Hola cinéfilos, hoy quiero apartar este espacio para entrar en el nuevo concurso de la comunidad Movies & TvShows. En esta ocasión especial deseo comentar sobre una excelente saga de películas de acción, de hecho, es de mis favoritas y quiero compartir esa emoción con toda la comunidad, hoy deseo escribir sobre John Wick.
Esta saga de película comienza en el 2014 y culmina en el 2019, sin embargo, para el año 2023 regresará John Wick a la gran pantalla además de una serie llamada The Continental con fecha de estreno para este año, sin dudas, las producciones que ya se han estrenado han captado mucho la atención de los fanáticos del género de acción y así como es mi caso, muchos la tendrán entre esas películas de acción que recordaremos por mucho tiempo.
Sinopsis:
John Wick es atacado por criminales que le despojan todo lo que aprecia y valora, lo que no saben es que es de los mejores asesinos a sueldo y decide volver del retiro para cobrar venganza, hará todo lo posible para hacerlos pagar por sus fechorías.
Esta es la sinopsis donde comienza la historia de John Wick, aquella del 2014, que en un principio pensaba que era “otra película más”, pero me alegro de haberme equivocado rotundamente. A continuación, les comentaré sobre algunos aspectos que me gustaron de esta película y por lo cual he decidido presentar mi primera entrada al concurso con ella.
¿Qué me Gusta de las películas de John Wick?
La Historia
Me agrada esta historia, un asesino retirado que intenta llevar una vida normal, pero un evento desafortunado cambia su pensamiento y decide volver a ese oficio teñido de sangre. Esta historia posee varios aspectos interesantes que desfloraré.
Venganza
Ya desde la sinopsis observamos que el sentimiento de venganza es el que marca el camino de la trama desde el principio, observamos una secuencia de imágenes en que se trasmite ese sentimiento con una mezcla de frustración y odio, esto hace que creemos empatía con el protagonista e incluso deseemos que el personaje tome la venganza con sus propias manos, este es definitivamente un aspecto que hace que el espectador quede enganchado a la película hasta el final. En lo particular disfruto de las historias de venganzas, es un sentimiento humano que puede influenciar enormemente las decisiones, en el caso de John Wick, la búsqueda de su venganza lo coloca en peligro como nunca antes.
En algunos momentos se percibe la sensación de que John Wick al final no tiene mucho que perder, por lo cual el sentimiento de venganza se torna aún más fuerte, sobre todo en esa primera película de la saga.
Organización de Asesinos
Otro de esos aspectos que me agradan es esa organización oculta que en las sombras controla los movimientos de esos asesinos a sueldo. En la película llegamos a un sitio llamado The Continental, un lugar agradable y elegante, donde se respetan las reglas y además donde los asesinos pueden estar tranquilos y protegidos ante ataques, la estructura de esta organización, así como el lugar son muy interesantes. La manera en que estos asesinos debe respetar este sitio es algo magnifico pero que también permite establecer los contratos para esos asesinos, condiciones y el pago que recibirán luego de realizar su trabajo.
Las reglas son estrictas y si no se cumplen las consecuencias inmediatas pueden acabar con la vida del infractor, esta organización es sin dudas uno de los puntos fuertes de esta producción desde mi punto de vista. De cierta manera nos hace contraste el hecho de que criminales o sujetos que quitan vidas por un pago tengan una organización tan bien estructurada y sobre todo tan respetada, ese contraste es atractivo para el espectador.
Incluso hay personas que limpian el desastre dejado por estos asesinos, es impresionante.
Acción
Que hablar de la acción de esta película, decir que es de alta calidad puede quedarse corto ya que podemos observar una coreografía impresionante con armas de fuego, sangre, explosiones y muchas cosas propias del género de acción que seguramente nos hacen acelerar el corazón en algunos momentos de la película. La coreografía en el combate es extraordinaria, pero hay un punto que en lo particular me llamó la atención desde que vi por primera vez la primera película de John Wick.
