Out of the Furnace/La ley del más fuerte (Reseña/Review)

Russel Blaze es un hombre dedicado a su vida, siguiendo los pasos de su padre trabajando en el mismo sitio, viviendo con su pareja y cuidando de su hermano Rodney, aun cuando ya es un militar. Aun cuando la vida lo pisotea él desea hacer lo mejor para si mismo y su familia, pero desde que su hermano desaparece por motivos sospechosos, empieza la transformación de un hombre pacifico a un hombre rencoroso.

Russel Blaze is a man dedicated to his life, following in his father's footsteps by working in the same place, living with his partner and taking care of his brother Rodney, even though he is already a military man. Even when life tramples him he wants to do what is best for himself and his family, but since his brother disappears for suspicious reasons, he begins the transformation from a peaceful man to a spiteful man.

Out of the Furnace, una película estrenada en el 2013 con una duración de una hora con cincuenta y siete minutos, con un reparto increíble de actores reconocidos como Willem Dafoe, Christian Bale, Woody Harrelson, entre otros. Producido por Ridley Scott y Leonadro Dicaprio, nos muestran una película de como algunas personas aunque traten de escapar de la violencia, es el único método que consiguen para seguir adelante.

La historia me pareció entretenida pero sentí que la violencia iba a ser más notoria, que habría algunas escenas de peleas o de desesperación, pero no hubo nada de eso, se nota el enojo del personaje, su impotencia ante la situación, faltando la muestra de verdadero rencor al hacer algo. Puede verse como una película que demuestra como cualquiera con corazón noble puede romperse, es de esas historias donde incluso el director espera que su personaje haya conseguido la paz, sin siquiera mostrarlo.

Ridley Scott es un director que lleva años en el cine, con muchas producciones que llegaron a ganar premios, no es sorpresa que esta película tenga actores reconocidos, cada uno de ellos son una joya y no deja que haya un momento de mediocridad en cualquier personaje. Aunque algunas escenas no le vi mucho sentido como la antigua novia de Russel, Lena Taylor (Zoe Saldana) teniendo interacción aun con el personaje principal después de lo ocurrido, pero ya seria un problema personal mio creo.

La película es buena, me gustó, pero igual sentí la falta de algunas escenas más fuertes, de desesperación o alguna pelea salvaje de verdad, de igual manera no le hace peor por eso mismo, claramente, recomiendo esta película.

Produced by Ridley Scott and Leonadro Dicaprio, they show us a film about how some people, even if they try to escape violence, is the only method they can get to move on.

I found the story entertaining but I felt that the violence was going to be more noticeable, that there would be some scenes of fights or desperation, but there was none of that, the character's anger is noticeable, his impotence in the face of the situation, missing the sample of true spite when doing something. It can be seen as a film that shows how anyone with a noble heart can break, it is one of those stories where even the director hopes that his character has achieved peace, without even showing it.

Ridley Scott is a director who has been in the cinema for years, with many productions that came to win awards, it is not surprising that this film has recognized actors, each one of them is a jewel and there is not a moment of mediocrity in any character. Although some scenes I didn't see much point in it as Russel's old girlfriend, Lena Taylor (Zoe Saldana) still having interaction with the main character after what happened, but it would be a personal problem for me I think.

The movie is good, I liked it, but I still felt the lack of some stronger scenes, of desperation or some real wild fight, in the same way it doesn't make it worse for that reason, clearly, I recommend this movie.
