Scream had its ups and downs breaking the fourth wall, but it also played with convention, and for four parts it was directed by master Wes Craven, who created the iconic Ghostface character
Unfortunately Wes died, but the producers came to the conclusion that it was necessary to continue the series and that is how Scream 2022 came into being. The newest part unfortunately suffers from the affliction of yet another sequel, although it neatly mocks it.
The film does not even try to be serious for a moment, it breaks the fourth wall and in some moments is metaphysical when it comes to the whole universe. The film combines themes from the first one, adds a little bit of its own and sprinkles everything with a big pinch of nostalgia giving a dish that nobody was waiting for, but still everyone absorbs

The film even begins with an iconic scene this time in a slightly altered formula, but the first act is even a slight mockery of the original, and an attempt to create something new.
Ghostface in the film is not a strong character, he often falls over in a comical way giving the viewer a moment of respite
As far as Scream is concerned, it is obvious that Sidney has to appear in the film and this is the biggest problem; old actors who play very little in the film and do not even try to solve the mystery are only a background for the main characters.
The latest Scream is a mockumentary, but it works as a thriller and builds suspense, while the murders are unpredictable and sometimes we will be surprised that this character will die. The finale itself, unfortunately, disappoints, it's too obvious, while in the first Scream there was a hint of uncertainty, in the newest one we immediately find out who the titular Ghostface is and what his motivations are this time. His motivations are different than always because he no longer wants to kill Sidney but has found a new object to hunt.

Looking at the production layer it is a very good film and it keeps the suspense interesting, you can feel the atmosphere of the first one and the characters are quite credible. On the other hand, the iconic characters are thrown in forcibly, playing very little on screen and behaving like lemmings in some game.
I recommend watching it, because the film starts a new trilogy (which in my opinion is very bad) each character is interestingly drawn, because each has some flaws and we can suspect him to be the main bad guy. A young woman comes to the town of Woodsboro when she learns that a maniacal lunatic almost killed her sister. A wave of murders begins in the town and the main character has a very dark secret that she is afraid to reveal even to her own sister.

8/10 although a bit of a stretch, it's a shame that the old actors play here as a background for the new characters and despite the jokes they are only a background for the characters that played in the first one

Niestety Wes zmarł, jednak producenci doszli do wniosku, ze trzeba dalej kontynuować serie i tak powstaje Scream 2022. Najnowsza cześć niestety choruje na przypadłość kolejnego sequela choć zgrabnie to wyśmiewa.
Film nie stara się nawet przez chwile być poważny łamie czwarta ścianę i w niektórych momentach jest metafizyczny jeśli chodzi o całość uniwersum. Film łączy wątki z jedynki dodaje troszkę od siebie i posypuje wszystko duża szczypta nostalgii dając danie na które nikt nie czekał, ale jednak każdy wchłania

Film wręcz zaczyna się od ikonicznej sceny tym razem w lekko zmienionej formule, ale pierwszy akt to wręcz lekkie naśmiewanie się z oryginału, a do tego próba stworzenia czegoś na nowo.
Ghostface w filmie nie jest jakiś mocarny, często się przewraca w komiczny sposób dając chwile wytchnienia widzowi
Jeśli chodzi o Scream to wiadome jest, ze w filmie musi się pojawić Sidney i tutaj jest największa przypadłość, starzy aktorzy, którzy w filmie grają bardzo mało nawet nie starając się rozwiązać zagadki są tylko tłem dla głównych bohaterow.
Najnowszy Scream to film prześmiewczy, ale działa jako Thriller i buduje napięcie, zaś morderstwa są nieprzewidywalne i nieraz będziemy zaskoczeni, ze ta postać akurat zginie. Sam finał niestety rozczarowuje, jest zbyt oczywisty o ile w pierwszym Scream była ta nutka niepewności tak w najnowszym od razu skapniemy się kim jest tytułowy Ghostface i jakie ma tym razem motywacje. Motywacje ma całkiem inne niż zawsze bo już nie zależy mu by zabić Sidney, a znalazł nowy obiekt do polowania.

Patrząc na warstwę realizatorską to bardzo dobry film i trzyma ciekawie w napięciu, czuć klimat jedynki oraz postacie są w miarę wiarygodni. Z drugiej strony na sile wrzucone ikoniczne postacie, które grają bardzo mało na ekranie i zachowują się jak lemingi w jakieś grze.
Polecam obejrzeć, gdyż film rozpoczyna nowa trylogie (co moim zdaniem jest bardzo złe) każda postać jest ciekawie nakreślona, gdyż każda ma jakieś wady i możemy ja podejrzewać, ze jest głównym złym. Do miasteczka Woodsboro przyjeżdża młoda kobieta, kiedy dowiaduje się ze maniakalny szaleniec omal nie zabił jej siostry. W miasteczku zaczyna się fala morderstw, a główna bohaterka ma bardzo mroczny sekret, który boi się wyjawić nawet własnej siostrze.
