Desde que tengo memoria soy un fanático empedernido de la animación Stop Motion, pese a que tiene 30 años a sus espaldas (Así es, ha pasado tanto tiempo desde su estreno) y que en algunos momentos se nota estática y acartonada a grandes rasgos se conserva bien, comparándola con algunos filmes de esa época esta resalta de buena forma con escenarios trabajados de buena forma y que se adaptan de buena forma a las necesidades narrativas.

The soundtrack is amazing, I'm not a fan of musicals, however it's nice that these are used in a good way in order to explore a character or a specific situation, all this makes this section a leading and fundamental one for the correct development of the film, in turn, they are quite pleasant and catchy songs.
La banda sonora es alucinante, no soy fanático de los musicales, sin embargo es agradable que estos sean utilizados de buena forma a fin de explorar a un personaje o a una situación en concreto, todo esto convierte a este apartado en uno protagónico y fundamental para el correcto desenvolviendo del filme, a su vez, son canciones bastante agradables y pegadizas.

The plot may seem basic at first but it is surprising the number of interesting concepts it addresses, the one that stands out the most is the apathy for routine and the status quo, denoting the influence that the feeling of emptiness can have on an individual, on the other hand the factor of change that can cause a symbol that is praised and respected by a group of people although I will take up this point Later on, finally, there is the issue of belittling the work of others, it may seem somewhat silly, however it is one of the most recurrent problems in daily life so it is interesting the way it was approached.
La trama puede parecer básica en un primer momento pero es sorprendente la cantidad de conceptos interesantes que aborda, el que más es destacado es la apatía por la rutina y por el status quo, denotándose la influencia que puede tener la sensación de vacío en un individuo, por otro lado el factor de cambio que puede provocar un símbolo que sea alabado y respetado por un grupo de personas aunque este punto lo retomaré más adelante, por último, se encuentra el tema de menospreciar el trabajo ajeno, puede parecer algo tonto, no obstante es uno de los problemas más recurrentes en la vida cotidiana por lo que es interesante la forma en que fue abordado.

La narrativa del filme aprovecha todos los conceptos anteriores y logra compactarlos en una historia agradable que es fácil de entender producto de que busca simplificar algunos conceptos importantes, esto puede ejemplificarse con sus diversos musicales los cuales contienen muchos sentires de los personajes dándole cierto dinamismo al momento sin restarle relevancia. La duración del filme podría parecer corta pero es la adecuada, si bien considero que hubo algunos temas que pudieron ser extendidos debido a que como idea daban para más no quiere decir que estos hayan sido abordados de forma desacertada como mencione previamente, sabe condensar su idea principal y utilizar los minutos de forma inteligente aunque igual deja al espectador deseando ver más sobre este mundo fantástico.

Sinceramente quería llegar a este apartado porque considero que es el que más cosas tiene para analizar, Jack es un protagonista muy interesante con diversos matices e incluso cierto grado de profundidad, este transmite una apatía por el estado actual de su vida producto del pensamiento de que esta se encuentra estancada y que no consigue llenarse con sus labores habituales, producto de esto es que considera buscar nuevos horizontes y metas pero bajo el concepto errado de que por ser bueno en algo automáticamente este será capaz de ser bueno en todo, es producto de esta mentalidad que su reivindicación es más agradable y que la aceptación de sus errores se siente excelente, a su vez, se destaca el hecho de que si amas lo que haces podrás ponerte nuevas metas y objetivos que te hagan repensar en formas de mejorar.

Los personajes secundarios transmiten un mensaje igual o más destacable que el propio protagonista, no tanto como individuos sino como un colectivo, mediante estos se instaura la idea del hecho de cómo una sociedad muchas veces necesita un símbolo o referente al cual admirar o al cual aspirar a llegar, además, se plasma el impacto de la perdida de esta y cómo puede desatarse el caos producto de ello, y, los cambios que están dispuestos a hacer como individuos y como sociedad a fin de congraciarse con esta, de forma sutil se habla sobre el fanatismo y como este puede nublar la visión de los individuos y la capacidad de estos de tener criterio, siendo algo bastante profundo que sinceramente me sorprende que una película para niños haya trabajado de forma tan excelente.

Es por todo lo anterior que merece 5 estrellas de 7, si viste esta animación en tu infancia te recomiendo encarecidamente que lo hagas nuevamente con una perspectiva más madura para que puedas percatarte de todas esas cosas que mencione en esta publicación.
