Today I watched on Netflix the latest version of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which theoretically according to official news is a continuation of the 1974. I wrote theoretically because only one character from the main cast makes an appearance although performance is too big a word in this movie.
In 1974 Toby Hooper made a film which was a big hit in the horror genre. Then in 2002 we got a new version with a great atmosphere and interesting characters who were exaggerated, but it was fun to watch a bunch of kids fighting a battle with Latherface. Subsequent movies were getting worse and worse, taking the brand down lower and lower, until Netflix bought the rights to the latest installment and released it on the platform today.
Well, the movie is bad and not because the main antagonist is the guy from Saw. The movie is bad because of the chaotic lack of a script.
The characters are so bland that we forget their names and wait for someone to die.
They see a confederate flag and try to take it down by breaking into a juvenile detention center, which causes an old lady to have a heart problem (ridiculous?) The old lady and her foster kid are driven to the hospital in a police car (no ambulances). The two sisters don't know yet that the old lady's foster kid is the famous and popular Latherface, who is about to start his bloody crusade.
The film is supposed to be a sequel to the 1974 film so it has a lot of absurdities, like the lady who is the only survivor and has been looking for Latherface for over 40 years in this town where there are maybe 8 people.
Latherface who discovers skin from an old lady only to become her and then make up ;)

Sisters who act like Lemings and make identical mistakes.
On the plus side, there is an auto-irony, where Latherface is laughed at and the whole environment and if the filmmakers had hit it harder, who knows, maybe it would have been an interesting film.
Despite the fact that the film is only an hour and a half long, it drags on and on, and the deaths are very poorly executed, which makes us yawn instead of enjoying the film.
The sole survivor is cut almost in half, but still has the strength to give directions to her sister.
This scene is so stupid that while watching it I felt embarrassed that the filmmakers were making fools of the audience.
It's a shame that Latherface can't get a good dark movie, and instead gets a movie so stupid with such political correctness that I felt like eating my own eyes instead of watching it. Unfortunately the newer sequels don't go the right way, they even stumble on the smallest bumps without giving even a shred of enjoyment to the production.
I will also mention the appearance of our antagonist, who here looks like a clown from the game Dead by Dealight (if I wrote the title then forgive me) there are scenes that strongly resemble a drunken clown from the game, I do not know if the director is a fan of the game, but it's a shame that he spoiled the character of Latherface so much It is known that this series has never been intelligent, but a good director can always add something interesting, or change it so that the tension grows.
New Candyman was successful and interesting, Halloween was also a pity that Latherface can not have his good comeback and keeps stumbling over the same jokes. An interesting fact is that in the original version Latherface severely cuts his leg, while in the new version he jumps like Sonic. I hope more movies like this don't get made because it's murder on films. It's a pity, I was hoping that after very poor films the producers would finally wake up and we would get a film which will build the atmosphere of horror and madness, but what we get are two handicapped sisters who behave as if they were taken from a sitcom. The original Latherface is turning over in its coffin when it sees this abomination.

Netflix is not the right way to go, you can't make a movie with just a corpse, there still has to be a proper plot.
On the plus side there's the finale, which made me happy because of the fucking heroine who felt the closeness of Latherface

Dziś obejrzałem na Netflix najnowsza wersje Teksańskiej Masakry Piła Mechaniczna, która teoretycznie według oficjalnych wiadomości jest kontynuacja z 1974 roku. Napisałem teoretycznie gdyż tylko jedna postać z głównej obsady występuje choć występ to zbyt duże słowo w tym filmie.
W 1974 roku Toby Hooper stworzył film, który mocno namieszał jeśli chodzi o horrory. Następnie w 2002 dostaliśmy nowa wersje z świetnie budowanym klimatem i ciekawymi bohaterami, którzy byli przerysowani, ale fajnie się oglądało bandę dzieciaków którzy musieli stoczyć batalie z Latherfacem. Kolejne filmy były coraz gorsze, staczamy markę coraz niżej, aż Netflix wykupił prawa do najnowszej odsłony i dziś udostępnił na platformie najnowsza cześć.
Cóż, film jest zły i to nie dlatego, ze główny antagonista to gość z Piła. Film jest zły, ze względu na chaotyczny brak scenariusza.
Bohaterowie są tak nijacy, ze zapominamy ich imiona i czekamy, aż ktoś zginie.
Młodzi ludzie jada do Harlow by zrobić licytacje budynków i dać miasteczku nowe inwestycje ( brzmi głupio?) Na miejscu widza flagę konfederacji i próbują ja ściągnąć włamując się do ośrodka wychowawczego, przez co starsza pani zaczyna mieć problem z sercem(niedorzeczne?) starsza pani wraz ze swoim wychowankiem jedzie policyjnym autem do szpitala( nie ma karetek) Dwie siostry jeszcze nie wiedza, ze wychowanek starszej pani to znany i lubiany Latherface, który rozpocznie swoją krwawa krucjatę.
Film ma być sequelem filmu 1974 wiec posiada wiele niedorzeczności, jak np pani która jako jedyna ocalała i szukała Latherface przez ponad 40 lat w tym miasteczku gdzie jest może z 8 osób.
Latherface, ktory odkryją skore, ze starszej pani tylko po to by nią się stać i później się umalować ;)

Na plus idzie autoironia, gdzie zostaje wyśmiany Latherface oraz cała otoczka i gdyby twórcy bardziej w te to y uderzyli to kto wie może byłby to ciekawy film.
Film mimo ze trwa tylko półtorej godziny strasznie się dłuży, a śmierci są bardzo słabo wykonane przez co zamiast się cieszyć ziewamy, ze ten film dalej trwa.
Jedyna ocalała zostaje przecięta prawie na pół, ale ma jeszcze siły by dać wskazówki siostrze.
Ta scena jest tak głupia, ze oglądając ja czułem zażenowanie, ze twórcy robią z widzów debili.
Szkoda, ze Latherface nie może dostać dobrego mrocznego filmu, a zamiast tego dostaje film tak głupi z taka poprawnością polityczna, ze miałem ochotę zjeść własne oczy zamiast patrzeć na to dzieło. Niestety nowsze sequele nie idą dobra droga, wręcz potykają się na najmniejszych wybojach, nie dając nawet krzty uciechy z produkcji.
Wspomnę jeszcze wygląd naszego antagonisty, który tutaj wyglada jak klaun z gry Dead by Dealight(jeśli napisałem tytuł to wybaczcie) są sceny które mocno przypominają pijanego klauna z gry, nie wiem czy reżyser to fan gry, ale szkoda ze tak mocno popsuł postać Latherface Wiadomo, ze seria ta nigdy nie grzeszyła inteligencja, ale dobry reżyser zawsze może coś ciekawego dodać, albo zmienić tak by napięcie rosło.
Nowy Candyman był udany i ciekawy, Halloween tez szkoda, ze Latherface nie może mieć swojego dobrego powrotu i ciagle potyka sie o te same żarty. Ciekawostka jest fakt, ze w oryginale Latherface mocno przecina sobie nogę, zaś w nowej wersji śmiga jak Sonic. Oby więcej tego typu filmów nie powstało bo to morderstwo na filmach. Szkoda, liczyłem ze po bardzo słabych filmach wreszcie ockną się producenci i dostaniemy film który będzie świetnie budował klimat groze oraz szaleństwo, a dostajemy dwie upośledzone siostry, które zachowują się jakby urwały się z sitcomu. Oryginalny Latherface przewraca się w trumnie widząc ta abominację.
