So after a few recommendations from a few friends I finally gave it a chance to watch Vikings. It has this big Game of Throne air to it although a bit less fantastic and more fighting scenes than the GoT. It was exciting enough to got me watching through this memorial weekend and got me all the way to season 3.
The series goes around the relationship between a Viking, explorer, which has a desire to explore and conquer new lands. Specially the West where England and France Kingdoms are. The story centers around the life of Ragnar Lothbrok from his young farmer days to becoming the King and then the King of Kings with all the villages of Scandinavia united to take them to the west.
The battles are sometimes gruesome and sometimes it's a bit hard to watch, however there is some certain air of comedy, from the looks and sometimes the gazes. The stories are full of life, death and battle, the viking way. Is also about the time where the kingdoms and inner fight withing them resulted in the waste of many lives.
I recommend people to give it a try if this is what you expect from series.
