Imagine a beautiful huge forest shrouded in mist and a small town in the middle. Mysteries of the past and criminal puzzles are a daily occurrence. Nobody wants to go to Villefranche, but here comes the prosecutor, who will have to find himself in a strange place, where deals do not always mean corruptions, and evil has many faces.
The series consists of two series and we follow a lady lieutenant from a small capital station, where in each episode she solves some macabre mystery, and in the process tries to solve the mystery of her former kidnapping. The series is slow and the puzzles are well thought out. They draw the viewer into the whirlwind of events in order to later power up new suspects, and this is an interesting solution.
The series also has forest deity themes. In many films, series and books this character has already appeared. However, here he is more like something everyone strives for than a threat.
Every character in Zone Blanche are interestingly written. And after the first episode we will like some characters and others will make us roll our eyes at the sight of them.
It's not an outstanding series, but it makes up for it with a lot of atmosphere and an interesting plot of the Lord of the Forest where he is like a World Grall for many.
When it comes to detective mysteries, each episode has its own closed chapter and in each everything is solved, while puzzles are well-thought-out and quite logical.
It is worse with the moral plots, where there is sometimes chaos and it is sometimes hard to find out who is with whom at the moment.
The series unfortunately doesn't have a finale because the finale of season 2 asks more questions than it answers, giving itself another wicket for season 3 which has been in the making for almost 3 years now.
The finale of season 2 is disappointing, many plots have been cheapened, and many have been blown out of proportion to make the viewer wonder about the themes that have been explored. As much as I liked 15 episodes, the last one shows an obvious lack of idea and willingness to produce, too much was shown too fast and too much was wanted, and at the same time nothing was explained.
Season 1 tells the story of the disappearance of Mayor Stainer's daughter and the plot of the kidnapping of the lieutenant, and it will be her duty to find the girl, while trying not to go crazy. Season 2 focuses more on Forest Man and the lieutenant and the change in the town after the revolutions that have taken place.
On the one hand, the series is dark, almost reminiscent of Hannibal(TV series) or Twin Peaks, on the other hand we have a lot of ecological themes and how the bad guys do bad things and the good guys have to operate on the edge of the law.
I recommend it, but I warn you that the series doesn't solve any major mystery. Many guesses will be made.
Wyobraźcie sobie piękny ogromny las owiany mgła, a w samym środku małe miasteczko. Tajemnice przeszłości oraz kryminalne zagadki są codziennością. Do Villefranche nikt nie chce się zapuszczać, jednak trafia tutaj prokurator, który będzie musiał odnaleźć się w dziwnym miejscu, gdzie układy nie zawsze oznaczają korpucje, a zło ma wiele twarzy.
Serial składa się z dwóch serii i podążamy śladami pani porucznik z małego stołecznego posterunku, gdzie w każdym odcinku rozwiązuje jakaś makabryczna zagadkę, a przy okazji stara się rozwiązać zagadkę swojego dawnego porwania. Serial jest powolny, a zagadki przemyślane. Wciągają widza w wir wydarzeń by później moc podrzucać nowych podejrzanych i to jest ciekawe rozwiązanie.
Serial tez ma w sobie wątki bóstwa leśnego. W wielu filmach, serialach czy książkach pojawiła się już ta postać. Jednak tutaj jest bardziej jako coś do czego wszyscy dążą niż swoistym zagrożeniem.
Każda postać z Zone Blanche są ciekawie napisani. I już po pierwszym odcinku będziemy pewne postacie lubić, a inne wręcz będą powodować, ze będziemy przewracać oczami na ich widok.
Nie jest to wybitny serial, jednak rekompensuje wiele klimatem oraz ciekawie poprowadzonym wątkiem Pana Lasu gdzie jest dla wielu niczym Światy Grall.
Jeśli chodzi o zagadki kryminalne to każdy odcinek ma swój zamknięty rozdział i w każdym wszystko jest rozwiązane, zaś zagadki są przemyślane i w miarę logicznie poprowadzone.
Gorzej już jest z watkami obyczajowymi tutaj bywa niekiedy chaos i niekiedy ciężko się odnaleźć, kto z kim jest aktualnie.
Serial niestety nie posiada finału gdyż finał 2 sezonu więcej zadaje pytań nizeli na nie odpowiada dając sobie kolejna furtkę 3 sezon który już powstaje od blisko 3 lat.
Finał 2 sezonu zawodzi, wiele wątków zostało spłyconych, wiele zaś zostało rozdmuchanych by widz się zastanawiał bad watkami jakie zostały ukazane. O ile 15 odcinków mi się podobało, tak ostatni widać ewidentnie brak pomysłu i chęci realizatorskich, zbyt szybko i zbyt wiele chciano pokazać, a przy tym nic nie wytłumaczajac.
1 sezon opowiada o zaginieciu córki burmistrza Stainera oraz pojawia się właśnie wątek porwania pani porucznik i to w jej obowiązku będzie odnaleźć dziewczynę, a przy tym starając się nie zwariować. 2 sezon skupia się bardziej na Leśnym Człowieku oraz pani porucznik oraz zmianie w miasteczku po rewolucjach jakie miały miejsce.
Serial z jednej strony jest mroczny, wręcz zachaczajacy o Hannibala(serial) czy Twin Peaks, z drugiej zaś mamy dużo wątków ekologicznych i to jak źli robią złe rzeczy, a dobrzy musza działać na pograniczu prawa.
Polecam, choć uprzedzam was, ze serial niestety nie rozwiązuje żadnej ważnej zagadki prócz jednej. Wiele domysłów postanie.
