He decidido terminar de ver la temporada completa para realizar un análisis completo de la serie The Last of Us, si bien esta serie se puede analizar desde el inicio y en el desarrollo de la misma, la valoración de una serie puede cambiar en los últimos minuto, al menos ese es mi caso. Es una serie que tanto ha dado de que hablar, pero que ha concluido y ahora es momento de escribir mis opiniones.
Puede decir inmediatamente que desde el principio, supe que sería de las mejores adaptaciones de un videojuego en una serie, así como lo he mencionado en innumerables ocasiones, llevar un videojuego a la pantalla es un trabajo sumamente difícil, sobre todo, porque la trama debe ir por el mismo hilo argumental y la lógica debe seguir a la del videojuego, es un trabajo que ha dejado un sinfín de decepciones, sin embargo, podemos decir que The Last of Us es de lo mejor en ese renglón y que definitivamente otorga entretenimiento tanto a los que se han familiarizado con el videojuego como a los que ni tenían idea de su existencia hasta esta serie.
Sinopsis:
El hongo llamado cordyceps muta para alojarse en el cerebro humano, tomando el control total de las funciones corporales y buscando expandirse, estos nuevos zombis acaban con la sociedad tal como la conocemos, siendo la supervivencia el mayor de los obstáculos en el apocalipsis la sociedad se transforma en un mundo sin ley ni orden.
Análisis de la Serie.
Debo comenzar diciendo que me gustan las historias de zombis, sin embargo, entiendo que no a todos les gusta, esta serie logra reunir tanto a los fans de los zombis como a los que los odian por ser un símbolo cliché de la industria cinematográfica, otorgándole el protagonismo a los humanos en lugar de a los zombis.
Este es uno de los aspectos más atrayentes dentro de la estructura del argumento, una serie de zombis donde los verdaderos antagonistas terminan siendo los demás sobrevivientes que hacen de todo para poder seguir con vida, esto es sin dudas un enfoque fresco y atrayente para esta producción, tener una gran horda de zombis, pero que finalmente se utilizan en máximo 4 escenas a lo largo de los 9 episodios, cuando en las clásicas películas de los muertos vivientes las hordas son las reales protagonistas de las secuencias.
Esta nueva manera de abordar un apocalipsis zombi le otorga a la trama un buen toque de realidad, ya que al momento de un gran desastre, los verdaderos problemas los tendremos con otros humanos, por lo que inmediatamente el argumento nos atrapa, nos mantiene atentos y esa atención se sostiene hasta el último segundo de la serie.
¿Hasta dónde es capaz de llegar un humano para sobrevivir?
El filme nos muestra una sociedad distorsionada en función a intereses de pequeños grupos que, como es de costumbre, ansían el poder y el control total de las personas que quedan en una región, el uso de la fuerza es quizás lo más generalizado y la serie contempla esas decisiones de líderes y organizaciones para establecer lo que se podría decir un "orden".
A pesar de que la serie se encamina hacia esa temática social tan interesante, no se sumerge completamente en ella, debido a que no se adentra en los horrores que puede causar la humanidad, por supuesto, posee una tonalidad que ayuda a sostener esa sensación de intriga y al mismo ser una serie donde una amplia sección del público puede ver.
Episodios
Algo que es muy interesante de esta serie es la construcción de los episodios, si bien tenemos una línea argumental en donde se va construyendo la trama, los episodios tienen tiempo de crear sus propias historias secundarias, normalmente observamos esa construcción en muchas series a lo que denominamos coloquialmente "relleno", podríamos decir que ese "relleno" que observamos en algunos episodios es sencillamente estupendo.
Se crean historias con introducción, desarrollo y desenlace en el mismo episodio de con una narrativa y un ritmo que nos mantiene enganchados a la pantalla, de hecho, uno de mis episodios favoritos es un relleno, es decir, que si decidía no ver ese episodio la podía entender la trama en su totalidad, sin embargo, nos regala un episodio increíble con muchos aspectos positivos para analizar.
Episodio 3
Este episodio es el que representa el mejor ejemplo de lo que digo en el párrafo anterior, aunque no lo veamos, entenderemos toda la trama debidas porque no hay secuencia de los protagonistas, sin embargo, crean una buena historia con un excelente inicio, excelente desarrollo y un estupendo final, desde un punto de vista narrativo, a mi parecer es el mejor episodio de la serie.
No Forzado
En innumerables producciones, hemos visto como la inclusión puede ser forzada y dañar el desarrollo de la trama, en este caso no se siente eso, es una historia con inclusión efectiva acompañada por personajes memorables, es realmente una pieza en donde muchos guionistas pueden tomar nota sobre la realización de una hermosa historia inclusiva armoniosa desde su narrativa.
El Final
Evidentemente, no voy a hacer spoiler sobre el final de la serie, sin embargo, así como lo mencioné anteriormente, una buena serie siempre debe ir acompañada de un final acorde y satisfactorio para sus espectadores y desde mi humilde opinión, estas condiciones se cumplen en The Last of Us.
Nos presenta un final distinto al tradicional moralista que nos ha acompañado por muchas generaciones, todo apunta a una decisión final, en donde se puede colocar en una balanza la mera posibilidad de un bien común o el bien individual. Es un juego que nos coloca a pensar ¿Qué hubiera hecho yo?, una situación realmente difícil que muchas producciones han logrado plasmar en la pantalla, en ese sentido, me ha gustado la resolución sobre el final de esta serie.

