[AAA] [Movie Review #2] Crazy, Stupid, Love: A Fascinating Madness Made Romance and Comedy

Review by @josalarcon2 · 2550d · of Crazy, Stupid, Love

Taking into account that the recommended theme for this week's reviews is romantic comedy I decided to dust off some of my old Blu rays to revive one of the romantic comedies I've liked the most in recent years. And is that this film has everything to give us a cinematographic pleasure.

Unlike other romantic comedies where the protagonists magically know each other and then practically fall in love within minutes of knowing each other, Crazy, Stupid Love begins where great love stories end: at the point where marriage has become boring and where the divorce is now inevitable

# The movie starts when Cal our protagonist realizes that his wife of all life has been cheating on him and that as I told you before their marriage time is over. This will set the story in motion because our protagonist to be marginalized and even betrayed by his wife faces the reality that his time has perhaps already passed and where he has to recognize that his " social " skills have seen better days.

The good thing is that by destiny Cal meets Jacob a man who unlike Cal is an expert in the art of seduction and who is more than willing to help Cal get up and see better days. And that's where one of the funniest parts of the movie starts when Jacob takes Cal under his mantle and decides to help him and transform him into a better version of himself.

The friendship of these two men developed in a very funny and weird way and in the background is slowly forging a kind of brotherhood.

# However, as the story continues we realize that the story of Cal is not the only one that is problematic and funny and is that his oldest daughter Hannah who recently ended a relationship decides to get drunk in a bar where she ends up meeting a seducer, yes... Jacob.

To make everything shorter these two falls in love and Jacob who is a real seducer decides to hang up the gloves and make Hannah his priority, but of course everything without knowing that she is Cal's daughter.

After all, the movie is full of messes, loves between different generations and very good doses of comedy, that emanating the superheroes movies incorporates a very funny scene of reconquest and fight.

# Generally speaking, this is a romantic comedy, seasoned with some chaos and with several generations desiring each other. But a very pleasant comedy, without great pretensions but well done, with a very correct casting avoiding the usual hots ones and looking for more interesting & little more realistic profiles.

Without moving too far from the scheme of many other comedies of this type, the dialogues are not a simple succession of cliches and really gets that you laugh.
