Hola Hivers amantes de las películas y series, en esta oportunidad quiero comentar mi impresión sobre una película que ya tiene varios años desde su lanzamiento, sin embargo, no la había visto. Muchas veces tenemos el tipo de situaciones en que dentro de conversación familiar o con amigos se discute sobre una película y nosotros quedamos como en otro planeta por no haberla visto, ese fue mi caso con esta producción cinematográfica así que decidí verla ya que parecía que era el único de la familia que lo la había visto. La película se llama la habitación.
Esta es una película que podemos disfrutar en la plataforma de Netflix, así como ya lo había mencionado es estrenada en el año 2015, se puede decir que es una película del genero de drama, incluso es basada en una novela escrita por la escritora irlandés llamada Emma Donoghue en el año 2010, sin embargo, es una película que se adentra más en el área de la psicología debido a las implicaciones o consecuencias de toda la historia que nos cuenta la película.
Tal vez un punto desfavorable de esta película es que la trama o la historia es algo sencilla, es inevitable conseguir spoilers tanto en la sinopsis e incluso en el tráiler debido a que la trama presenta pocas sorpresas en su desarrollo, por otro lado la película tiene un efecto emocional importante en el espectador, tratando de entender la situación desde un punto de vista más psicológico ese es el punto fuerte de la película. En mi caso básicamente ya me sabía la historia antes de ver la película, sin embargo, me pareció de buena calidad debido a las sensaciones o emociones que puede transmitir fuera de la pantalla.
Argumento
La historia se basa en un secuestro ocurrido hace años, una joven en cautiverio violada por su captor que concibe un hijo en una pequeña habitación con apenas lo necesario para sobrevivir, sin ventanas y solo un tragaluz en el techo les ha luz de día. El niño es criado en ese ambiente de cautiverio sin salir ni conocer el mundo fuera de esas cuatro pareces, su mundo es reducido a unos pocos metros cuadrados durante toda su vida.
Es una trama bastante interesante y solo leer la sinopsis causa curiosidad con un poco de sentimiento, pero además de la trama que hay que prestar atención a los detalles en cuanto a la psicología tanto del niño como de la madre encerrados sin saber lo que ocurre en el exterior.
Crianza
Me parece algo realmente notable dentro de contexto de la película es como la madre cría a su hijo, tratando siempre de mantenerse cuerda y con estabilidad emocional a pesar de la situación adversa para lograr transmitirle tranquilidad al niño. Observamos que dentro de esa pequeña habitación realizan diferentes actividades como ejercicios lo que explicaría que sus músculos no estén tan atrofiados, además, el niño es muy inteligente, puede leer, razonar y en nuestra primera impresión es de un niño normal y sano, sin dudas esta madre tuvo que realizar un extenso trabajo para tener al niño cuerdo, sano y feliz en ese mundo.
Para tener una estabilidad emocional y ocultarle la oscura verdad de su situación la madre le miente al hijo diciéndole que el mar, el pasto y todo lo que observa en una pequeña televisión en realidad no existe, solo existe ese pequeño cuarto en el que el niño vive hasta cumplir los 5 años.
Si sentimos en alguna ocasión un desbalance emocional ocasionado por la pandemia mundial, tal vez esta película nos ayude a ver y apreciar las cosas pequeñas y la libertad que tenemos sobre todo teniendo en cuenta a nuestros hijos. Es algo que no cabe en la cabeza de cualquier persona el pensar vivir en un pequeño cuarto durante 5 años, menos entrar en la mente del pequeño niño el cual su mundo es tan reducido.
Etapas de la Película
En esta producción notamos que la trama se divide en dos grandes segmentos, dentro de la pequeña habitación mostrando como vive la madre y su hijo durante tanto tiempo y fuera de la habitación luego de idear un estupendo plan para salir, un plan que funcionó gracias a la inteligencia del pequeño niño sumado a la astucia del cuerpo policial.
Casi que es otra película luego de que salen de la habitación, los problemas psicológicos salen a la superficie producto del cautiverio afectando incluso más en la mama que en el niño. Incluso notamos el duro golpe psicológico en el niño cuando un psicólogo le pide al pequeño que dibuje, para el espectador detallista notará una pequeña grieta en su salud psicológica entendible a todo lo que pasó el niño y todo lo que descubre en poco tiempo teniendo en cuenta que pensaba que el mundo terminaba en las cuatro paredes de la habitación.
La madre sufre bastante debido a que su secuestro ocurrió cuando era muy joven perdiendo parte de su juventud en esa pequeña habitación, incluso en lo particular pienso que al nacer el niño le otorgó motivos para vivir y para superar los obstáculos psicológicos dentro de la habitación.
Algo bastante impactante pero que no es algo que escaparía de la realidad es que el niño empieza a extrañar la habitación, por momentos le pregunta a su madre sí podrían regresar a dormir en la cama de la habitación en donde había dormido durante toda su vida, entendiendo que psicológicamente no se había despegado del lugar y se sentía más seguro estando allí que en el mundo exterior.