Es una serie de zombis donde los antagonistas son los humanos, una narrativa fresca que seguramente le abrirá puertas a otras producciones sobre sociedades postapocalípticas en donde esas pequeñas organizaciones sedientas de poder serán el foco principal, además, de aquellos que hagan de todo por poder seguir respirando.
Esta es una muy buena serie desde muchos aspectos, desde lo narrativo, hasta en efectos especiales, ambientación e incluso fotografía, es un trabajo bastante completo que seguramente muchos de los espectadores disfrutará.
¿La Recomiendo?
Sí, aunque seguramente en este punto ya muchos la habrá visto, es una serie que vale la pena ver, aunque algunos episodios con mejores que otros (como en toda serie) se lleva un buen ritmo y siempre se mantiene el deseo de seguir viendo, aspecto importante de para este tipo de producciones. La recomiendo completamente.

Series Analysis.
I must start by saying that I like zombie stories, however, I understand that not everyone likes them, this series manages to bring together both zombie fans and those who hate them for being a cliché symbol of the film industry, giving the spotlight to humans rather than zombies.
This is one of the most appealing aspects within the structure of the plot, a zombie series where the real antagonists end up being the other survivors who do everything to stay alive, this is undoubtedly a fresh and appealing approach for this production, having a large horde of zombies, but which are finally used in a maximum of 4 scenes throughout the 9 episodes, when in the classic undead films the hordes are the real protagonists of the sequences.
This new way of approaching a zombie apocalypse gives the plot a good touch of reality, since at the moment of a great disaster, the real problems will be with other humans, so the plot immediately grabs us, keeps us attentive and that attention is sustained until the last second of the series.
How far is a human capable of going to survive?
The film shows us a society distorted by the interests of small groups that, as usual, crave power and total control of the people left in a region, the use of force is perhaps the most widespread and the series contemplates these decisions of leaders and organisations to establish what could be called an "order".
Although the series moves towards this interesting social theme, it does not fully immerse itself in it, as it does not delve into the horrors that can be caused by humanity, of course, it has a tonality that helps to sustain that sense of intrigue and at the same time be a series that a wide section of the audience can watch.
Episodes
Something that is very interesting about this series is the construction of the episodes, although we have a plot line where the plot is built, the episodes have time to create their own secondary stories, normally we observe that construction in many series to what we call colloquially "filler", we could say that this "filler" that we observe in some episodes is simply great.
Stories are created with introduction, development and denouement in the same episode with a narrative and a rhythm that keeps us hooked to the screen, in fact, one of my favourite episodes is a filler, that is to say, if I decided not to watch that episode I could understand the plot in its totality, however, it gives us an incredible episode with many positive aspects to analyse.

This episode is the one that represents the best example of what I say in the previous paragraph, even if we do not see it, we will understand the whole plot because there is no sequence of the protagonists, however, they create a good story with an excellent beginning, excellent development and a great ending, from a narrative point of view, in my opinion it is the best episode of the series.
Unforced
In countless productions, we have seen how inclusion can be forced and damage the development of the plot, in this case it does not feel that way, it is a story with effective inclusion accompanied by memorable characters, it is really a piece where many screenwriters can take note on the realization of a beautiful inclusive story harmonious from its narrative.
The Ending
Obviously, I'm not going to spoil the ending of the series, however, as I mentioned before, a good series must always be accompanied by an ending that is in line with and satisfying for its viewers, and in my humble opinion, these conditions are met in The Last of Us.
It presents us with an ending different from the traditional moralistic one that has accompanied us for many generations, everything points to a final decision, where the mere possibility of the common good or the individual good can be placed in the balance. It is a game that makes us think: What would I have done, a really difficult situation that many productions have managed to capture on the screen, in that sense, I liked the resolution of the end of this series.

Yes, although surely at this point many have already seen it, it is a series worth watching, although some episodes are better than others (as in any series) it has a good pace and always keeps the desire to keep watching, an important aspect for this type of productions. I highly recommend it.
