Uno de mis temas favoritos es lo que tenga que ver con el tiempo, conocer esta película tan solo desde el póster hace mi atención sea atraída a ella, este no es un filme nuevo y he visto muchas reseñas de esta película en esta comunidad, también es una película bastante comentada fuera de Hive, incluso entre mis amigos y familiares también debaten sobre este filme, Old.
La primera ve que supe de este filme, fue en esta comunidad y en el comentario recuerdo escribir que me interesaba, me parecía una historia realmente atractiva, sin embargo, no se encontraba en los servicios de streaming que tenía en aquel momento, así que no la vi inmediatamente. Al pasar el tiempo otros usuarios reseñaron este mismo filme, noté que las opiniones estaban divididas, había usuarios que no les agradó y a otros si, teniendo en cuenta esta división de opiniones, la deje pasar, ya que no estaba totalmente motivado a verla y analizarla.
En mi familia y hablando con unos amigos, el tema de este filme se puso sobre la mesa, noté que al porcentaje más amplio en ese momento no les gustó el filme, algunos lo catalogaron como una “pérdida de tiempo”, para mí, es la clasificación más baja que un espectador le puede otorgar a un filme, ya que todos deseamos entretenernos y disfrutar de una buena experiencia. Algunos pocos les pareció interesante, así que me despertó nuevamente la curiosidad, pocas veces exististe una conversación por un filme en el cual no doy mi opinión, así que era momento de verla, analizarla y decirle a todos mi veredicto según mi gusto propio.
Sinopsis:
Unas vacaciones familiares en una playa aparentemente normal esconden un oscuro secreto, el tiempo en ese lugar paradisíaco transita más mucho rápido, una anomalía en el tiempo que percatarán debido a los cambios en su cuerpo en cuestión de minutos, todos deben salir del lugar antes de que el tiempo se les agote y perezcan de longevidad.
Análisis de la Película
Si bien la propuesta es muy interesante y me atrevo a decir que es lo principal que impulsa a los espectadores, por otro lado, podemos analizar este filme desde dos puntos de vista que trabajan en la mente del espectador, lo que puede marcar la diferencia en cuanto a la valoración final de cada persona. Deseo opinar desde un punto de vista emocional y desde un punto de vista lógico. ¡Comencemos!
Punto de vista en cuanto a emociones
La historia que se nos propone es atractiva y emocionante, de a poco la película nos lleva a sentir suspenso e intriga, no sabemos cuándo comenzará esa anomalía temporal a notarse en sus cuerpos, tampoco sabemos cómo reaccionará todo en el conjunto de personajes que se disponen a descansar en esa particular playa, la introducción me parece correcta para ir sintiendo ese impulso en las emociones que posteriormente nos propone el filme, presentando tanto a la familia principal como a otros acompañantes.
El Miedo al Tiempo
El aspecto principal en el que la película estructura su argumento es en ese miedo implícito en nosotros, el tiempo avanza inexorablemente y todos somos testigos del cambio que ocurre en nuestros cuerpos, por otro lado, nuestro tiempo es limitado, saber que cada día envejecemos y que algún día nuestro tiempo se agotará hace que sintamos temor por ese momento, no saber lo que ocurrirá o lo que sentiremos, provoca que pensar extendidamente sobre este inevitable acontecimiento hace que nuestro ritmo cardiaco se acelere, somos sensibles al miedo a la muerte y a lo desconocido, por lo cual, acelerar este proceso en el tiempo hace que ese miedo sea las bases del filme.
Mientras avanza el tiempo, vamos observando los cambios en los personajes, esto hace que se sienta el suspenso y la intriga, los personajes no pueden salir del lugar, así que el miedo a lo inevitable aparece y juega un rol importante desde este punto de vista emocional, el filme también presenta esa sensación de que no hay escapatoria aumentando así la intriga y al mismo tiempo el miedo al tiempo.
Valorar el Tiempo
Otro aspecto emocional que toca el filme es sobre la percepción y el valor del tiempo que normalmente no apreciamos como es debido. Los momentos junto a aquellos familiares que amamos, el saber que en algún momento no estarán presentes junto a nosotros, saber que existen momentos únicos e irrepetibles en nuestra vida junto a esas personas, esto lo abarca el filme.
En la película hay algunos niños, y en algunos segmentos de desesperación mencionan que les falta muchos recuerdos, graduación, bailes, aventuras que probablemente nunca obtendrán por estar en esa playa y viéndolo desde un punto de vista emocional es algo que sensibiliza al espectador sobre esta historia y ese mensaje sobre el tiempo.
Como amante de los temas del tiempo, pienso que la película presenta una propuesta bastante emocionante, sin embargo, debemos ver todo desde un punto de vista lógico para tener un mejor panorama del filme.
Punto de Vista Lógico
Además, de ser amante de este tipo de temas también me enfoco en su lógica, muchas películas, por no decir la mayoría fracasa al presentar una lógica creíble, es costumbre saltarse algunas cuantas leyes de la naturaleza o no estar en sincronía con sus propios hechos, para presentar coherencia en su argumento, este filme no escapa de eso, esta falta de lógica en algunos segmentos, como también algunas interpretaciones del personaje pueden ser las bases de los aspectos negativos que tanto se han criticado sobre esta película.
Lo primero que se preguntarán los espectadores es ¿Cómo se formó esta anomalía temporal?, ¿Por qué solo ocurre en esa playa?, si bien estas preguntas son abordadas en el filme, no nos presentan una respuesta sólida desde un punto de vista lógico, simplemente ajustaron la interesante historia, pero sin fundamentos suficientes para convencer a los espectadores, por supuesto, no es un trabajo fácil, sin embargo, es muy notorio esa falta de lógica en muchos aspectos.
Otro aspecto que no puedo dejar de pensar es en el organismo de las personas, en esa playa, podemos notar que el tiempo avanza en sus cuerpos, sin embargo, convenientemente su metabolismo sigue siendo prácticamente el mismo, aunque otras funciones corporales si responden al avance del tiempo propuesto por el filme, incluso en la cicatrización de heridas que se observa que ocurre de manera inmediata.
Otro aspecto que debieron pensar los productores es el cómo convencer a los espectadores de que ellos no pueden salir de la playa, y esa respuesta tampoco es que es abordada con un argumento sólido y totalmente racional.
Si me enfoco en este punto de vista racional solamente, veo que existen aspectos negativos tanto en la lógica como en la construcción de la trama, existen diálogos y situaciones que no aprovechan totalmente la historia y esto juega en contra, ya que, desde un principio, los espectadores llegan impresionados por el póster y la sinopsis, adquieren expectativas altas que la trama no les hace cumplir en su totalidad.

