Luckiest Girl Alive🎬
Recently I have made it my goal to watch at least one movie a week and also finish my list of series because it is very long and every time I keep adding more and more. On this occasion I want to give a brief opinion about this film.
The Luckiest Girl Alive, recently I found out that it is in fact a novel and to my surprise it is based on a real event and precisely from the life of the writer, I had no idea, for me it was a suggestion on netflix one day and I decided watch it, and the fact why I wanted to watch this movie was because I saw the actress Mila Kunis on the cover, for a long time I have come to feel respect for this actress, because I remember that one day I was watching an interview and she said that there was always a comment about his eyes and that at some point even that was an obstacle to getting a job in the world of cinema, I remember thinking about how bad society was for looking at nonsense like that and the damage they cause it to a human being.
Recientemente me he propuesto mirar al menos una película a la semana y culminar también mi lista de series porque es muy larga y cada sigo añadiendo mas y más. En esta ocasión quiero dar como una breve opinión acerca de esta película.
La chica mas afortunada del mundo, recientemente me enteré que de hecho es una novela y para mayor sorpresa está basada en un hecho real y justamente de la vida de la escritora, no tenía idea, para mi fue una sugerencia en Netflix un día y decidí verla, y el hecho del por que quise ver esta película fue porque vi a la actriz Mila Kunis en la portada, desde hace mucho tiempo he llegado a sentir un respeto por esta actriz, porque recuerdo que un día estaba viendo un entrevista y ella decía que siempre había un comentario acerca de sus ojos y que en algún punto incluso eso fue un obstáculo para conseguir trabajo en el mundo del cine, recuerdo a ver pensado en lo mal que estaba la sociedad por fijarse en tonterías así y el daño que lo causan a un ser humano.
Continuing with the movie, at first it seems a bit confused and I wasn't understanding what it was about, even when I read the Netflix synopsis I imagined totally different things, here it is:
A writer's perfectly crafted New York City life starts to unravel when a true-crime documentary forces her to confront her harrowing high school story.
The synopsis of the film tells us about a perfectly stable character but when we see the film, we realize that there is something strange and we even think that the character needs psychological attention, I understood that probably by stable they wanted to refer to the monetary part, since she seemed to be doing well financially on the part of her partner, at least that is how it is portrayed in the film.
Continuando con la película, al principio parece un poco confusa y no estaba entendiendo de qué iba, incluso cuando leí la sinopsis de Netflix me imaginé cosas totalmente diferente, aquí te la dejo:
La vida de una escritora neoyorquina, perfectamente estable, comienza a desmoronarse cuando un documental de crímenes reales la obliga a enfrentarse a su desgarradora historia en el instituto.
La sinopsis de la película nos habla de un personaje perfectamente estable pero cuando vemos la película, nos damos cuenta de qué hay algo raro e incluso llegamos a pensar que el personaje necesita atención psicológica, entendí que probablemente por estable quisieron hacer referencia a la parte monetaria, ya que parecía estar financieramente bien por la parte de su pareja, al menos así es como se plasma en la película.
Ani FaNelli, is the main character, and in fact the name Ani is like the character that she invented in her head, it is understandable seeing the whole scenario that this character created her to feel that she left behind all the traumas of her hard life, Well, as a young girl she unfortunately suffered from a gang rape.
The movie was a bit confusing for me because at first it did not show the reason why this character acted so strange, as it progressed they showed segments of what were the memories of the teenager and the school, Ani was awarded a scholarship at a school to rich people, already being middle class this meant pressure to fit in and also a lot of pressure from her mother, since she expected her to be perfect without caring what her own daughter was really feeling.
We see interspersed scenes of adult life with adolescent life. In her adult life she shows us a woman who managed to be a writer but was working writing articles about sexual life, Ani as an adult at first glance did not seem to be a woman who had suffered a horrible trauma like that but in the small intimacy of the character, we can seeing how she did not agree with her body, the discussions with her partner who really seemed to treat her very well, Ani described herself as a chameleon, someone who had to constantly change her shape to please everyone and that no one would suspect the pain inside.
Ani FaNelli, es el personaje principal, y de hecho el nombre Ani es como el personaje que ella se inventó en su cabeza, es comprensible viendo todo el panorama que este personaje lo creó para sentir que dejaba atrás todos tus traumas de su dura vida, pues, de joven lamentablemente sufrió de una violación en grupo.
