Hola cinéfilos, un enorme placer escribir para todos ustedes, ha pasado algún tiempo desde la última vez que analice nuevo contenido en Netflix, el cual es uno de los servicios mas importantes de streaming en entretenimiento. Hoy quiero compartir mi opinión personal complementado con un pequeño análisis propio de aspectos que me llamaron la atención sobre una nueva película dentro del catálogo de opciones, la película se llama El Ejército de los Ladrones y si, es la precuela de la película Ejército de los Muertos, a pesar de que Zack Snyder no es el director de esta producción al momento de escribir este post se encuentra en el puesto número uno en el top de popularidad en Netflix.
No puedo negar que para mi es una total sorpresa observar el top de popularidad en Netflix y que Ejército de los Ladrones haya arrasado superando otras producciones, de hecho, le quita el reinado a la serie Juego del Calamar. No me sorprende que se encuentre dentro de este prestigioso top, me sorprende la rapidez en alcanzar el primer puesto lo que a mi parecer se traduce en una buena aceptación en el publico debido a que alcanzó el puesto número uno en tan poco tiempo. No quiero decir que las número uno del top son todas una joyas filmográficas, pero si poseen cierta aceptación en el público.
Ejército de los Muertos Aplastado por la Crítica
Antes de analizar esta película debemos recordar que la critica básicamente aplasto su secuela, se observaban críticas y reseñas totalmente negativas a una producción que a mi parecer si bien no es una obra de arte tampoco significaba una total catástrofe para la industria así como muchos críticos proclamaban en aquel entonces, es por esa razón que me sorprende esta aceptación reflejada en el top de popularidad de Netflix.
Sinopsis:
Ludwing Dieter, el experto en cajas fuertes se unirá a un equipo de ladrones para buscar y abrir las mejores y más legendarias cajas fuertes conocidas, un reto formidable para este cerrajero en esta precuela de Army of the Dead.
Análisis de la Película
Director/Actor
Uno de los aspectos que captó mi atención en esta película es que ciertamente no es dirigida por el famoso director Zack Snyder, es dirigida por el alemán Matthias Scheweigòfer, aunque muchos no podamos pronunciar correctamente este nombre propio su cara nos parecerá conocida, es el actor y protagonista que interpreta a Ludwig Dieter. Algo que respeto y que siempre me parece interesante que el mismo director sea protagonista de la película que esta dirigiendo, me parece sorprendente.
Matthias Scheweigòfer, nos sorprende con esa buena adaptación al personaje que ya conocimos anteriormente en Army of The Dead, pero también realiza una buena dirección en una película que si bien no nos ofrece algo muy innovador o ambicioso creo que en general cumple con otorgar buen entretenimiento.
Una Historia de Robo (Guante Blanco)
En lo particular me agradan las historias sobre robos, sobre todo los que son muy bien planeados y en los que como espectadores nos sentimos atónitos por las maniobras y astucia de los ladrones para cumplir los objetivos. Bajo este argumento se encarrila la película, mostrándonos en un principio algo parecido en esencia al objetivo principal de Army of The Dead que era abrir una caja fuerte dentro de un casino, sin embargo, a pesar de que los objetivos son parecidos la secuencia y el desarrollo de la trama cambian bastante en relación a cada película.
¿Zombis?
Uno de los atractivos principales de Army of The Dead era sin dudas la posibilidad de ver una gran marea de zombis sedientos de sangre y carne humana, sin embargo, es importante señalar que en esta película no tendremos ese tipo de acción basado en un apocalipsis zombi, a pesar de que en la línea de tiempo estos zombis ya se encuentran haciendo de las suyas en las Vegas, no observaremos zombis en esta película, solo por pequeñas fracciones de tiempo en donde se observa canales de noticias o sueños del propio Ludwig Dieter.
Otra diferencia entre estas películas en el mismo universo cinematográfico es la manera en realizar el robo, así como lo mencione en párrafos anteriores, esta trama es basada en robo de guante blanco, es decir, tratando en lo posible en no recurrir a la violencia ni a la utilización de armas de fuego, algo bastante diferente a la primera película, este cambio de estructura en el guión sin dudas fue beneficioso para esta precuela.
Las Cajas Fuertes
Otro aspecto que a mi parecer es positivo es las historias detrás de esas famosas cajas fuertes que son el objetivo de la película, una historia bastante interesante y basada en la mitología nórdica pero con una explicación apasionada por parte del protagonista, haciendo valorar el arte en diseño y tecnología de estas cajas fuertes.
¿Acción?
No hay mucha acción a pesar de que nos encontramos sumergidos en un universo cinematográfico lleno de zombis y teniendo en cuenta que es una historia de robo, por lo cual el espectador no debe esperar mucha acción en esta película, solo dejarse llevar por la trama la cual me parece bien estructurada.
¿A que Público Apunta Esta Película?
Aunque por algunos pestañeos la película nos presenta algo de acción también ofrece momentos de comedia y romance, además de un poco de tensión a cuenta gotas al momento de presenciar alguna de las legendarias cajas fuertes. Es una mezcla paulatina de géneros pero que no se intensifica y tampoco permite que algún género sobresalga de manera significativa en el desarrollo de la película. Desde mi punto de vista estas características tienen el objetivo de atraer la mayor cantidad de espectadores posibles ya que la película no apunta a un segmento del público en concreto, sino que se esparce con una mezcla minuciosa de géneros para acaparar el mayor número ojos mediante una propuesta bastante comercial y fácil de digerir.

