It's hard to be indifferent to the way he creates films.
There are films that are light and enjoyable, there are films that are powerful and show destruction, and there are music films that bring it all together and are a hell of a lot of fun.
This is a film that is suffocating, even claustrophobic, and yet draws the viewer ever closer to the screen. The dancers create a tremendous spectacle not only in the opening scene, but also afterwards where everyone creates their individual dance.
It is a film that is not only about dance, but about different cultures, different orientations, and love (although not as much as you might think). For 90 minutes, we get the greatest drug departure on screen.
The film also has subtle references to the horror classic about dancing, Suspiria
Of course, as this is French cinema, there are some long and well-shot shots (the best is when the heroine discovers she must be stoned and makes her way to the bathroom)
The style has a strong impact on the viewer.
The film is about young dancers having a dress rehearsal and a moment to themselves in an old building. After the rehearsal there is a time to relax and have a drink and some sandwiches.
Everyone is happy, but at some point they discover that there must have been drugs in the drink, because they feel more and more strange by the minute.
The director not only plays with the actors, but also with the audience by breaking the familiar pattern of opening credits. The opening credits we have a little at the beginning, then in the middle until we get the title at the very end. It is a psychedelic journey into the darkest thoughts of the characters, their sick desires and madness.
Madness occurs throughout the film and there is a lot of it indeed, screaming, similarly hair-raising, beatings, incest, suicide, electrocution and much more. It's a film that says sit down and I'll put on such a show you won't be able to comprehend for a month and that's exactly what happened, even though I watched the film yesterday I can still feel the "cinematic adrenaline".
The film is based on events that took place in 1950s France, but for the purposes of the film, the story has been made more contemporary for the 1990s and the madness more twisted.
Of course, the main evil in the film is Cocaine and LSD, because it was these two substances that caused the worst departure of the young dancers, who had their dream careers ahead of them.
The music, too, is chosen quite specifically, a rhythmic techno that drills a hole in the mind. It blends perfectly with the image, which turns from mere fun into madness enveloped in red and black, all to music perfectly suited to this type of film.
Each of the actors, plays so authentically that we begin to wonder if the director didn't give them something because their behaviour is extremely different in one scene. Each of the actors deserves a small round of applause because they not only danced, but fell into collective hysteria and deepening schizophrenia.
This time Gaspar throws the audience into the building with the dancers, showing what sits deep within people. Evil in the accompaniment of music. The title is not without reason, as the actors experience their greatest orgasm ever.
7/10 although the long shot scene deserves a 9/10
Some will like this film, others will spit on it as it strongly states that drugs are evil. If you don't like dance-type films, this one will be perfect as it is anti-dance with the best realised dance in the history of cinema.

Są filmy lekkie i przyjemne, są tez filmy mocne i ukazujące destrukcje, są tez filmy muzyczne, które łącza wszystko w jedno i przy tym cholernie dobrze się bawiąc.
To film, który jest duszny, wręcz klaustrofobiczny, a mimo to jednak przyciąga widza coraz bardziej do ekranu. Tancerze tworzą niezwykle widowisko nie tylko otwierająca scena, ale i później gdzie każdy tworzy swój indywidualny taniec.
To film, który nie tylko jest o tańcu ale o różnych kulturach, różnych orientacjach, oraz miłości ( choć nie takiej jak myślicie) Przez 90 minut dostajemy największy odlot narkotykowy na ekranie.

Oczywiście jako, ze to kino francuskie pojawiają sie długie i świetnie zrealizowane ujęcia ( najlepsze jest kiedy bohaterka odkrywa, ze chyba jest naćpana i przemierza drogę do łazienki)
Styl mocno działa na widza.
Film opowiada o tym, ze młodzi tancerze maja próbę generalna i chwile dla siebie starym budynku. Po próbie jest czas wytchnienia i napicia sie oraz kanapek.
Wszyscy sie cieszą, jednak w którymś momencie odkrywają, ze w napoju musiały być jakieś narkotyki, gdyż czuja sie z minuty na minutę coraz dziwniej.
Reżyser nie tylko bawi sie z aktorami, ale i z widzami łamiąc znany schemat napisów początkowych. Napisy pierw mamy na początku troszkę, później w środku aż na samym końcu otrzymujemy Tytuł. To paychodeliczna podróż do najczarniejszych myśli bohaterów, ich chorych żądzy i szaleństwa.
Szaleństwo występuje przez cały film i jest tego naprawdę sporo, krzyki, podobnie włosów, bicie, kazirodztwo, samobójstwo, porażenie prądem i wiele wiele innych. To film który mówi słuchaj usiądź a ja ci odpalę takie widowisko, ze nie ogarnie twój umysł przez miesiąc i to właśnie sie działo, mimo ze film oglądałem wczoraj to do dziś czuje ta „filmowa adrenalinę”
Film jest oparty o wydarzenia które miały miejsce w latach 50 we Francji, jednak na potrzeby filmu uwspółcześniono historie na lata 90 oraz bardziej podkręcona szaleństwo.
Oczywiście głównym złym w filmie jest Kokaina oraz LSD gdyż to te dwie substancje spowodowały najgorszy odlot młodych tancerzy, którzy mieli przed sobą wymarzone kariery.
Muzyka tez jest dobrana dość specyficznie rytmiczne techno, które wierci w umyśle dziurę. Świetnie komponuje się z obrazem, który od zwykłej zabawy zamienia się w szaleństwo okryte w czerwieni i czerni, a wszystko w muzyce idealnie pasującej do tego typu filmów.
Każdy z aktorów, gra tak mocno autentycznie, ze zaczynamy się zastanawiać czy reżyser nie podał im czegoś gdyż ich zachowania są skrajnie różne w jednej scenie. Każdy z aktorów zasługuje na małe brawa bo nie tylko tańczyli, ale popadali w zbiorowa histerie oraz pogłębiająca się schize.
Tym razem Gaspar wrzuca widza do budynku z tancerzami ukazując to co w ludziach siedzi głęboko. Zło w akompaniamencie muzyki. Tytuł nie jest bez powodu taki, gdyż aktorzy przezywają swój największy orgazm w życiu.
7/10 choć scena z długim ujęciem zasługuje na 9/10
Jedni ten film polubią inni naplują gdyż mocno się mówi w nim ze narkotyki to zło. Jeśli nie lubisz filmów typu tanecznego to Ten będzie idealny gdyż jest antytaneczny z najlepiej zrealizowanym tańcem w historii kina.
