Following the theme of this week for the review, today I bring you another great movie that beyond liking me for the comic part it has, I get hooked more for the fact of adding an element as different as time travel, time travels that are undoubtedly more like what we know of them and less like the mess we got in Avenger End Game.
About Time.
# Generally speaking, I liked the film very much, it starts with a lot of force and many tones of comedy telling us the unfortunate beginnings of our protagonist in love, however, as the film progresses it gets a little serious and the comedy disappears a little but good not everything can be perfect.About Time is a 2013 British romantic comedy-drama film about a young man with the ability to time travel who tries to change his past in hopes of improving his future. As I told you, the story begins in a very funny way, introducing us to Tim (our protagonist) and his dysfunctional and even funnier family, especially his sister. So while we advance a little we realize immediately that Tim, craves for love but that his shy and withdrawn character betrays him and did not help much that we say, hence that his first love (The beautiful friend of his sister who "coincidentally" stayed a few days at home) gives him some hope but in the end does not give him an opportunity to love. However, in a magnific twist, his father tells him a great family secret.
"Son we can travel in time, using our memories"
As you can imagine from here the film is completely demarcated from almost any other usual romantic comedy to incorporate such a sci-fi element.

So with a little trial and error, we'll see how Tim uses his newly discovered talent to try a new opportunity to charm Charlotte the beautiful friend of his sister, but guess what, seems that at that point nor time travel are able to deceive Cupid because despite several attempts Charlotte fails to give Tim the opportunity he so desperately wants. In short after that Tim simply begins a trip to London to consolidate his career as a lawyer and it is there where he unexpectedly meets Mary his true and finally long-awaited love.
Things with Mary are not easy but after several funny moments and time travel, Tim manages to make her fall in love, and from then on everything is pink with hilarious comic moments, like the first time Tim meets his parents-in-law.

From here on, the movie becomes a little intense and detaches itself from comedy. Like any person with such ability, Tim begins to want to fix everyone's problems and only makes things worse, including his life. Many dramatic and somewhat sad scenes that lower the funny tone of the movie and although I particularly do not reproach much I think they were not for the initial tone set by the movie.Conclusion.
This is a different romantic comedy, which uses a premise of science fiction without delving into explanations but which works perfectly and which stirs charm, tenderness, and humor, but that for another side it is too long and this implies that from a certain moment onwards it needs to travel other paths, giving too much importance to the drama and allowing itself to be dragged into an excess of sentimentality.