Opinión Final
Esta película es una secuencia que cuya trama no nos presenta algo muy nuevo o muchas sorpresas para hacernos explotar la cabeza, es una película bastante diferente a la de Army of the Dead pero con una propuesta para un público más generalizado que se asimila fácilmente. Es una película con una estructura sencilla pero coherente en su ejecución siendo una película de mas de dos horas podemos pensar que puede tornarse muy aburrida, sin embargo, la película resulta buen entretenimiento para todos.
Teniendo en cuenta las críticas y la recepción de esta nueva película, a muchos les parecerá mejor que Army of the Dead, esto ya quedará a juicio de cada quien al respecto a ambas películas, lo cierto es que la estructura tiene muchos cambios en comparación de cada producción.
¿La Recomiendo?
Si, así como lo he mencionado anteriormente es una producción que no te va a volar la cabeza pero que resulta entretenida a final de cuentas. Me parece que la sencillez en el guión complementado con la historia interesante y una calidad visual de alto nivel, nos proporciona una película fácil de digerir transformándose en un producto comercialmente atractivo hasta cierto punto.

I am not surprised that it is within this prestigious top, I am surprised by the speed in reaching the first position which in my opinion translates into a good acceptance in the public because it reached the number one position in such a short time. I don't want to say that the number one of the top are all film gems, but they do have a certain acceptance in the public.
Army of the Dead Crushed by the Critics
Before analyzing this film we must remember that the critics basically crushed its sequel, totally negative reviews and criticisms were observed to a production that in my opinion although it is not a work of art neither meant a total catastrophe for the industry as well as many critics proclaimed at that time, it is for that reason that I am surprised by this acceptance reflected in the Netflix popularity top.

Film Analysis
Director / Actor.
One of the aspects that caught my attention in this film is that it is certainly not directed by the famous director Zack Snyder, it is directed by the German Matthias Scheweigòfer, although many of us can not pronounce correctly this proper name his face will seem familiar to us, he is the actor and protagonist who plays Ludwig Dieter. Something that I respect and that I always find interesting that the same director is the protagonist of the film he is directing, I find it surprising.
Matthias Scheweigòfer, surprises us with that good adaptation to the character that we already knew previously in Army of The Dead, but also makes a good direction in a film that although it does not offer us something very innovative or ambitious I think that in general it complies with granting good entertainment.

In particular I like stories about robberies, especially those that are very well planned and in which as spectators we feel astonished by the maneuvers and cunning of the thieves to meet the objectives. Under this argument the film is on track, showing us at first something similar in essence to the main objective of Army of The Dead which was to open a safe inside a casino, however, although the objectives are similar the sequence and the development of the plot change quite a lot in relation to each film.
Zombies?
One of the main attractions of Army of The Dead was undoubtedly the possibility of seeing a great tide of zombies thirsty for blood and human flesh, however, it is important to note that in this film we will not have that kind of action based on a zombie apocalypse, although in the timeline these zombies are already doing their thing in Las Vegas, we will not observe zombies in this film, only for small fractions of time where news channels or dreams of Ludwig Dieter himself are observed.
Another difference between these films in the same cinematic universe is the way in which the robbery is carried out, as I mentioned in previous paragraphs, this plot is based on white glove robbery, that is, trying as much as possible not to resort to violence or the use of firearms, something quite different from the first film, this change of structure in the script was undoubtedly beneficial for this prequel.
The Strongboxes
Another aspect that in my opinion is positive is the stories behind those famous safes that are the focus of the film, a very interesting story and based on Norse mythology but with a passionate explanation by the protagonist, making value the art in design and technology of these safes.
Action?
There is not much action despite the fact that we are immersed in a cinematic universe full of zombies and taking into account that it is a story of theft, so the viewer should not expect much action in this film, just get carried away by the plot which seems to me well structured.
What Audience Is This Movie Aimed At?
Although for a few blinks of an eye the film presents us with some action, it also offers moments of comedy and romance, as well as a bit of tension in dribs and drabs when witnessing one of the legendary safes. It is a gradual mix of genres but it does not intensify and does not allow any one genre to stand out significantly in the development of the film. From my point of view these characteristics have the objective of attracting as many viewers as possible since the film does not target a specific audience segment, but spreads with a thorough mix of genres to grab the largest number of eyes through a fairly commercial and easy to digest proposal.

Final Opinion.
This film is a sequence whose plot does not present us with something very new or many surprises to make our heads explode, it is a film quite different from Army of the Dead but with a proposal for a more generalized audience that is easily assimilated. It is a film with a simple structure but coherent in its execution being a film of more than two hours we can think that it can become very boring, however, the film is good entertainment for everyone.
Taking into account the reviews and the reception of this new film, many will find it better than Army of the Dead, this will be up to the judgment of each person with respect to both films, the truth is that the structure has many changes compared to each production.
Do I recommend it?
Yes, just as I mentioned above it's a production that won't blow your mind but is entertaining at the end of the day. It seems to me that the simplicity in the script complemented with the interesting story and a high level visual quality, gives us an easy to digest film becoming a commercially attractive product to a certain extent.
