemente hace que Ángel saque su psicópata oculto dentro de su mente.

Luego idea un plan perverso para secuestrar a su antigua novia, manipulándola hasta llegar al su casa, luego de inyectarle sedantes este la amarra a la cama, dejando la música alta para que no escuchen sus gritos, sin embargo, Ángel espera volver a ganar su afecto de esta manera, le cocina y le cuida mientras está amarrada a la cama, además, le inyecta una anestesia especial para adormecer sus piernas, eso le haría más difícil escapar, además, tendría que utilizar silla de ruedas al igual que Ángel.

Vemos como el vecino se acerca debido a que escuchó unos gritos y está seguro que son de Vane, sin embargo, Ángel logra convencerle para que se vaya, desafortunadamente para el vecino días después vuelve a escuchar, ante su insistencia Ángel le hace pasar y cuando está distraído lo apuñala hasta asesinarlo, le paga a su viejo amigo, aquel el que le compraba los relojes robados para deshacerse del cuerpo.

Poco después la policía toca la puerta de Ángel, le hacen preguntas sobre Vanesa y Ricardo, si sabía de esa relación y cuando fue la última vez que pudo ver a alguno de los dos, mientras esta escena trascurre podemos ver pequeños flashes sobre como Ángel, irrumpió en la casa de Ricardo e hizo parecer que se había suicidado con una sobre dosis, lo cual pudo hacer luego de haberlo sedado y básicamente envenenarlo, lo curioso es que a final de cuentas la policía no da con que Ricardo fue asesinado por Ángel.

En una escena Ángel le permite a Vane bañarse, puesto que tiene fiebre, mientras ella se encuentra en el baño toma un cortaúñas y lo esconde, mientras Ángel va a la farmacia por medicamento ella logra cortar las cuerdas que la mantienen atada a la cama, logra salir del departamento con mucha dificultad y en el pasillo se encuentra con Ángel, ambos luchan y Ángel cae por las escaleras, una caída que al momento se piensa que había muerto.

Final

Ángel sobrevive a la estrepitosa caída, sin embargo, ahora su condición motora es más complicada, ya no puede moverse en lo absoluto, ni siquiera hablar, este se encuentra en un centro médico y Vane decide llevárselo, la cara de susto de Ángel es causada por la probable venganza que le producirá su exnovia.

Análisis del Final

Analizando el final podemos decir a que a Ángel no se le imputó ningún cargo por la muerte de Vicente, el vecino que asesino en primer lugar y tampoco se le atribuye la muerte de Ricardo, además, al parecer Vane no lo denuncia, si fuese este el caso no podría llevárselo como si nada del centro médico donde aparece Ángel al final de la película. Un caso que no tuvo justicia judicial sin embargo la justicia divina o karma sí que estuvo presente.

Esta película presenta una trama de suspenso, sin embargo, el suspenso o las sorpresas en realidad son limitados. El espectador se mantiene entretenido por la historia, no se le puede reprochar nada a la actuación de Mario Casas, sin embargo, pienso que la película es un poco predecible en varios aspectos, es por esa razón que le coloco la calificación anteriormente mostrada.
