Dad, I only see Silent Hill in my dreams.
The second part of the film Silent Hill focuses on the third game (why no one ever came up with a brilliant second, which is a ready-made film script).
The film tells the story of Heather, who grew up and lives with her father, moving for a moment to leak outside . However, the Sient Hill calls her to herself. As long as it was in the game, it was sensibly led where many threads took place between sleep and shoemaking, so in the film we only get a substitute for this at the very beginning.
The beginning is the greatest advantage of this production, you can feel the light atmosphere from the first film and the references to the game, but when the main character drives a car with a young guest from the sect, the charm of the game disappears.
I will mention the things that played here first. Of course, the music that is specific to this series by Master Yamaoke fits perfectly even in a poor movie. The film is dynamic, it must be admitted.
The puppet creature is super cool, it's a pity it was forgotten later in the movie because the character turned out brilliant. On the downside, it is a huge amount of errors and nonsense.
While the well-known and liked Pyramidhead Eyes in the second part of the game Silent Hill had a reason for existence because he was a reflection of things and madness, in the film he is only a character because the fans like him.
The fight between Pyramidhead and the razor woman was very embarrassing (yes, this is the final fight, so oops spoiler)
Connection with Allysa is a cheap comedy, where for hell it is not known what it was for and what sense it made (the whole reunification scene is a mockery for me) computer locations, unfortunately they look very poor compared to the first part of the movie.
Dialogue is a different galaxy of absurdities, the heroes behave like slightly mentally disabled. The film has logical errors, they are so big that it's hard to turn a blind eye.
Despite the fact that the movie from the Silent Hill series did not do much good here. The whole plot of a boy from a sect in love in Heather is downright weak, first he wants her to come to town later, and so can't make up his mind a thousand times.
The script didn't turn out well, it was supposed to be epic cinema, and there is a vision of a director who watched maybe five minutes of gameplay on YouTube.
The finale itself is terribly poor, the lack of a proper boss (see game boss) makes you bored and as a viewer you wonder what is really going on in this movie.
It is a pity that the puppet creature was not the final boss, because my assessment would certainly go up. The film is painfully predictable, without knowing the game we can predict after 10 minutes how this production will end.
While I consider part 1 to be a small masterpiece full of a great dark atmosphere where the mother is looking for her daughter in the famous Silent Hill, the second part with this daughter Well, he is like a paralytic in a hospital, supposedly alive, but as if he was already drawn to the other world.
Acting as it is, Heather plays quite well, the rest of the actors are wood and bricks on the screen. Even Sean Bean at the end is already playing so redrawn that I wanted to laugh.
After the first part, many thought that the next ones would be mega scary, but this movie completely bury the SH film brand and rather soon nobody will dig up this corpse, although if someone would take on an excellent two (game) then I am willing to watch :)
4/10 because of the poor knowledge about the game and mixing it up as long as it is entertaining, no script and only the movie saves the puppet creature;>
I will also mention that as it is Silent Hill, there are also famous nurses here and I do not have to complain about anything they look correct. And the appearance of creatures from SH2 I can not explain myself. They wanted too much, and it turned out very, very average.