Disparos en la Cabeza
Creo que este es uno de los aspectos que podemos notar que hace realzar la acción de esta película. Normalmente en el mundo del cine podemos observar un sinfín películas moralistas donde los personajes prefieren no asesinar a los enemigos, solo neutralizarlos o herirlos, pero sin quitarles la vida, esta película desecha todo ese concepto y arroja esa moralidad al cesto de basura, haciendo que los disparos en el cráneo son protagonistas de la acción.
El típico disparo a la cabeza de esta saga hace que esta película que he catalogado como “comercial” tome un rumbo distinto al guion moralista de este tipo de películas que normalmente apuntan a un amplio segmento del público, definitivamente asesinar sin piedad con un disparo entre los ojos se sale del guion de muchas películas comerciales.
Para mí, es uno de los aspectos que hacen que la película se mueva en una acción sobresaliente, todo sumado a los buenos movimientos y coreografías con el arma de fuego. Es de las películas centradas en la acción que realmente he disfrutado tantas veces y sigo teniendo esas buenas impresiones cada vez que observo esas secuencias de John Wick enfrentándose a un gran número de enemigos, algo que podemos ver muchas veces sin aburrirnos.
Keanu Reeves
Reeves interpreta un personaje bastante complejo pero que al mismo tiempo se adapta al actor con características por sus características, creo que es uno de los papeles más significativos de Keanu Reeves (a pesar de que no es una actuación como para ganarse un Oscar) desde mi punto de vista me parece es de los papeles más significativos del actor junto a Neo de The Matrix. Un personaje con pocas palabras pero que sus gestos trasmiten la información, sobre todo, su arma habla por sí sola. Un hombre que desea dejar a un lado el pasado pero que el destino le juega una mala pasada y decide volver a convertirse en un implacable asesino. Podemos sentir esa empatía por el personaje y el deseo de venganza que trasmite. Un personaje bastante emblemático en la industria del cine de los últimos años.
Ian McShane
Otro de esos personajes que me agradaron mucho desde la primera película fue el de Winston, interpretado por Ian McShane, un hombre encargado del orden y de las reglas del Continental, con una muy buena elocuencia y amabilidad característica del lugar podía trasmitir la información correctamente con sus palabras, un personaje parecido al de las películas de mafia, sabemos que puede ser un criminal, pero se rige por un código inflexible, un personaje que otorga un equilibrio importante dentro de la historia de esta película a pesar de no ser protagonista. Este personaje va adquiriendo un maór peso en la trama conforme avanzan las películas de la saga.
Fotografía
Me agrada el tipo de fotografía con cierta oscuridad, una paleta de colores que realza el misterio pero que también ayuda en las magnificas coreografías de acción, algo que quizás se asemeja a The Matrix en cuanto a su aspecto visual. Notamos que la oscuridad se adueña de la película dando una cierta sensación de inseguridad y de que algo malo podría ocurrir en cualquier momento, eso le agrega emoción al film.
Una Película De Acción Obligatoria
Para el género de acción y en cuanto a películas posteriores al 2010, esta saga de películas es notablemente significativa para la industria, es un icono de acción y disparos, a mi juicio una de las películas actuales más recomendables para el amante de la buena acción. Para mí es una película bastante completa, aunque si existen fallos estos son tapados por esas excelentes secuencias de acción que cumplen con el objetivo primordial de entretener.
¿Mis Películas Favoritas de Acción?
Debo decir que no poseo una película favorita de acción, por lo cual este concurso donde podemos presentar varias entradas me viene muy bien, a pesar de que es de mis géneros favoritos, creo que no podría decidirme por una sola, sin embargo, John Wick se encuentra en esa selección especial, realmente me ha gustado esta película y espero saber si hay otros usuarios que piensan que es una buena película de acción, que recordaremos por mucho tiempo además de esperar ansiosamente las nuevas producciones de este universo.

Below, I'll tell you about some aspects I liked about this movie and why I decided to submit my first contest entry with it.
What do I like about the John Wick movies?
The Story
I like this story, a retired assassin who tries to lead a normal life, but an unfortunate event changes his thinking and he decides to return to that blood tinged trade. This story has several interesting aspects that I will deflower.
