Apostle movie is very nicely done, beautiful views and interesting costumes, but the plot of this movie is unfortunately not good.

The first act is intriguing and even pulls the viewer to sleep after about 40 minutes until the final finale. Director Gareth Evans was previously associated with action cinema (RAID), he took up the difficult genre of horror. This is not your typical monster horror movie more like this movie for Outlast 2 and Farcry5.
The film lacks a plot in the middle line of the film, it is terribly elongated at times, it is difficult to watch, only beautiful views made me watch this film on.

The abduction theme itself is very interesting, even the forest witch's theme, but I lacked meticulous efforts to reach the finale, because if we already have some action and a lot is happening, we suddenly get a lot of understatement and there are stretched scenes that do not contribute anything.
I have a problem with this film because on the one hand, the pictures and very interesting costumes bring to mind the 1920s, on the other hand, the story that does not know how to continue this story.

You can see the director watched a few games, he read a bit about cults and wanted to create a mega scary movie himself, it did not turn out as it should, nevertheless the movie is not tragic just hard to watch 2:14 minutes and shorten it to 1:30 you might like it by the pace.
For me, this film receives a rating of 4/10 due to the fact that this film lacked a lot to enjoy and many moments even dragged on endlessly.
