Are you curious about the title of this TV series? If yes, you are not alone. This title gripped me at first sight. I researched it, my anticipation became fulfilled when I discovered that the creator and one of the executive producers is Marc Cherry!
When I watch movies and TV shows, I am always on the lookout for actors, actresses and sometimes creators. I am familiar with Marc Cherry's works. He's an American TV writer and producer popularly known for Desperate Housewives and Devious Maids. If you have watched these two TV series and not yet watched Why Women Kill, you are living in the past. Literally. Hehehe.
Why Women Kill is an interesting dramedy (a combination of comedy and drama) that focuses on three families - their lives and marriage problems that couples face even when they portray a different image outside the home.
The plots are interwoven into multiple periods— from the 1960s to the 1980s to the 2000s. This series explored relationship issues, societal pressures and portrayal of feminism in each decade. More interesting is that all these issues were ingeniously tied to one particular house.
A death occurred in the same house, in each of the families and these deaths were connected to the discovery of the infidelity of the three main protagonists' husbands. How haunting is that?!
I'll say it's a series worth binge-watching and you can do so over one weekend. With the likes of Lucy Liu, Ginnifer Goodwin and Kirby Howell-Baptiste as the three main protagonists, I knew the series would be amazing and I was not disappointed. I encourage you to watch it.
The first season premiered in August 2019 consisting of ten episodes. The second season was delayed for a bit but it's scheduled to premiere on 3rd June 2021. I cannot wait!