Opinión
Me parece una película cuyo desarrollo de la trama es algo básico, me hubiera gustado ver más sorpresas y un poco más de suspenso en la película, esta producción recorre una línea argumental muy predecible, solo teniendo como base el interés sobre la historia que estamos viendo.
En lo particular pienso que a pesar de que la trama no ayuda en cuanto a una distinción a esta película la historia que se cuenta es el pilar para generar el interés, ya en su argumento dentro de la sinopsis crea curiosidad y al ver las escenas hace que el sentimiento o el drama psicológico sobrepase la pantalla. Son los detalles en esta película los nos colocan en los en los zapatos de los personajes.
Como padre veo la vida de manera distinta, esta película tal vez en otra etapa de mi vida no me hubiese gustado para nada, sin embargo, tener la experiencia de tener un hijo hace que la película sea más emotiva. En mi caso la vi con mi esposa y mientras ella lloraba en algunas escenas y yo me hacia el fuerte, en algunos casos se me hacía un pequeño nudo en la garganta por tratar de entender a los personajes.
En conclusión me parece que es una película que transmite emociones y ese es su punto fuerte, su trama tal vez no ayuda pero entender la psicología y los hechos hacen que se convierta en una película interesante en base a su historia de secuestro. Tal vez muchos pensaran distintos pero todos sentimos o reaccionamos de diferente manera ante este tipo de películas, en mi caso me ha agradado la película y en mi familia la crítica general sobre esta producción cinematográfica es positiva.
Si buscan una película emotiva basada en la relación madre e hijo, esta es una muy buena opción para disfrutar en Netfix, es importante tener en cuenta los pequeños detalles en la historia y en las escenas para disfrutar de esta película, si muchas sorpresas lo más interesante es el valor de la historia y el efecto psicológico de los personajes además de las emociones que se sienten al verla.

Many times we have the kind of situations in which in a family conversation or with friends a movie is discussed and we are like in another planet for not having seen it, that was my case with this film production so I decided to watch it since it seemed that I was the only one in the family who had seen it. The movie is called The Room
This is a movie that we can enjoy on the Netflix platform, as I had already mentioned it is released in 2015, it can be said that it is a film of the drama genre, it is even based on a novel written by the Irish writer named Emma Donoghue in 2010, however, it is a film that delves more into the area of psychology due to the implications or consequences of the whole story that the film tells us.

It is quite an interesting plot and just reading the synopsis causes curiosity with a bit of sentiment, but besides the plot you have to pay attention to the details regarding the psychology of both the child and the mother locked up without knowing what is going on outside.

It seems to me something really remarkable within the context of the film is how the mother raises her child, always trying to stay sane and emotionally stable despite the adverse situation in order to convey tranquility to the child. We observe that inside that small room they perform different activities such as exercises which would explain that his muscles are not so atrophied, in addition, the child is very intelligent, can read, reason and in our first impression is of a normal and healthy child, no doubt this mother had to do extensive work to have a sane, healthy and happy child in that world.
In order to have emotional stability and to hide the dark truth of her situation, the mother lies to her son telling him that the sea, the grass and everything he sees on a small television does not really exist, there is only that small room in which the child lives until he is 5 years old.
If we ever feel an emotional imbalance caused by the global pandemic, perhaps this film will help us to see and appreciate the little things and the freedom we have, especially with our children in mind. It is something that does not fit into anyone's head to think of living in a small room for 5 years, let alone enter the mind of a small child whose world is so small.
Stages of the Movie
In this production we notice that the plot is divided into two major segments, inside the small room showing how the mother and child live for so long and outside the room after devising a great plan to get out, a plan that worked thanks to the intelligence of the little boy coupled with the cunning of the police force.
It's almost like another movie after they leave the room, the psychological problems come to the surface due to the captivity affecting even more the mother than the child. We even notice the hard psychological blow to the child when a psychologist asks the little boy to draw, for the detailed viewer will notice a small crack in his psychological health understandable to everything the child went through and everything he discovers in a short time considering that he thought the world ended in the four walls of the room.

It seems to me a film whose plot development is somewhat basic, I would have liked to see more surprises and a little more suspense in the film, this production runs a very predictable plot line, only having as a basis the interest in the story we are seeing.
In particular I think that although the plot does not help in terms of a distinction to this film the story that is told is the pillar to generate interest, already in its plot within the synopsis creates curiosity and seeing the scenes makes the feeling or psychological drama overtake the screen. It is the details in this film that put us in the shoes of the characters.
As a father I see life differently, maybe in another stage of my life I would not have liked this movie at all, however, having the experience of having a child makes the movie more emotional. In my case, I saw it with my wife and while she cried in some scenes and I played hard, in some cases I got a little lump in my throat trying to understand the characters.
In conclusion I think it is a film that conveys emotions and that is its strong point, its plot may not help but understanding the psychology and facts make it an interesting film based on its kidnapping story. Maybe many will think differently but we all feel or react differently to this kind of movies, in my case I liked the movie and in my family the general review about this film production is positive.
If you are looking for an emotional movie based on the mother and son relationship, this is a very good option to enjoy on Netflix, it is important to take into account the small details in the story and in the scenes to enjoy this movie, if many surprises the most interesting thing is the value of the story and the psychological effect of the characters in addition to the emotions you feel when watching it.