La película se me hizo un poco confusa porque al principio no mostraba la razón del por qué este personaje actuaba tan raro, a medida que avanzaba mostraban segmentos de lo que fueron sus memorias de adolescente y el colegio, Ani fue becada en un colegio de gente rica, ya de por si al ser de clase media esto suponía una presión por encajar y también mucha presión de su madre, ya que esperaba que ella fuera perfecta sin importarle que estaba realmente sintiendo su propia hija.
Vemos escenas intercaladas de la vida de adulta con la vida de adolescente. En la vida de adulta nos muestra una mujer que logró ser escritora pero estaba trabajando escribiendo artículos sobre vida sexual, Ani de adulta a simple vista no parecía ser una mujer que hubiera sufrido un horrible trauma como ese pero en la pequeña intimidad del personaje, se veía como no estaba de acuerdo con su cuerpo, las discusiones con su pareja que realmente parecía tratarla muy bien, Ani se describió así misma como un camaleón, alguien que tenía que constantemente cambiar su forma para agradarle a todo el mundo y que nadie sospechara el dolor que llevaba por dentro.
While Ani was acting as Chameleon, her inner child was suffering from the constant memories of what happened that day. It is a whole chain of tragedies, reviewing a little the memories that the film shows us. At that stage of her life, Ani wanted to be friends with the rich but they seemed to leave her a bit aside, some knowing where she came from, she ended up making friends with two nerds, one of whom also had a very traumatic experience and who had not been capable of denouncing the abuses that were committed against him. All these repressions in human beings have a great negative impact and here they show it.
Ani's traumatic experience began the day she and a friend of hers, (who to this day continued to be her friend and take care of her) decided to skip the school party to go to a private party at the house of one of these rich kids. Ani drank a lot of alcohol to the point of collapsing, when she wakes up she finds an unpleasant scene because she had a boy on top of her stealing all her virtue, before this fact she tries to make them stop and tries to say that enough is enough but without many strength and her pleas are ignored, then we see in the scene how another boy passes and so on, until finally she can get out and run for help and meets her teacher. Then they show a scene where Ani tried to report the facts but the school principal insists many times on whether she is sure of the facts and the consequences, this makes her lose her courage. Later her teacher is fired from the school.
Mientras Ani actuaba como Camaleón, su niña interna estaba sufriendo de los constante recuerdos de lo que sucedió ese día. Es toda una cadena de tragedias, repasando un poco los recuerdos que nos muestra la película. En esa etapa de su vida, Ani quería ser amiga de los ricos pero parecían dejarla un poco de lado, sabiendo algunos de donde provenía, termino haciéndose amigos con dos cerebritos, quien uno de ellos también tuvo una experiencia muy traumática y quien no había sido capaz de denunciar los abusos que fueron cometidos contra él. Todas estas represiones en los seres humanos tienen un gran impacto negativo y aquí lo muestran.
La experiencia traumática de Ani comenzó el día que ella y una amiga, (que hasta la actualidad siguió siendo su amiga y cuidando de ella) decidieron saltarse la fiesta del colegio para ir a una fiesta privada en casa de uno de estos niños ricos. Ani bebió mucho alcohol al punto de colapsar, al despertar ella se encuentra con una escena desagradable pues tenía a un chico encima de ella robándole toda su virtud, ante este hecho ella trata de que se detengan y trata de decir que ya basta pero sin muchas fuerzas y sus suplicas son ignoradas, luego vemos en la escena como pasa otro chico y así sucesivamente, hasta que por fin puede zafarse y correr a pedir auxilio y se encuentra con su profesor. Después muestran una escena donde Ani trató de denunciar los hechos pero el Director del colegio insiste muchas veces sobre si ella está segura de los hechos y en las consecuencias, esto hace que ella pierda la valentía. Más tarde su profesor es despedido del colegio.
As the days go by Ani doesn't know what to do, she goes with her nerds friends, they tell her that she should report that and they tell her the story of one of them, one day these rich kids decided to invite them to smoke and hang out in the forest, later it turned into a chase where they grabbed one of them, knocked him to the ground and defecated on his chest, he was never able to report it but the traumas were always latent. And these same traumas led him days later to take a weapon and end the lives of many students, especially those who harmed him, after this he committed suicide, in that unfortunate incident one of the rapists and who was also part of the suffering of the other boy, he was injured and in a wheelchair and despite everything that had happened, he still dared to continue emotionally damaging Ani, by spreading lies and saying that she was also part of the shooting.
