There is always the problem with Christmas films, that they do not have an interesting plot, of course there are die exceptions, but mostly Christmas films are average, but Christmas horror is a completely different Galaxy.
The film, despite the silly title, is not bad at all, at first I thought it would be another bad horror film, even more so for Christmas, and it would turn out to be massively bad, but I was positively surprised during the screening.
The plot is intriguingly paced and in fact the action begins in the third act, by which time the director has adequately tried to ground the main character in what drives him and what happens and how Christmas begins to affect him. Despite the slasher elements, this is a neatly realised psychological drama where trauma turns into obsession and the subsequent consequences.
The film builds suspense, and the later slasher part interestingly spices up what drives the protagonist on Christmas Eve. Forgotten and highly underrated, which is a pity because the film has a very colourful character as well as an anti-hero in the form of Sister Superior who contributed to the later consequences.
Of course, the film also has its strong absurdities and idiocies. While initially the protagonist carries out his imaginary order of who is good and who is bad, later it turns into a slaughter, which unfortunately spoils the tone of the film.

There are some scenes that are just badly done, which makes it hard to watch, but the build up of the whole environment of who the protagonist has become and what has influenced him is great material for a film, and some of the murders sum up the psyche in an interesting way.
As a Christmas movie it is worth watching :)

Z filmami świątecznymi jest zawsze ten problem, ze nie posiadają ciekawej fabuły, oczywiście zdarzają die wyjątki jednak w dużej mierze filmy świąteczne bywają średnie, ale horror świąteczny to już całkowicie inna Galaktyka.
Film pomimo trochę głupiego tytułu to wcale tak zły nie jest, początkowo myślałem, ze będzie to kolejny kiepski horror tym bardziej świąteczny i okaże się masakrycznie kiepski, a jednak zaskoczyłem się pozytywnie w czasie seansu.
Fabuła jest intrygująco poprowadzona i tak naprawdę akcja zaczyna się w trzecim akcie, a do tego czasu reżyser odpowiednio stara się ugruntować głównego bohatera co nim kieruje oraz co się dzieje i jak zaczynaja święta na niego wpływać. Po mimo elementów Slasher, to jest zgrabnie zrealizowany dramat psychologiczny, gdzie trauma przeradza się w obsesje oraz późniejsze konsekwencje.
Film buduje napięcie, a późniejsza cześć slashera ciekawie doprawia to co kieruje bohaterem w czasie wigilijnej nocy. Zapomniany i mocno niedoceniony, a szkoda bo film ma bardzo barwna postać jak i antybohatera w postaci siostry przełożonej która przyczyniła się do późniejszych konsekwencji.
Film oczywiście miewa tez mocne niedorzeczności i idiotyzmy. O ile początkowo bohater wykonuje swoje urojone zlecenie kto jest dobry, a kto zły tak później to przeradza się w rzeź co niestety mocno psuje wydźwięk filmu.

Są tez sceny, które po prostu są złe zrealizowane przez to ciezko się ogląda, jednak budowanie całej otoczki to kim stał się bohater i co wpływało na niego to jest świetny materiał na film, zaś niektóre morderstwa ciekawie podsumowują psychikę.
Jako świąteczny film to warto obejrzeć :)

By zawsze pomysły kwitły, a upvoty były u was częste. By 2022 zakończył cała pandemie i wszyscy mogliśmy się spotkać i razem wypić dobra kawę. By te święta były dla was wyjątkowe By smutek, żal i depresja odeszły a spotkało was dobro radośc i wiele wiele pogodnych dni. By prezenty były takie jakie pragnęliście. By Święty Mikołaj odwiedził jutro was. Życzę wam by te Święta nigdy nie były tymi ostatnimi.
