Ayumu sigue su entrenamiento de atletismo para las olimpiadas, ella es una de las escogidas por el país para participar en dicha competencia, su padre trabaja como electricista y en ese momento colocaba las luces en un estadio. Se había pronosticado un terremoto cercano pero ya estaban acostumbrados a eso en Japón, lo que no sabían es que seria de una magnitud que podría acabar con todas las vidas en el país, Koichiro, padre de Auyumu fue salvado por estar enganchado a una plataforma, Auyumu se salva por suerte mientras que todas sus compañeras en los bastidores están muertas. Lo único que desea cada uno es encontrar a su familia en este desastre que esta sucediendo ¿Que estará pasando?

Japón se hunde: 2020 es un anime original de Netflix, últimamente esta apostando mucho a los animes esta plataforma y les ha ido muy bien, en esta ocasión contrataron a un animador que ya había trabajado con ellos, el mismo que animo Devilman Crybaby. Para los que llegaron a ver este anime saben que tiene un estilo un poco borroso, algunos detalles en la animación que podría llegar a verse mal pero que va con lo que es el anime, momentos que se ve mal dibujada la escena pero es a propósito y eso la hace llamativa.

La historia es interesante porque muestra la posibilidad de que suceda algo en realidad, según leí,lo que presentan en el anime es un estudio verdadero, una teoría de que en algún momento Japón pueda desaparecer, en este anime muestra lo que podría pasar gracias a toda la tecnología de hoy en día, saber el pronostico por el internet, saber las noticias, los puntos de partida para salvarse, todo.

El anime te mantiene atento a lo que puede suceder porque esta ambientado en un lugar desastroso donde podría caer lo que sea del cielo y terminar la historia en unos segundos, es inesperada, entretenida, estresante en algunos puntos, realmente vale la pena verla.
