Is there a doctor in the room?
That's what you could say when you watch this masterpiece.
The U.S. has always liked to make films that will be remembered in some way.
The 1950s/60s was the heyday of B-grade cinema, that is, films that didn't have a very fussy plot, and the action was fast-paced and sometimes meaningless.
In the 60s there was a "master" of bad cinema who took it upon himself to create a film so bad that people would remember it years later.
Arch Hall Sr. came to the conclusion that the art of filmmaking is pap so he will serve the most indigestible dish he can think of and serve to the audience.
Then Eegah was born, which for some was the start of a film career for others was the nail in the coffin and the quick oblivion of a great career. The film is a clumsily made vision on Tarzan and King Kong only that instead of these characters we get a caveman. The initial idea may seem intriguing to some since a prehistoric man lives a contemporary life somewhere in the Grand Canyon, but the evil is in the details. The very beginning with the opening credits suggests to the viewer that this could be a terrifying creation that will be etched on his skull. After 3 minutes of subtitles we finally get the beginning of the plot, and it is let's just say what it is.
Roxy is driving home in the evening after meeting her boyfriend, when suddenly a terrifying caveman appears in front of her car. The woman faints. When she tells about everything, no one believes such a surprising story as seeing a 2-meter man. Nonetheless, together with her father and boyfriend, Roxy decides to check the area to confirm that she is not crazy. On the spot, they discover a mysterious footprint. The father decides to hire a helicopter to check who the mysterious footprint belongs to. When the father counters in the mountains he stumbles, and a caveman takes him into the cave.
Roxy, along with Tom, decides to find him, but it won't be easy when the cave dweller is nearby. The plot even throws rational thinking into the trash, often during the screening you can burst out laughing due to the fact that there are editing errors or mistakes that are hard to explain like playing an acoustic guitar with a choir in the desert and other such foolishness.
This is a film that is hard to describe and hard to mention each bad because the whole film is constructed of mistakes, if there is a scene well done it is, so to say, boring and contributing nothing. It should be mentioned that the main character Tom is the son of a director, and his acting is somewhere on the level of a school play, on the other hand the role of the caveman is played by Richard Kiel, who in later years would gain international fame for his superbly played role in two Bond films. Eegah is a film that is considered to be the 2nd worst film ever, and unfortunately it shows, the infantilism of the characters, the tension so low that you can fall asleep, while the main plot of the caveman is already a powerful idiocy.
If you like bad cinema, so bad that you can laugh at the mistakes and lack of skill of the director then you can watch it otherwise you may feel embarrassed how someone could create a film so devoid of plot and suspense ( those were the times where horror presented itself a little differently than what it is now so don't count on bloody butchery) Eegah is such a raisin on a big cow pie, which presents nothing by itself, but can entertain and breaks the space-time continuum when you watch half an hour you watch 2 hours. 2/10 because it's been a long time since I've seen such a comical movie seriously.
Ojciec postanawia wynająć helikopter by sprawdzić do kogo należy tajemniczy odcisk stopy. Kiedy ojciec laduje w górach potyka się, a jaskiniowiec go zabiera do jaskini.
Roxy wraz z Tomem postanawiają go odszukać, jednak nie będzie to łatwe kiedy w pobliżu znajduje die jaskiniowiec.