Revenge
Already from the synopsis we observe that the feeling of revenge is the one that marks the path of the plot from the beginning, we observe a sequence of images in which that feeling is transmitted with a mixture of frustration and hatred, this makes us create empathy with the protagonist and even want the character to take revenge with his own hands, this is definitely an aspect that makes the viewer is hooked to the film until the end. I particularly enjoy revenge stories, it is a human feeling that can greatly influence decisions, in the case of John Wick, the pursuit of his revenge puts him in danger like never before.
At times you get the feeling that John Wick ultimately doesn't have much to lose, so the feeling of revenge becomes even stronger, especially in that first film of the saga.
Organization of Assassins
Another of those aspects that I like is that hidden organization that in the shadows controls the movements of those hired killers. In the movie we arrive at a place called The Continental, a nice and elegant place, where the rules are respected and also where the assassins can be calm and protected against attacks, the structure of this organization, as well as the place are very interesting. The way in which these assassins must respect this place is something magnificent but it also allows to establish the contracts for these assassins, conditions and the payment they will receive after doing their job.
The rules are strict and if they are not followed the immediate consequences can end the life of the offender, this organization is undoubtedly one of the strengths of this production from my point of view. In a way it contrasts the fact that criminals or people who take lives for payment have such a well structured and respected organization, this contrast is attractive to the viewer.
There are even people who clean up the mess left by these murderers, it is impressive.
Action
What to talk about the action in this film, to say that it is of high quality may be an understatement as we can observe an impressive choreography with firearms, blood, explosions and many things typical of the action genre that surely make our hearts race at some moments of the film. The combat choreography is extraordinary, but there is a point that particularly caught my attention since I first saw the first John Wick movie.

I think this is one of the aspects that we can notice that enhances the action of this movie. Normally in the world of cinema we can observe an endless number of moralistic movies where the characters prefer not to kill the enemies, only neutralize or wound them, but without taking their lives, this movie discards all that concept and throws that morality to the trash can, making the shots in the skull are protagonists of the action.
The typical headshot of this saga makes this film that I have categorized as "commercial" take a different direction from the moralistic script of this type of films that usually target a wide segment of the audience, definitely killing without mercy with a shot between the eyes is out of the script of many commercial films.
For me, it's one of the aspects that make the film move in outstanding action, all added to the good moves and choreography with the firearm. It's one of the action-centric films I've really enjoyed so many times and I still get those good impressions every time I watch those sequences of John Wick taking on a large number of enemies, something we can watch many times without getting bored.
Keanu Reeves
Reeves plays a character quite complex but at the same time fits the actor with characteristics for his characteristics, I think it is one of the most significant roles of Keanu Reeves (although it is not a performance to win an Oscar) from my point of view I think it is one of the most significant roles of the actor next to Neo from The Matrix. Another of those characters that I liked a lot since the first film was Winston, played by Ian McShane, a man in charge of order and the rules of the Continental, with a very good eloquence and kindness characteristic of the place could transmit the information correctly with his words, a character similar to the mafia movies, we know he can be a criminal, but is governed by an inflexible code, a character that gives an important balance within the story of this film despite not being a protagonist. This character acquires more weight in the plot as the films of the saga progress.

I like the type of photography with a certain darkness, a color palette that enhances the mystery but also helps in the magnificent action choreography, something that perhaps resembles The Matrix in terms of its visual aspect. We notice that darkness takes over the film giving a certain sense of insecurity and that something bad could happen at any moment, that adds excitement to the film.
A Must See Action Movie
For the action genre and in terms of films after 2010, this film saga is remarkably significant for the industry, it is an icon of action and shooting, in my opinion one of the most recommended current films for the lover of good action. For me it is a fairly complete film, although if there are flaws these are covered by those excellent action sequences that meet the primary objective of entertaining.
My Favorite Action Movies?
I must say that I do not have a favorite action movie, so this contest where we can submit several entries is very good for me, although it is one of my favorite genres, I think I could not decide on just one, however, John Wick is in that special selection, I really liked this movie and I hope to know if there are other users who think it is a good action movie, which we will remember for a long time in addition to eagerly await new productions of this universe.
