Hola, amantes de las películas y series, hace muy poco decidimos mi esposa y yo salir al cine, es algo que siempre deseamos hacer, salir de la rutina y disponernos a disfrutar una película frente a la gran pantalla. En muchas ocasiones decidimos ir al centro comercial sin antes ver lo que se encuentra disponible para ver en el cine, decidimos ver Ambulancia, película que comenzaría inmediatamente luego de adquirir los boletos, a penas pudimos comprar las cotufas y el refresco, al entrar ya la enorme pantalla mostraba los tráileres de otras películas, cuando nos sentamos justo comienza la película que llevamos a ver, justo a tiempo.
Esta es una película estadounidense que cuenta con más de dos horas de metraje, es un remake de una película danesa del 2005 que nos sumerge en una mezcla de acción con un poco de drama hasta lograr convertirse en un Thriller, es una película de persecuciones o del subgénero Road Movie.
Es un film dirigido por un director que a mi juicio es bastante talentoso. Michael Bay, es de esos directores que en su filmografía posee buenos éxitos, pero también en algunos casos sus películas no llegan a sobresalir, si no te suena el nombre de este director quizás recuerdes películas como Armageddon, Bad Boys, Pearl Harbor o la saga de Transformers. Un repertorio bastante decente para un director, pero que también se caracteriza por llevar acción a las pantallas y en muchos casos un toque de drama o romance en sus películas.
Sinopsis:
Will Sharp es un ex militar con apuros económicos, debe buscar dinero para un proceso medico experimental para su esposa, acude a su hermano de crianza Danny en búsqueda de alguna oportunidad de recaudar algo de dinero, su hermano adoptivo le ofrece el dinero suficiente y mucho más del que necesita si acepta la misión de atracar un banco, un plan que se sale de control luego del secuestro de una ambulancia con una paramédicos y un policía dentro.

Confieso que no soy un férreo amante de las películas Road Movie, en muchos casos me parecen tediosas, sobre todo las que poseen un metraje amplio, desde mi perspectiva las películas de este subgénero deben contener una estructura argumental y una narrativa organizada para mantener la atención del espectador, aunque en muchos caso no es suficiente y es necesario que la buena acción se encuentre presente en el film para que el espectador quede totalmente enganchado a la película, jugar con el espacio limitado dentro de un automóvil es esencial para este tipo de producciones, un aspecto que le añade algo de dificultad, pienso que es muy difícil lograr buenas películas “Road Movie”, dicho eso, confieso que no tenia muy altas las expectativas con respecto a este film.
Ritmo
La introducción es corta en comparación a las más de dos horas de duración del film, nos introduce inmediatamente en un drama que asienta el argumento sobre uno de los protagonistas, las razones, por la cual termina aceptando la peligrosa misión a pesar de sus bases morales. Luego de esta pequeña introducción el film comienza a subir el ritmo, este comienza hacer escaladas interesantes, en combinación con buenos movimientos de cámara termina por atrapar al espectador.
El ritmo vertiginoso se sostiene en gran parte de la película, es para mí, el aspecto más resaltante de este film, combina buenas escenas de persecución con una sucesión de problemas que deben atravesar lo protagonistas, podemos notar incluso que la comedia tiene su aparición a cuenta gotas, sin embargo, es visible su presencia en el film.
Esta consecución de problemas ayuda al argumento a mantener ese ritmo trepidante en la película, notaremos que la misma historia nos hace llegar a un Thriller, una historia que por momentos se sale un poco de la lógica y que también se introduce en rasgos psicológicos de los protagonistas.
Persecución
Observaremos una interesante persecución, buenas tomas aéreas, helicópteros y todo lo que lleva a cabo una super persecución en una ciudad gigantesca como lo es Los Ángeles, un conductor habilidoso y muchos choques y explosiones de sus autos perseguidores.
Acción
Además de la acción y la adrenalina que puede producir la persecución misma, también hay escenas de disparos al estilo SWAT, incluso añadiendo algunas escenas con heridas abiertas y sangre, en lo particular pienso que fue algo positivo añadir este tipo de secuencias a la historia.
A mi parecer la película cumple con esa dosis de acción, he incluso llega más allá con situaciones que no esperábamos ver dentro de una persecución, es una interesante apuesta por una acción que comienza siendo escandalosa pero luego se sostiene en la persecución en un altibajo de emociones y situaciones que se van añadiendo problemas a los protagonistas.
Actuaciones
En lo particular pienso que la actuación de Jake Gyllenhaal es buena y creo que Eiza González también le otorga un buen toque femenino a la trama, sin embargo, el protagonista interpretado por Yahya Abdul-Mateen II es el que no me termina de convencer, un personaje que no termina por definirse o evolucionar, indeciso, torpe, solo con una extraordinaria habilidad de conducción, un guion que es sostenido por los otros actores, aunque ayudados por ese ritmo trepidante de la trama.
El Sello Americano
Para mí es inevitable escribir sobre esa moralidad en que se introduce la película, partiendo de una injusticia se realiza una injusticia aun más elevada, el dinero es el que empuja las decisiones y en ocasiones me molesta algunas películas en que se trate como héroes aquellos que simplemente limpian “un poco” su propio desastre. En esta película se introduce ese sello de las películas norteamericanas donde el dinero es el objetivo principal.

Tenía algo de tiempo si ver este tipo de películas, creo que me ha sorprendido de grata manera este film de un subgénero que pienso que es muy difícil de desarrollar, aunque tiene fallos y no es perfecta logra sumergir al espectador en la acción, por momentos dejaremos la lógica a un lado para sentir ese ritmo vertiginoso y sostenido que posee el film. Creo que es la mejor Road Movie que he visto en varios meses.
A pesar de que algunos personajes no terminan de convencer y otros parecen ser introducidos a la fuerza, la película cuenta con la dosis de entretenimiento que esperamos, siendo quizás un limitante para varios espectadores el metraje del film, sin embargo, en líneas generales me ha gustado y pude verla de principio a fin.

Si, hay buena acción, buenos movimientos de cámaras, buenas escenas de persecución y lo que esperamos ver de esta película se cumple. Es un film que cuya acción y sucesión de problemas hace envolver al espectador de buena manera incluso por más de dos horas, un ritmo que en lo particular disfruté y creo para los amantes de la acción conseguirán atractivo. La recomiendo abiertamente.
