We have to do something about it These are the first words of the protagonist, who, entering the bathroom with her family during a tornado, doesn't even know that everything will go wrong. The film focuses on a family who lock themselves in an armoured bathroom to protect themselves from a tornado, but bad luck, a tree falls on the door and their asylum becomes a trap. A minute lasts an hour, an hour lasts a day, and a day turns into a nightmare when no one can leave the bathroom.
The film belongs to the genre of those a little strange, but with an interesting narrative and plot. The strangeness here lies not in the family but in what lies beyond the bathroom.
The plot shows some flashbacks which led to the events and the whole confusion.
The film is a bit like Life is Strange but more located in one room, although with the same heroine. There is no reversal of time, but we do get the relationship between the girls, which leads to tragedy and the subsequent consequences and "teenage" black magic.
It may sound infantile, but it works very well here, the two stories that overlap in the climax perfectly show that you should not wish the other what is not nice to you or, one more word, hurt someone deeply.
Director Sean King deftly manoeuvres between people who are locked up and have no chance of getting out, and a quirkiness that underlines the meaning of the whole film. Some will say it's a horror film, others will say it's a psychedelic thrill ride with a lot of colour play, but my answer is that it's a psychological drama about a family and its problems and about love being put to the test and the consequences that follow.
The whole film looks good, I would even say very good, the characters go through their catharsis, and we see that they are getting worse by the minute, but they also show us their darker sides, like the father who is always drinking, the wife who was about to run away to her lover, the teenage daughter who was afraid of her love for a girl and how she would be accepted, and the son who plays an equally important role here.
The daughter, though in love with the girl, doesn't even know what she has gotten herself into. Each of the characters is played very convincingly and expressively, even though there are scenes straight out of a horror movie, this little family could exist and could have the same problems cut off from the world.
The film's bathroom is a kind of Silent Hill, first giving the characters asylum and then toying with them, although not giving them the opportunity to leave the bathroom every now and then giving them another obstacle to eventually break them and reveal their true interior.
A great piece of work and films like this are respected, a lot has been switched around here in terms of building the right atmosphere or the deteriorating psyche of each character.

Film skupia się na rodzinie, którzy zamykają się w pancernej łazience by uchronić się przed tornadem, jednak pech chciał, ze drzewo zwala się na drzwi i przez to ich azyl staje się pułapka. Minuta trwa godzinę, godzina trwa dzień, a dzień zamienia się w koszmar kiedy nikt nie może opuścić łazienki.
Film należy do gatunku tych troszkę dziwnych, ale z ciekawa narracja i fabuła. Dziwność tutaj polega, nie na rodzinnie a na tym co znajduje się poza łazienka.
Fabuła pokazuje pewne retrospekcje które doprowadziły do wydarzeń i do całego zamieszania.
Film to trochę Life is Strange przy czym bardziej ulokowany w jednym pomieszczeniu, choć z taka sama bohaterka. Nie ma tu co prawda cofania czasu, ale dostajemy związek między dziewczynami, który doprowadza do tragedii i późniejszych konsekwencji oraz „nastolatkowej” czarnej magii.
Może brzmi infantylnie, ale działa tutaj bardzo dobrze, dwie historie które w kulminacyjnym momencie się zazębiają świetnie ukazują to by nie życzyć drugiemu co tobie nie miłe bądź, jedno więcej słowotok zranić dogłębnie kogoś.
Reżyser Sean King zgrabnie manewruje między osobami które są zamknięte i nie maja szans wyjsc, a dziwactwem, które podkreśla wymowę całego filmu. Jedni powiedzą, ze to horror, drudzy zaś, ze to psychodeliczna jazda bez trzymanki z duża domieszka zabawy kolorem, zaś ja odpowiem, ze to dramat psychologiczny o rodzinnie i jej problemach oraz o miłości, która została wystawiona na próbę i późniejsze konsekwencje.
Całość filmu prezentuje się dobrze, nawet powiem bardzo dobrze, bohaterowie przezywają swoje catharsis, a my widzimy, ze z minuty na minutę jest z nimi coraz gorzej przy czym ukazują nam tez swoje mroczniejsze strony jak ojciec, który wiecznie pije, żona która miała uciec do kochanka, nastoletnia córka, która bała się swojej miłości do dziewczyny i tego jak zostanie zaakceptowana i syna, który tutaj odgrywa role równie ważna.
Córka mimo, ze zakochana w dziewczynie nie wie nawet w co się wplątała. Każda z postaci gra bardzo przekonująco i wyraziście, mimo ze pojawiają się sceny z rodem z horroru to jednak ta mała rodzina mogła byś istnieć i mogła by mieć identyczne problemy odcięta od świata.
Filmowa łazienka to taki Silent Hill, pierw daje bohaterom azyl, by następnie bawić się nimi, chociaż nie dając im możliwości opuszczenia łazienki co chwile dając im kolejne przeszkody by ostatecznie ich złamać i ukazać ich prawdziwe wnętrze.
Świetne dzieło i takie filmy się szanuje, dużo tutaj zostało przestawione na zasadzie budowania odpowiedniego klimatu czy pogarszającej się psychiki każdego bohatera.
