Redeem your trespasses
The movie What Josiah Saw puts the story through its paces in a rather intriguing way, which I think worked out great by the fact that as an audience we don't know much until the finale.
The director set himself the task of creating a gesture atmosphere that absorbs the viewer for 2 hours, and so we get an unusual story with an interesting development and a great finale that we can not predict.
The film consists of 3 stories, which theoretically do not have much in common, but they have one thing in common - each of the characters gets a letter. The 1st story is the story of a father and son who live on an old farm and the son has to put up with the excesses of his father, one day at the urging of his dead wife. The father decides to change his fate.
At first the film may resemble the production Hand of God, but the closer to the end of the 1st story it gets so strange and even unsavory. 1 story has nothing of horror more two important characters are shown, how they live and that their life is based only on themselves. The son has no one and lives only for his own father. He tries to help him although he is despotic.
The 2nd story is something completely different we meet a young boy who has a lot of problems with the city mafia, in order to atone for his debt he agrees to rob gypsies of gold. The story is very interestingly plotted, the action picks up when a fortune teller foretells the hero a quick death. In the story happens a lot in the meantime still saves the girl so you can say it's a hero, but the past does not let itself be forgotten.
The 3rd story centers on a woman , who wants a child, but can't get pregnant herself because of a procedure she had done a long time ago, so she tries to get a child from adoption. Each of the 3 characters gets a letter about wanting to buy their land.
What the 3 different characters from different backgrounds have in common is that they are siblings. Meeting years later will result in a rather strange relationship The film brilliantly mixes the conventions of a thriller with drama, while boldly portraying certain problems.

As much as we expect a typical horror movie, we may be disappointed because horror is of course present here but it plays a role more to focus the viewer on the story and the extremely interestingly crafted finale.
7/10 It watches well and does not bore, while the finale surprises and leaves quite a non-obvious ending to the whole story. Recommended.
Odkup swoje winy

Polecam.