Al pasar los días Ani no sabe qué hacer, ella acude con sus amigos cerebritos, ellos le dicen que ella debe denunciar eso y le cuentan la historia de uno de ellos, un día estos niños ricos decidieron invitarlos a ellos a fumar y pasar el rato en el bosque, mas tarde se convirtió en una persecución en donde agarraron a uno de ellos, lo tumbaron en el piso y le defecaron en su pecho, él nunca pudo denunciarlo pero los traumas siempre estuvieron latentes. Y estos mismos traumaron lo llevaron días después a tomar un armar y acabar con la vida de muchos estudiantes en especial con aquellos que le hicieron un daño, después de esto se suicidó, en ese desafortunado incidente uno de los violares y quien también formó parte del sufrimiento del otro chico, quedo herido y en silla de ruedas y a pesar de todo lo que había sucedido, aún así se atrevió a seguir dañando emocionalmente a Ani, al esparcir mentiras y contar que ella también formó parte del tiroteo.
After this, they no longer show us the story of the teenager, they show us the adult. Here we begin to become aware and know why Ani acts the way she does, currently she found that they wanted to make a documentary with everything that had happened years ago, they thought that the story would only be about the shooting but Ani says that she lived a more traumatic experience and it seems that everything begins to collapse when she sees that in this same documentary they invite her rapist, acclaiming himself as a survivor of the event.
Ani goes through many emotions, she was about to get married, she had also considered her fiancé's suggestion to forget about it because he thought she was fine, on the other hand there was her mother, saying that it would embarrass her and to think about everything that she had sacrificed for her to be at that point in her life. At this point they show us the internal struggle of the protagonist to cope with everything, she, regardless of the consequences, wanted to be free because her whole life had to accommodate her depending on others, to please others and leave herself aside, she needed revealing his truth to the world, comforting herself with her worst fears and traumas, until she finally stopped caring about the opinion of others and let it out.
Después de esto, ya no nos muestran más de la historia de la adolescente, nos muestran a la adulta. Aquí empezamos a entrar en conciencia y saber por qué Ani actúa de la forma que lo hace, en la actualidad se encontraba con que querían hacer un documental con todo lo que había pasado años atrás, pensaban que la historia sería solamente del tiroteo pero Ani dice que ella vivió una experiencia más traumática y parece que todo comienza a derrumbarse cuando ve que en este mismo documental invitan a su violador, aclamándose él como un sobreviviente del hecho.
Ani pasa por muchas emociones, estaba apunto de casarse, también había considerado la sugerencia de su prometido de olvidarse del asunto porque él pensaba que ella estaba bien, por otro lado estaba su madre, diciendo que eso la avergonzaría y que pensara en todo lo que ella había sacrificado para que ella estuviera en ese punto de su vida. En este punto nos muestran la lucha interna de la protagonista para sobrellevar todo, ella, sin importar en las consecuencias quería ser libre porque toda su vida la tuvo que acomodar en función de otros, en agradarle a los demás y dejarse de lado, ella necesitaba revelar su verdad al mundo, confortarse con sus peores miedos y traumas, hasta que finalmente dejó de importarle la opinión de otros y lo dejó salir.

My personal opinion It is unfortunate how in society this can happen, but it is real, it is something that is still happening. In this film they show us how this can affect a person psychologically and emotionally, to the point of damaging them. Here we saw two cases, the boy who could not live with the humiliation they made him go through and ended up shooting everyone at school. Then we have Ani, emotionally damaged thinking that everyone must like her, hiding that scar well through a very well-crafted facade on the outside of her. People must always speak up and denounce, we cannot remain silent, we cannot continue harming ourselves by prejudiced people, we have to get that noise out of our heads in order to be able to improve but also not to allow people who once hurt us, they can't hurt someone else, let's break that chain.
Mi opinión personal Es desafortunado como en la sociedad esto puede suceder, pero es real, es algo que todavía sigue sucediendo. En este película nos muestran como esto puede afectar psicológica y emocionalmente a una persona, al punto de dañarla. Aquí vimos dos casos, el chico que no pudo vivir más con la humillación que le hicieron pasar y termino disparando a todos en el colegio. Luego tenemos a Ani, emocionalmente dañada pensando que debe gustarle a todo el mundo, escondiendo bien esa cicatriz a través de una fachada muy bien creada en su exterior. Las personas siempre debemos hablar y denunciar, no podemos quedarnos callados, no podemos seguir dañándonos a nosotros mismos por personas prejuiciosas, tenemos que sacar ese ruido de nuestra cabezas en orden de poder mejorar pero también para no permitir que las personas que alguna vez nos lastimaron, no puedan lastimar a alguien más, rompamos esa cadena.
