So I decided on the last week of Spring anime watch from scratch the Date-a-Live season. Bench all 12 episodes and see if it was as good as the previous Date-A-Live IV. Unfortunately it has been so long that I no longer remember the plot or even the main character and what was the series about.
Even thought there is a lot of fanservice, and other competing series are out there such as Shin Ikkitousen. And other more recognized series like Spy x Family which is crushing it.
However after watching a few episodes I was hooked back again and it was pretty nice to see the first episodes where a mangakan / spirit went on a fake date with the main character Shidou Itsuka.
Origami Tobiichi aka the famous author of popular animes present herself to Itsuka as Souji Hontou, the alias pen name she used to publish such mangas. As a spirit however she does has a weapon, Raziel which is a book that can literally can rewrite the future.
I am still on episode 3 so this would still need to see how everything re-assemble in my brain but for now, I gotta give the series a good 7.5 on a 0-10 scale.