Me agrada el tema del tiempo y eso es un punto a favor a nivel personal, además, me gustaron algunos segmentos donde el suspenso y ese miedo al tiempo hacen su aparición, incluso el mensaje que otorga es agradable, sin embargo, no es un film totalmente correcto desde un punto de vista lógico y que por momentos puede llegar a ser ridículo para algunos espectadores.
Sé que llevar este tipo de historias por un carril lógico satisfactorio es una misión extremadamente difícil, sobre todo, al llevarlo a un escenario cotidiano y normal como lo es una playa, por esa razón, entiendo que el filme se enfocara más en aspectos relacionados con emociones dejando por fuera algunos aspectos lógicos, aunque pienso que incluso los diálogos y personajes no aprovechan en su totalidad la interesante propuesta del filme.

Si la recomiendo, siempre y cuando el tema sea interesante y que el espectador sepa que el aspecto emocional se sobrepone al lógico, dejarse llevar es necesario para disfrutar del filme sin muchos cuestionamientos, dicho esto, me parece un buen filme con algunos puntos negativos, pero que desde mi gusto personal la balanza se inclina en una dirección positiva, no pienso que sea una pérdida de tiempo, la recomiendo.

A few found it interesting, so it piqued my curiosity again, rarely do you have a conversation for a film in which I don't give my opinion, so it was time to watch it, analyse it and tell everyone my verdict according to my own taste.

While the proposal is very interesting and I dare say that it is the main thing that drives the viewers, on the other hand, we can analyse this film from two points of view that work in the mind of the viewer, which can make a difference in terms of the final assessment of each person. I want to give my opinion from an emotional point of view and from a logical point of view. Let's start!
Emotional point of view
The story that is proposed to us is attractive and exciting, little by little the film takes us to feel suspense and intrigue, we don't know when that temporal anomaly will begin to be noticed in their bodies, neither do we know how everything will react in the group of characters that are ready to rest in that particular beach, the introduction seems to me correct to go feeling that impulse in the emotions that later the film proposes to us, presenting so much to the principal family as to other companions.

Besides, being a lover of this kind of themes I also focus on its logic, many films, if not most of them fail to present a credible logic, it is customary to skip a few laws of nature or not to be in sync with its own facts, to present coherence in its plot, this film does not escape from that, this lack of logic in some segments, as well as some interpretations of the character can be the basis of the negative aspects that have been criticised so much about this film.
The first thing that the viewers will ask themselves is: How was this temporal anomaly formed, why does it only happen on that beach, although these questions are addressed in the film, we are not presented with a solid answer from a logical point of view, they simply adjusted the interesting story, but without sufficient grounds to convince the viewers, of course, it is not an easy job, however, it is very noticeable that lack of logic in many aspects.
Another aspect that I can't stop thinking about is the organism of the people, on that beach, we can notice that time advances in their bodies, however, conveniently their metabolism remains practically the same, although other bodily functions do respond to the advance of time proposed by the film, even in the healing of wounds, which is observed to occur immediately.
Another aspect that the producers should have thought about is how to convince viewers that they cannot leave the beach, and that response is not addressed with a solid and totally rational argument either.
If I focus on this rational point of view only, I see that there are negative aspects both in the logic and in the construction of the plot, there are dialogues and situations that do not take full advantage of the story and this plays against, since, from the beginning, the viewers arrive impressed by the poster and the synopsis, they acquire high expectations that the plot does not make them fulfil in its totality.

I like the theme of time and that is a plus on a personal level, also, I liked some segments where the suspense and fear of time make their appearance, even the message that gives is nice, however, it is not a totally correct film from a logical point of view and that at times can be ridiculous for some viewers.
I know that to take this type of story through a satisfactory logical lane is an extremely difficult mission, above all, when taking it to an everyday and normal scenario such as a beach, for that reason, I understand that the film focuses more on aspects related to emotions leaving out some logical aspects, although I think that even the dialogues and characters do not take advantage of the interesting proposal of the film in its totality.
Do I recommend it?
Yes I recommend it, as long as the theme is interesting and the viewer knows that the emotional aspect overrides the logical, let yourself go is necessary to enjoy the film without much questioning, that said, I think a good film with some negative points, but from my personal taste the balance tips in a positive direction, I do not think it's a waste of time, I recommend it.
